Abstract

This research mainly talks about the use of quick response (QR) code reader in automating of recording the users' face. The applied QR code reader system is a dynamic type, which can be modified as required, such as adding a database, functioning to store or retrieve information in the QR code image. Since the QR code image is randomly based on its information, a QR code generator is required to display the image and store the information. While the face recorder uses a dataset available in the OpenCV library. Thus, only the registered QR code image can be used to record the user's face. To be able to work, the QR code reader should be 10 to 55 cm from the QR code image.

Abstract

The development of science and technology, especially information and communication technology (ICT) has penetrated various fields of life including education and teaching. The progress of ICTs is undeniably a lot of positive impacts on the progress of today's education world. Social networking or friendship through the Internet, otherwise known as social networking, is also experiencing rapid growth. The trend of using social networking is actually an interesting opportunity to be utilized as one of the learning media. Utilization of the internet and social networking in learning in Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Nurul Furqoon Binjai is an effort to improve teacher efficiency so that it is more focused on improving the quality of learning by providing training on the use of Whatsapp, Teamviewer and Google Drive. in facilitating teachers in undergoing the process of teaching and learning in schools. It is expected that by knowing the function of social media, teachers can easily and quickly transfer information to students or to teachers at Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Nurul Furqoon schools.

Abstract

A color space is an abstract mathematical model that describes how a color can be represented as a row of numbers. One abstract mathematical model of the color space that represents the brightness of a color is the value color space or known as the value filter. For this reason, a gray scale is used with a value range of 0 to 255. This is tested in detecting a red laser pointer light spot that is directed into a field. The results obtained show that more inconsistent detection results are displayed than consistent detection results (can be seen in table 1 and table 2). This can happen because the area of the image captured by the camcorder has several pixels with a maximum gray level value or a gray level value that exceeds the specified limit value (maxBri variable).

Abstract

Geofencing merupakan suatu batas virtual yang mengelilingi sebuah area geografis. Area geografis terdiri-dari banyak titik yang mana nilai titik dapat diketahui dengan menggunakan perangkat GPS (Global Potisioning System). Sekarang ini perangkat GPS sudah ada yang berbentuk hanya modul GPS saja, sehingga bisa dikembangkan secara mandiri sesuai kebutuhan. Contoh dari modul tersebut adalah modul GPS GY-NEO6MV2 (Ublox NEO6MV2). Modul ini dapat berkomunikasi dengan mikrokontroler melalui komunikasi serial. Untuk itu penerapan geofencing ke mikrokontroler dapat dilakukan. Wilayah geofencing-nya berbentuk segitiga sembarang yang lokasinya di sekitar kampus Politeknik Negeri Medan, dimana pendekatan Pertidaksamaan Linear Dua Variabel digunakan dalam menentukan wilayah tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah  research and development (R&D). Total rata-rata penyimpangan titik ukur jika dibandingkan dengan GPS buatan pabrik adalah 6,455127033 meter. Dan sistem memberikan indikator OUT jika berada di luar wilayah geofencing dan indikator IN jika berada di dalam wilayah geofencing.

Abstract

Informasi yang terdapat pada QR Code dapat dibaca dengan alat pemindainya. Alat pemindai yang digunakan berupa kamera yang terkoneksi ke sistemnya, contohnya webcam. Saat sekarang ini, alat pemindai akan bekerja secara otomatis jika mendeteksi objek QR Code tersebut. Pada penelitian ini, alat pemindai QR Code yang sudah ada akan dikembangkan dengan menambahkan deteksi wajah manusia di dalam sistemnya, yang mana proses memindai dan mendeteksi akan berjalan secara bersamaan di satu sistem. Tanpa deteksi wajah maka sistem tidak bisa bekerja. Metode penelitian yang dipakai adalah jenis research and development (R&D). Sistem yang dihasilkan terdiri dari server penghasil gambar QR Code dan sistem pemindai dengan dua webcam. Fungsi server adalah untuk mendaftarkan informasi yang akan disimpan ke gambar QR Code. Untuk akses ke server menggunakan browser, sedangkan pada sistem pemindai menggunakan aplikasi yang dibuat dengan bahasa pemrograman Processing. Antara server dan sistem pemindai terkoneksi secara otomatis ketika mengekstrak informasi yang ada pada gambar QR Code. Jarak baca agar sistem pemindai bekerja adalah antara 10 cm sampai dengan 55 cm.

Abstract

OpenCV (Open Source Computer Vision Library) is a software library intended for real-time dynamic image processing, created by Intel. In this study, the library will be used to detect the face, nose and mouth. Furthermore, the system is equipped with the knowledge that if the mouth and nose or one of them is detected, then the face has not used the mask correctly and the system records the face. The system is supported by an image capture device in the form of a camcorder, a processing device in the form of a single board computer, such as a Raspberry Pi and a display device in the form of a monitor. And the result is that the system is able to make a decision whether the face is wearing a mask correctly or not. By means of labeling around the face in the form of red angular lines, if not properly use the mask. The success rate is 88.4% using detector parameters, namely: scale factor = 1.1 for all face, nose and mouth object libraries.

Abstract

Kartu identitas yang sudah dilengkapi radio frequency identity (RFID) dapat dijadikan alat pendukung sistem kehadiran. Sistem ini terdiri dari unit baca dan unit server. Unit baca bertugas untuk membaca UID dari kartu RFID untuk dikirimkan ke unit server agar diproses dan saat itu juga hasil prosesnya berupa nama pemilik kartu, waktu hadirnya dan mata kuliahnya dikirim kembali ke unit baca agar si pemilik kartu mengetahui bahwa sudah hadir. Unit baca terdiri dari modul RFID, modul mikrokontroler dan modul ethernet. Sedangkan pada unit server menggunakan komputer dengan memasang aplikasi Apache sebagai webservernya, MySQL sebagai databasenya dan PHP sebagai skrip program webnya. Koneksi antara unit baca dengan unit server menggunakan kabel UTP. Pengujian yang dilakukan adalah waktu respon unit baca saat terkoneksi ke unit server melalui perangkat jaringan berupa switch, dan router. Selain itu pengujian waktu respon saat unit baca tidak terkoneksi ke unit server. Hasil yang didapat adalah waktu respon rata-rata saat unit baca terkoneksi sebesar 3,92 detik, sedangkan waktu respon rata-rata unit baca saat tidak terkoneksi sebesar 15,76 detik.

Abstract

Salah satu sistem komunikasi antara komputer dengan mikrokontroler adalah komunikasi serial jenis RS232. Komunikasi jenis ini dibahas dalam matakuliah Interfacing pada program studi Teknik Komputer Jurusan Teknik Komputer dan Informatika Politeknik Negeri Medan. Selama ini proses belajar mengajarnya hanya menggunakan aplikasi simulasi yang dipasang di komputer.  Kelemahan dengan simulasi ini adalah peserta didik tidak mengetahui proses yang sebenarnya terjadi, mulai dari persiapan perangkat keras yang diperlukan, perakitan dan penggunaanya.  Berangkat dari kendala tersebut peneliti membuat modul pembelajaran berupa trainer dan jobsheetnya yang terdiri dari dua percobaan dasar.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research and Development.Metode ini menggunakan tahapan yang telah diringkas kemudian dikelompokkan menjadi 3 fase besar sehingga variabel, model, dan hasil tiap tahapan diketahui 3 fase besar.Setelah trainer beserta modul tersebut dibuat maka diujicobakan ke peserta didik untuk mengetahui umpan baliknya.Umpan balik yang diberikan dalam bentuk kuesioner. Setelah itu hasil kuesioner diolah dan didapatlah total rata-rata hasil rating adalah 70,10%. Dan menurut skala likert nilai tersebut tergolong layak  Kata kunci : komunikasi RS232, mikrokontroler, interfacing, trainer.

Abstract

Measurement of soil moisture commonly by applying the soil moisture sensors is to measure the condition of the ground around which is relatively not wide. Therefore if applied for the large-scale, repeated measurements are required in accordance with the determined point. As a result it takes time to get the whole results. With the existence of wireless sensor technology then this problem can be overcome. This wireless sensor system will create a network consisting of nodes and server. In this study the server part is a server computer that requires a web server application together with its script to display and store data, while the node part is the data reader system. In the data system reader module, the sensor device is required as the input that is SEN0114, the processor is a microcontroller, while the wireless uses Wi-Fi module that is ESP8266. Wi-Fi topology used later is infrastructure (using access points). In this research, it begins by testing the sensor and then testing the data validation between the node and the server. SEN0114 sensor has different value from the American Standard Method (ASM) that is 0.922%. While the data validation test of the measurement result is Wi-Fi ESP8266 module which has a maximum distance of 14 meters toward the access points.

Abstract

Open loop shaped control system is a form of system control without any feedback from the system. One example is the on-off condition which functions to connect and disconnect electricity. The condition to be studied is a dc motor that can be set to live and die via internet server-based client service. The server in this system is a virtual private server (VPS) device that will provide a source of service to the client in the form of a collection of information on dc motor conditions. In addition, its function is also to record the working time of the dc motor. So that a schedule can be determined when the dc motor is maintained. While the client is a control unit consisting of a microcontroller device, an ethernet module enc28j60 and a dc motor. In general the working principle of the system is beginning with the user accessing the desired VPS IP address through a web browser application. From the web browser the user chooses a dc motor to be activated. But before the client has been connected to the VPS regularly (every second), the point is to always get the latest dc motor condition information. Then the microcontroller will set the dc motor in active or off condition. The research method used is research and development. The results obtained from this study are that the amount of bandwidth needed for communication between VPS and microcontrollers via the internet network, when the control unit works is 6.02 kbps, while the response time for dc motor is 3.16 seconds and the response time for dc motor 2 is 3.46 seconds.
