Abstract

Video conference merupakan layanan yang dapat mempertemukan dua pihak atau lebih dengan memanfaatkan jaringan internet broadband. Banyak manfaat yang dapat dirasakan melalui layanan ini. Salah satunya adalah dapat melakukan diskusi ataupun rapat tanpa pertemuan secara langsung. Dengan begitu waktu yang digunakan akan lebih efisien karena dapat dilakukan kapan saja dan dimana saja. Pada video conference itu sendiri terdapat dua teknik untuk terhubung dengan layanan ini yaitu point to point atau sering disebut video chatting dan multipoint atau disebut dengan video call group. Adapun untuk melakukan video conference ini, dibutuhkan jaringan internet yang memiliki konektifitas yang tinggi dan jaringan yang stabil. Parameter Quality of Service (QoS) dapat dimanfaatkan untuk mengetahui apakah jaringan tersebut sudah layak untuk melakukan video conference. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengaplikasian jaringan 4G LTE untuk melakukan video conference di area perpustakaan Universitas Budi Luhur dan dilakukan perbandingan kinerja antara waktu pagi, siang, dan malam hari. Selanjutnya disimulasikan dan diuji performansinya pada layanan Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) berupa download file serta Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP) berupa video conference dengan pencarian QoS berupa parameter delay, jitter, packet loss, dan throughput. Dalam hasil simulasi serta analisis dengan menggunakan GNS3 (Graphic Network Simulator3) dan wireshark didapat bahwa berdasarkan pada pengujian performansi jaringan 4G LTE pada waktu siang hari lebih baik dari pada waktu pagi dan malam hari ketika melakukan pengiriman paket TCP dan RTP.

Abstract

In this research, an IoT-based Smart Office network simulation has been built which consists of Smart Devices such as automatic doors, CCTV cameras, Fire Sprinkles, Solar Panels, automatic lights and Air Conditioners (AC). Each Smart Device has Conditions that function as automation which aims to minimize the interaction between the user and the device directly. Smart Devices can be accessed and monitored using Laptops in the office and Smartphones in different locations. The testing method in this study uses the Ping Test method and data analysis refers to the TIPHON standard for the Delay and Packet Loss parameters. The simulation was carried out using Cisco Packet Tracer software version 7.3.1. The results obtained indicate that the Smart Device can be simulated according to the predetermined conditions. The results of the connection test on the Smart Office network show that the delay with the highest value is found on the RFID Reader device at 06:00 – 08:00 WIB and the Motion Detector device at 14:00-16:00 WIB. Both devices scored 47.2ms. The delay with the lowest value is found on the AC Office device at 06:00-08:00 WIB with a value of 24.2ms. This value is in the Very Good category with an Index value of 4. The results of the connection test on the Smart Office network for the Packet Loss parameter show that all Smart Devices get a value of 0% in each test time. This value is included in the Very Good category with an Index value of 4.

Abstract

There are still many uses of transportation means to move goods manually, even though there are many shortcomings in it. One of the drawbacks is that the push button must be continuously pressed by the operator until it reaches the desired place, this of course will take a lot of time and full concentration from the operator himself. In this final project, a prototype design of an Arduino Uno based automatic metal conveyance is designed to be able to move goods automatically. The design of the prototype for automatic metal conveyance based on Arduino Uno uses the infrared avoid obstacle sensor as object detection, DC motor as the main driver for moving goods, and uses LD micro software. The working method of the prototype design for this automatic metal transportation device based on Arduino Uno is when the automatic switch is turned on, the DC motor 1 works to transport the drum containing metal vertically (up and down) to the infrared avoid obstacle sensor, then the DC motor 2 will work horizontally (forward -back) heading to tubs 1, 2, and 3 to move metal automatically. Based on the test results that have been carried out, the design of the prototype automatic transportation tool based on Arduino Uno has a difference in the duration of time to transport metal with different loads, namely, if without load the time needed to transport goods is 94 seconds, with a load of 36.5 grams is 101 seconds. , and with a load of 111.1 is 103 seconds, with a time difference from no load to a load of 111.1 grams is 9 seconds.

Abstract

ABSTRAKEnergi baru dan terbarukan merupakan solusi dari persediaan energi konvensional yang semakin menipis. Salah satu hal utama yang diperlukan dalam pemanfaatan energi baru dan terbarukan adalah kesiapan sumber daya manusia. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan mengenai energi baru dan terbarukan dan cara kerja solar home system sebagai salah satu jenis sistem energi baru dan terbarukan. Mitra dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah warga RT 01, RW 08, Puri Kartika, Kecamatan Ciledug, Kota Tangerang. Setelah mengikuti kegiatan sosialisasi energi baru dan terbarukan, sebanyak 90% peserta telah memahami tentang energi alternatif dan cara kerja solar home system. Kata kunci: energi baru dan terbarukan; solar home system; sosialisasi; pengabdian kepada masyarakat ABSTRACTRenewable energy is a solution to the depleting conventional energy supply. One of the main things needed in the utilization of renewable energy is the readiness of human resources. Abstract

Renewable energy is energy that comes from natural elements and its availability will not run out because it is formed from sustainable natural processes. Renewable energy is an alternative energy to replace fossil energy because it is environmentally friendly and does not produce carbon emissions. Renewable energy sources come from sunlight, wind, water flow, geothermal, etc. One of the renewable energy potentials in Indonesia is wind energy with a total potential of 60.6 GW. Utilization of wind energy can be done by using wind turbines and windbelts to convert wind energy into electrical energy. Windbelt is a device consisting of a permanent magnet, coil and tape to produce electrical energy. When the oscillating band is blown by the wind, the magnet produces a change in magnetic flux, then the magnetic flux captured by the coil produces induced emf at both ends of the coil. In order for the power generated by the windbelt to remain at its maximum point even though the wind speed fluctuates, a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) system is needed. Therefore, in this study, an MPPT system was designed using the Perturb & Observe (P&O) algorithm by controlling the length and tension of the band based on the windbelt output voltage. The optimal voltage generated by the windbelt is 8.93 Volts without using the MPPT system, while when using the MPPT system the optimal voltage is 5.05 Volts. In testing the MPPT system using a load (condition 2), the output voltage has decreased drastically because the current generated by the windbelt is so small that it cannot pass through the load.

Abstract

Kehidupan modern saat ini telah sepenuhnya berhubungan dengan energi listrik. Tetapi masih banyak pengguna/konsumen listrik yang masih awam dengan hal yang satu ini. Tindakan nyata Universitas Budi Luhur khususnya Fakultas Teknik secara terstruktur lewat institusi, secara rutin melakukan aplikasi IPTEK yang langsung menyentuh masyarakat namun masih belum terasakan secara signifikan. Berbagai permasalahan yang dihadapi masyarakat tampaknya ada yang luput dari perhatian Fakultas Teknik. Masyarakat luas sangat berharap Fakultas Teknik dapat berkiprah lebih banyak dalam memecahkan berbagai permasalahan yang ada di masyarakat. Dengan berkembangnya teknologi yang semakin modern, listrik mempunyai peran yang sangat penting dalam kehidupan maupun dunia industri. Melihat kondisi masyarakat yang masih belum paham betul mengenai cara menghitung KWH Meter ini dan cara menghemat energy pemakaian listrik, maka perlu adanya suatu sosialisasi yang dapat membuka jendela wawasan masyarakat agar dapat lebih mengetahui dalam penggunaan listrik sehari hari. Oleh karena itu dilakukan “Penyuluhan Teknik Penggunaan Listrik Hemat Energi dan Cara Menghitung Tagihan Listrik dari KWH Meter” yang dapat membekali masyarakat dalam penggunaan listrik dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPersoalan lingkungan yang selalu menjadi permasalahan di hampir seluruh wilayah adalah bagaimana mengelola sampah dengan baik. Hingga saat ini, pengelolaan sampah masih terbilang klasik, salah bentuknya yaitu membuat tempat pembuangan akhir (TPA) sampah di setiap wilayah RW. Banyak kajian yang menjelaskan bahwa TPA pada akhirnya terjadinya penumpukan sampah yang semakin menggunung sehingga pada akhirnya berdampak kepada polusi udara bagi sekitar lingkungan TPA tersebut. Permaslahan yang terjadi adalah Kebiasaan masyarakat yang gemar membuang sampah di saluran drainase juga membuat masalah persampahan ini menjadi perhatian. Sampah perlu penanganan yang baik sehingga dapat meminimalkan dampak buruknya. Pendekatan dapat dilakukan dalam pengelolaan sampah dengan melibatkan peran aktif masyarakat dalam lingkungan yaitu pengadaan pengelolaan sampah berbasis masyarakat melalui program yang dikenal dengan teknik 3R (reuse, reduce, recycle). Berdasarkan hasil observasi di lingkungan Kelurahan Kebon Baru, Tebet, Jakarta Selatan dapat disimpulkan bahwa masih kurang optimalnya pengelolaan sampah di wilayah tersebut, masih ditemukannya sampah-sampah yang bertumpuk di pinggir jalan tanpa adanya pemilahan sampah, masih terdapatnya beberapa masyarakat yang membuang sampah di Kali Ciliwung yang menjadi penyebabnya banjir Jakarta. Salah satu solusi untuk permasalahan sampah yaitu dengan adanya kegiatan yang dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat akan sampah dan cara pengelolaannya, yaitu melalui kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat yang berjudul “Pemberdayaan Masyarakat untuk Meningkatkan Kesadaran Masyarakat dalam Mengelola Sampah di Kelurahan Kebon Baru, Tebet, Jakarta Selatan. Metode dari kegiatan ini yaitu dengan menggunakan konsep Tri-Daya; konsep sosial yaitu mengajak masyarakat melalui kegiatan pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam mengolah sampah, konsep lingkungan yaitu dengan melakukan identifikasi terhadap sampah di lingkungan dan konsep ekonomi yaitu pembuatan eco enzyme yang dapat meningkatkan nilai ekonomi masyarakat sekitar. Hasil dari kegiatan ini berupa penyuluhan dan pemberian materi terkait pengolahan sampah yang dilanjutkan dengan workshop pengolahan sampah yaitu praktek membuat eco enzyme dari bahan sisa sayuran dan kulit buah-buahan. Dengan demikian dapat menambah pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai pengolahan sampah dan meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat dalam memperlakukan sampah serta membuang sampah pada tempatnya. Kata kunci: pemberdayaan; masyarakat; pengelolaan; sampah; eco enzyme. ABSTRACTThe environmental problem that has always been a problem in almost all regions is how to manage waste properly. Until now, waste management is still a classic, one form of which is to make a final disposal site (TPA) for waste in each RW area. There are many studies that explain that in the end of the landfill, the accumulation of waste is increasingly mounting so that in the end it has an impact on air pollution for the surrounding environment of the landfill. The problem that occurs is the habit of people who like to throw garbage in drainage channels also makes this waste problem a concern. Garbage needs to be handled properly so that it can minimize its bad impact. The approach can be taken in waste management by involving the active role of the community in the environment, namely the provision of community-based waste management through a program known as the 3R technique (reuse, reduce, recycle). Based on the results of observations in the Kebon Baru Village, Tebet, South Jakarta, it can be concluded that waste management is still not optimal in the area, garbage is still found piled up on the roadside without any sorting of waste, there are still some people who throw garbage in Ciliwung River. which is the cause of the Jakarta flood. One solution to the waste problem is through activities that can increase public awareness of waste and how to manage it, namely through Community Service activities entitled "Community Empowerment to Increase Public Awareness in Managing Waste in Kebon Baru Village, Tebet, South Jakarta. The method of this activity is to use the concept of Tri-Power; the social concept is to invite the community through community empowerment activities in processing waste, the environmental concept is to identify waste in the environment and the economic concept is the manufacture of eco enzymes that can increase the economic value of the surrounding community. The results of this activity are in the form of counseling and providing materials related to waste processing, followed by a workshop on waste management, namely the practice of making eco enzymes from vegetable waste and fruit peels. Thus, it can increase public knowledge about waste management and increase public awareness in treating waste and disposing of waste in its place. Keywords: empowerment; community; management; waste; eco enzyme.

Abstract

Neutralizing household wastewater into clean water is currently one way to reduce groundwater use. In this final project, a neutralization system will be designed for residential wastewater into clean water. This system consists of, water level sensor, water ph sensor, microcontroller, pump, . Wastewater from each house is channeled into a holding tank. If the waste water reservoir is full and the clean water reservoir is empty, the wastewater from the reservoir is channeled into a water treatment tank to be processed into clean water with a pH value of 7 to 9. achieved. Meanwhile, if the waste water reservoir is full and the clean water reservoir is also full, the clean water can be channeled for the needs of the residents or flowed into the river. With this concept, residents' need for clean water from ground water can be reduced and the water discharged into the river is also clean water that does not pollute the river. The energy source for power supply to the system comes from solar energy which is stored using batteries. The process of neutralizing wastewater with injection / addition of aluminum sulfate / alum (Al2OH) and aluminum chloride (PAC) as much as 9 mL is able to raise the pH from 4.3 to 7.81 so the results have met the water quality standard.

Abstract

Chili plants really need to be considered both in terms of planting or watering, but they really need a place that has good soil levels and an ambient temperature that is not too hot or cold. If these plants can be watered automatically, it is likely that the quality of the plants will be good and will get good results. This study aims to design an automatic watering device that will be monitored remotely so that soil moisture is maintained. Where this final project has designed an automatic watering device and keeps the temperature inside the Green House automatically based on IoT and a monitoring system based on several prototypes controlled by Arduino mega2560 and NodeMCU ESP8266 as a data sending tool and connecting to Thinger.io which functions to display data, the pump will active to water the plants when the sensor value reading is above or more than 70% and the pump will stop when the sensor reading value is below or more than 50%, then the fan will turn on when the temperature value inside the green house is more than 28 degrees Celsius and the fan will turn off when the temperature value inside the green house is less than 28 degrees Celsius. The Soil Mousture sensor functions as a reader of the humidity value in chili plants and the DHT11 sensor as a reader of the temperature value in the Green House. Based on the TIPHON standard, QoS testing of monitoring system communications is included in the good category, for throughput testing the index value is 4, packet loss index value is 4, delay index value is 1, and jitter index value is 1.

Abstract

Femtocell has been considered as an important technology to increase the cellular system capacity by bringing the base station closer to the user and shrinking the cell dimension. Basically, femtocell networks are deployed in indoor environment such as an office. Thus, femtocell placement problems are one of the important issues in planning the wireless networks, since the manual planning processes are not efficient. In this paper, the solution of femtocell placement problem in an indoor environment is solved by bat algorithm. Selecting the best position of the femtocell is the main objective so the capacity can be maximized. In a 100 trial study, the SNR can be optimized up to 34.89 dB. In conclusion, the bat algorithm is able to improve the SNR efficiently and effectively.
