Abstract

Problem in using skylight for batik craftsperson is discomfort thermal that could bother batik craftsperson work. The skylight which used in the preliminary study was declared really effective for day lighting batik craftsperson work plane. This must be proved to comfort thermal problem. Questions in this research is how to solve discomfort thermal in the batik craftsperson space caused use skylight to natural light. The research method uses phenomenology and simulation ecotect program. Analysis about the condition of exixting show discomfort thermal because temperature is 32,79-35,01oC, still overheat than 27,1oC according to SNI 03-6572-2001. The analysis on alternatif 1 showed that the decrease in temperature 2,08oC be 30,01oC in June, but still too hot however these materials has have low U-value. Further analysis with the changes material properties, show reduced from the fist alternative 4,27oC become 28,52oC. Although this value has not yet reach 27,1oC l in SNI but thermal comfort could be achieved by air movement (mechanical fan) that can make people feel 2 oC temperature decrease from the real.

Abstract

Pulau Geulis adalah tempat bermukim yang sangat padat, dihuni lebih dari 2500 jiwa dengan luas hanya1,57 hektar. Kehidupan penduduk yang padat perlu didukung dengan konservasi energi supaya kehidupan di pulau ini lebih sehat dan terpenuhi. Konservasi energi adalah usaha untuk menghasilkan sistem energi yang murah dan bermanfaat untuk kehidupan manusia. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengkaji aktifias-aktifnas yang terjadi di pemukiman dan ruang komunal yang mempunyai potensi untuk konservasi energi. Metode yang digunakan adalah menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan melakukan pengamatan lang sung di lapangah, studi tipologi unit rumah tinggal dan ruang komunal, melakukan wawancara langsung dan studi literatur tentang falsafah hidup masyarakat Sunda di Pulau Geulis. Penelitian awal ini menitikberatkan disain jaringan potensi energi unit rumah tinggal yang terintegrasi dengan potensi energi ruang komunal di Pulau Geulis. Hasil penelitian adalah usulan disain jaringan energi unit rumah tinggal dan energi komunal dengan menerapkan instalasi biogas sebagai alat utama untuk penyelesaian masalah. Konsep keberlanjutan energi didukung oleh potensi budaya sosial masyarakat pulau Geulis yang menunjukkan kemampuan untuk hidup dan bergotong royong. Abstract

Less optimized natural lighting would result in apartment residents being dependent on artificial lighting, thus increasing energy consumption. Building opening orientation considerably influences the natural light intensity. This research aimed to analyze the natural lighting pattern on apartment units with east-oriented opening orientation and determine methods to support the existing condition to be optimized. This research applied the descriptive analysis research method assumed from calculation outcome of the software DIALux. Results indicated a proportion of units in The H-Residence Apartment do not meet the requirements specified by SNI 03 6197-2011, predominantly in the kitchen area. The average light intensity in a day in units with east-oriented opening reached its peak at 08.00 – 09.00 a.m. and decreased towards 16.00 p.m. following the sun path. The light intensity in numerous areas exceeded the requirements significantly. Other factors influencing the natural light distribution are layout and interior element. Several ways to optimize the natural light intensity utilization are adding suitable shading device, using dark-colored interior elements, and considering the sun path in designing building openings.

Abstract

Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI) publishes an assessment device called Greenship to be used as a benchmark in planning to maintain green buildings. PT. Medtek one of the low-rise office buildings in Jakarta that is an area with moderate air pollution level based on air Pollution Standard Index (ISPU) which has no effect on human or animal health but influential on sensitive plants and aesthetic values. This research aimed to know the criteria points obtained by PT. Medtek,  influence of air quality, and building conditions in the user of the building.  Measurements of indoor air health, comfort and questionnaire data collection is done indoors when user’s activity in an office building is underway. The method used is a comparison method by comparing the results of field measurements with Greenship Rating Tools Existing Building version 1.1. The criteria achieved by PT. Medtek are a non-smoking campaign, outside air introduction, cigarette smoke control, and visual comfort. Criterion points earned 12 out of 18 scoring points are reviewed or meet 66.67% of the total assessment aspect of quality and comfort of indoor air. Abstract

Lighting in the Electrical Engineering Laboratory of the Jakarta State Polytechnic (PNJ) is one-factor supporting student practice activities from 07.30 - 16.00 WIB. The observation indicated that the PNJ Electrical Engineering laboratory's lighting undistributed evenly, even though more comprehensive lighting is needed to run well. The purpose of this study is to analyze the suitability of lighting in the Electrical Engineering laboratory with the minimum standard of SNI 03-6575-2001 concerning Procedures for Designing Artificial Lighting Systems in Buildings. The method used in this research is to compare the measurement results against the SNI 03-6575-2001 standard. Researchers took measurements in the Safety and Electrical Machinery laboratory room, Analog laboratory 1 and Digital laboratory 2, Department of Electrical Engineering, State Polytechnic of Jakarta. Analysis of the percentage suitability of combination light in the Safety and Electrical Machinery laboratory in general, namely 70.67%. Based on the measurement results, the suitability of lighting in the Department of Electrical Engineering laboratory, State Polytechnic of Jakarta, is already following SNI's minimum lighting level. Abstract

The most significant energy used in middle-class apartments is the air circulation unit. The use of energy from the air circulation system is related to the comfort of the user in the housing unit, so it adjusts to the applicable standard. The objection of this study is to investigate the optimization of the air circulation system in middle-class apartments in an urban area. The method is a comparative study of the government standard. The stages of the research did site observation, take air quality measurement, and interview with the questionnaire. Indoor air quality data collected are temperature, relative humidity, CO, and CO2. The data measurement compared to SNI 03-6572-2001 on Procedures for Designing Air Conditioning and Ventilation Systems in Buildings, Indonesian National Standardization.  The questionnaire was to find out the comfort of residents on indoor air quality (IAQ). This study reveals that almost all air quality aspects are consistent to standard, except the temperature. The results of this study that meet the criteria related to air circulation are air movement 40%, relative humidity 65.5%, air movement 40%, CO 78%, and CO2 95%. The result of the questionnaires states that 72.4% of residents feel comfortable with the air quality in the dwelling unit. The size of the room and the adequacy of ventilation in the place influences the value of the air circulation system besides air movement.

Abstract

AbstractEvery Company has to implement a role of working hours based on Labor Regulation (UU No.13/2003). If a labor works morethan working time limit than the Company has to pay working overtime. This 3 hours overtime only implemented in a workday or 14 hours in a week. Kepmen. No. 233/MEN/2003 determines that an employer can work overtime of the role (UU No.13/2003), depends on charactheristic of work. Working on Construction needs long hours, caused some works cannot be delayed. It can impact to the demise of the production process and material damage. Fresfgraduates of civil engineering, Politeknik Negeri Jakarta, that work on construction company are generally lack of knowledge and working expperience, if company does them for working not in worktime, no shifting, no working overtime, may cause K3 problem. This research is done to analyze freshgraduates work overtime and payment which suits regulation. The research objection is to discover new recommendation ideas that benefit the Jakarta State Polytechnic, especially the final semester students. This result can be used to as information before entering work. Then, researcher can find idea of thinking how the labor rules and uses it for freshgraduate preparation. Apabila melebihi ketentuan waktu kerja tersebut, maka waktu kerja dianggap lembur sehingga pekerja berhak atas upah lembur. Lembur hanya diperbolehkan tidak lebih dari 3 (tiga) jam dalam 1 (satu) kerja, dan 14 (empatbelas) jam dalam 1 (satu) minggu. Kepmen. No. 233/MEN/2003 membolehkan karyawannya bekerja melebihi ketentuan UU No. 13 tahun 2003, asal saja pekerjaan yang dilakukan menurut jenis dan sifatnya harus dilaksanakan atau dijalankan secara terus menerus. Pekerjaan dalam bidang konstruksi memerlukan waktu panjang, mengingat beberapa pekerjaan apabila ditunda mengakibatkan terhentinya proses produksi dan rusaknya bahan. Lulusan baru Jurusan Teknik Sipil Politeknik Negeri Jakarta yang bekerja di perusahaan konstruksi kurang memiliki pengetahuan dan pengalaman bekerja, apabila perusahaan konstruksi mempekerjakan lulusan tidak sesuai jam kerja, tidak ada shift, tidak ada kompensasi lembur akan menimbulkan masalah terhadap K3. Penelitian meneliti penerapan jam kerja dan pengupahan yang sesuai ketentuan peraturan perundang-undangan, terhadap lulusan baru. Diharapkan melalui penelitian ini ditemukan gagasan baru/rekomendasi pemikiran yang bermanfaat bagi Politeknik Negeri Jakarta, khususnya mahasiswa semester akhir, dimana hasil penelitian dapat digunakan sebagai indikator sebelum memasuki dunia kerja, agar ditemukan gagasan pemikiran bagaimana aturan tentang ketenagakerjaan lebih berperan untuk lulusan dalam memasuki lapangan kerja. Abstract

Islamic Boarding School building functions as a place of education for prospective ulama who are expected to be the disseminators of Islamic religious knowledge to the wider community. Coronavirus transmission was very fast in 2019-2022, so Islamic boarding schools must appeal to the government’s way of learning, one of which is to comply with the Covid-19 protection protocol. This study aims to get Islamic boarding school design with Covid-19 protection protocol. The method we did was survey and observation to initial research data, then made floor plans for the first and the second floors with AutoCAD according to a related party and expert ideas. Finally, with SketchUp Pro, a standard building design for the COVID-19 health protocol was obtained, such as the design of the top, 3D, side, and inside view. The design consisted of a bedroom in 8x8 meters with a height of 4 meters for 18 students with adequate ventilation and lighting. In every room and terrace, there is Covid-19 health protocol message. The area for hand washing with soap is located in the right and left wings of the bedroom. The stairs and doors for entry and exit are different. The rooms are arranged with one-way circulation of human movement. The corridor to come through the main stairs or the area near the bathroom goes down through the stairs near the ablution place. With this arrangement of beds, students' movement in the bedroom leads to another corridor from the direction of arrival. The students sitting on the bed can see the green view. They can move without colliding with each other, so it feels more relieved. They are targeted for activities in good health and lower disease transmission. As a result, students get more breathing space and behave more responsibly for personal health. For teachers and management, it is easier to carry out transmission tracing.

Abstract

Implementation of Green Building can reduce global warming and create health and comfort workplace in order to improve employee performance. Greenhub Suited Office has the potential to get high points in achieving the Indoor Health and Comfort Aspect on the Greenship Interior Space 1.0. This research was done during work activities with 60% occupancy rate. This paper aims to analyze the achievements on indoor health and comfort aspect based on the Greenship rating tools Interior Space version 1.0. The descriptive approach on this reasearch was implemented by collecting data through the interview with an expert and occupants, literature study, the data retrieval with comparative study according to GBCI standard, fields survey directly, and field measurements. Based on the assessment, almost all the Indoor health and comfort criterias had been achieved by Greenhub Suited Offices. The results showed that Greenhub obtained a total index of 23 points with a percentage of 85%. Greenhub must earn 85% of Greenship Rating Tools percentage for the other five aspects on the GBCI standard to get a platinum rating.

Abstract

Kelurahan Beji merupakan salah satu kelurahan di Kecamatan Beji, Kota Depok. Saat ini, Kelurahan Beji sudah cukup padat dengan penduduk. Kebanyakan lahan di sana sudah digunakan sebagai perumahan warga sehingga berdampak pada menipisnya ketersediaan lahan kosong sebagai daerah resapan air. Hal ini menyebabkan kawasan tersebut menjadi rawan banjir. Ketika hujan turun dengan intensitas yang cukup tinggi dalam waktu yang cukup lama, maka kemungkinan besar kawasan tersebut akan tergenang air. Dosen Jurusan Teknik Sipil Kelompok Bidang Keahlian (KBK) Dasar Teknik melalui Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat berbasis KBK yang didanai oleh Unit Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat Politeknik Negeri Jakarta (UP2M PNJ) menanggulangi permasalahan tersebut dengan cara membangun sumur resapan air hujan dengan menerapkan rain water harvesting yang memiliki serapan 2 kali lebih cepat. Prinsip kerjanya adalah dengan menyalurkan dan menampung air hujan dalam lubang atau sumur agar air dapat memiliki waktu tinggal di permukaan tanah lebih sehingga sedikit demi sedikit air tersebut dapat meresap ke dalam tanah. Air tanah tersebut dapat dimanfaatkan kembali melalui sumur atau mata air. Selanjut­nya dapat digunakan kembali untuk keperluan seperti menyiram tanaman.
