Abstract

One of the main tasks of Computer Science Faculty of Sriwijaya University (Fasilkom Unsri) as one of the higher education institution is the academic management. Academic process in Fasilkom Unsri still emphasizes the use of word processing and spreadsheet applications that can result in delays and redundancy on the processing of data for syllabus, units lecture event, teachers’ attendance, and class schedules reports. The absence of a specialized system that monitors the lecture materials directly can also result in decision making process by the top-level-management becomes less optimal to improve the quality of higher education in the academic field. Development of Course Management Information Systems is an effort to facilitate the top-level-management (Dean, Assistant Dean) in business management and evaluation of the overall college process that has occurred in order to improve the quality of higher education in the academic field using computer-based systems. This study emphasizes the process of developing course management information systems at Fasilkom Unsri, particularly in systems analysis phase. The methodology used is the Framework for the Application of Systems Thinking (FAST). In this methodology there are some systems analysis processes, namely the scope definition, problem analysis, requirements analysis, logical design and decision analysis. This study produced a proposed system and application architecture of management information systems courses in Fasilkom Unsri.   Keywords: course management information system, user interface, Framework for the Application of Systems Thinking (FAST), system analysis

Abstract

Universitas Sriwijaya’s Library currently manages digital documents where the information displayed is still not comprehensive. Therefore, a large data storage area is needed which is able to present the information quickly. So that it can produce more maximum information in the Universitas Sriwijaya library by building a data warehouse. The design of the data warehouse focuses on presenting the final project documents of Universitas Sriwijaya. The method used in designing a data warehouse is Kimball's Nine-Step Methodology. This method is able to present data in accordance with the information needs of digital document data and  final project. Based on the Star Schema data model and data analysis using OLAP, the data warehouse is able to integrate data which makes it easier to access various information very quickly and precisely. The implementation of data warehouse hoped that it can be a solution to monitor academic activities of digital documents and the final project documents of Universitas Sriwijaya

Abstract

Ransomware is one type of Malware that is very dangerous. The way Ransomware works is to infiltrate and then be able to duplicate files that run on the Windows operating system. Ransomware encrypts and locks onto a file system very quickly. Ransomware will give a notice by telling how to open the file system by making a payment via cryptocurrency. Ransomware is very detrimental to users. One type is Ransomware Locker. Ransomware locker is very dangerous, therefore it is necessary to make a prediction model about Ransomware Locker attacks. Several Machine Learning methods are able to solve prediction system problems, one of which is the Support Vector Machine (SVM) method. To get the best model in prediction, it is necessary to do a comparison between two SVM kernels namely RBF and Linear. As a result, the SVM RBF method was able to produce excellent performance, namely 93.27% for AUC Train and 93.41 for AUC Test

Abstract

Abstract

Indonesia is ranked 77th in the world in electronic-based government systems, especially the City of Plembang is ranked 89th regarding the evaluation of smart city improvement in Indonesia. One of the latest applications used in the past year is the SIDEMANG application, which is an information system that has the use and purpose of facilitating access to administrative services related to personal and agency licensing files online at the village and sub-district levels in Palembang city, but this is also not free from obstacles, especially internet signals. Therefore, an analysis is needed related to the implementation of Information Systems, to assess the success of applications that have been implemented, especially government digital services. DeLone and McLean Information System Success Model is used, to see the significant factors that cause the success of Information System implementation. The data analysis method used in this research is quantitative because the data collected is in the form of numbers and will be analyzed using the SmartPLS application statistical technique, using a sample size of 97 respondents. The results showed that the information quality factor was not significant to the intention or use of the application, the system quality factor was not significant to the intention or use of the application, the system quality factor was not significant to user satisfaction, the service quality factor was not significant to user satisfaction. Recommendations for the Palembang City Communication and Information Office are related to the evaluation and improvement of the SIDEMANG application using the DeLone and McLean Model analysis. In particular, improvements to the quality of information that can influence citizens to use the application, improvements to the quality of the system that can invite and satisfy users in using the application, and improvements to service quality factors on citizen satisfaction.
