Abstract

Cucumber plants spread and can live in tropical climates like Indonesia. The cucumber plant has many benefits and can be a beauty ingredient. Cucumbers, like other plants, can also have disease attacks, which can threaten farmers. This expert system can help farmers discover diseases that attack cucumber plants and how to control them. The certainty Factor is a method used to measure the certainty of facts to describe an expert's confidence in facing a problem. Forward Chaining is an approach method monitored by data starting from information in the form of facts and supported by rules to reach conclusions. Implementing an expert system for diagnosing cucumber diseases using certainty factor and forward chaining methods will make it easier for farmers and the public to cultivate cucumber plants and get good results. Applying the forward chaining method and factor certainty in this expert system can produce an accuracy level of 95.918%.

Abstract

Graphic design is a fine art often encountered in various activities on the street and in public spaces. Graphic design can be used for various purposes, such as making pamphlets, posters, brochures and other promotional media. As an extracurricular organization, the English Tadris Study Program Student Association (HMPS) Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, State Islamic University (UIN) Salatiga often holds events that must be published visually with graphic design. However, there needs to be more knowledge about graphic design. HPMS TBI members are still limited to the Medkominfo division only, so it is necessary to provide Graphic Design Training (PGD) using the Canva application to all members. The aim of this activity is for administrators to have graphic design skills so they can create more exciting and high-quality event documentation. The method used in this community service program is divided into four stages, starting from analyzing partner problems by observing and interviewing by coming directly to the location with the head of the HMPS TBI UIN Salatiga organization, creating training modules, delivering material and direct practice, and evaluate activities using questionnaires. The results of this program succeeded in improving the graphic design skills of the participants, especially members of HMPS TBI. HMPS TBI members can now significantly contribute more to documentation and promotional activities on campus and in the surrounding community. They can create more professional promotional materials.

Abstract

Aktivitas pengunjung sebuah website akan tersimpan di server pada file yang bernama access log. Access log menyimpan berbagai informasi penting seperti IP address pengunjung sampai user agent yang digunakan (browser, sistem operasi, dan sebagainya). Untuk mendapatkan file access log setidaknya harus memiliki akses ke server sehingga file tersebut dapat diambil kemudian dianalisis. Pada penelitian ini, dibuat sebuah sistem yang digunakan sebagai alat untuk membuat file access log secara otomatis dan dirancang mirip seperti format file access log yang ada pada server. Selain sebagi alat untuk membuat file access log, sistem ini juga dirancang untuk melakukan analisis informasi terhadap file access log tersebut dengan menyajikannya dalam bentuk visualisasi. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengembangkan sistem ini adalah metode pengembangan Rapid Application Development (RAD). Metode RAD dipilih salah satunya karena siklus pengembangan yang relatif lebih cepat dan singkat tetapi tetap dapat menghasilkan kualitas sistem yang baik. Untuk pengujian terhadap sistem dilakukan beberapa skenario yaitu membuat file temporary access log dengan 1000 baris log yang menghasilkan waktu rata-rata 0,791 detik, proses insert data ke database yang bersumber dari file temporary access log menghasilkan waktu rata-rata 0,271 detik, dan skenario terakhir yaitu membuat log on the fly kemudian langsung insert data ke database menghasilkan waktu rata-rata 4,833 detik. Sehingga dari hasil pengujian tersebut didapatkan skenario yang efektif dan tidak membebani sistem terutama bagian database yaitu membuat file temporary access log terlebih dahulu kemudian insert data ke database yang bersumber dari file temporary access log.

Abstract

Information and communication technology that’s developing is one of the main triggers of the information explosion today. Nowadays, various news content is not only easy to obtain but also easy to produce through various platforms on the internet, including popular online media, such as blogs and websites. So a lot of news content on blogs and websites that are currently being circulated leads to fake news content (hoaxes) that can mislead the perception and thoughts of the readers. Therefore, it is important to develop a system that can detect the presence of fake news content to minimize the losses caused by the presence of fake news content. In this study, the Naive Bayes algorithm is proposed as a machine learning model that will be used to detect fake news content in Indonesian language online media. As a result, the global accuracy value reached 71% with recall, precision, and F1-Score values as a whole above 70% which indicates that the proposed model can detect fake news content quite well.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi yang semakin pesat membawa perubahan yang signifikan bagi personal maupun organisasi. Hal tersebut juga berlaku pada Organisasi Resimen Mahasiswa (Menwa) IAIN Salatiga, terutama untuk menyebarkan informasi kepada khalayak umum. Website menjadi salah satu teknologi yang dapat membantu menyebarkan dan berbagi informasi secara cepat dan mudah. Sayangnya, Sebagian besar anggota menwa IAIN bukan berasal dari bidang ilmu komputer sehingga awam terhadap proses pembuatan dan pengelolaan website. Disisi lain, adanya kemauan yang kuat untuk belajar perlu didukung melalui proses pelatihan dan pendampingan oleh tenaga ahli sehingga pengelolaan website nantinya dapat dilakukan oleh anggota Menwa secara mandiri. Selain itu, dengan adanya proses pelatihan serta pendampingan dalam pembuatan dan pengelolaan website diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat bagi organisasi serta dapat meningkatkan skill dan wawasan IT bagi anggota organisasi tersebut

Abstract

Fish cultivation technology combined with agriculture is developing rapidly, and many suitable systems have emerged to combine planting media and fish cultivation, one of which is viticulture planting media where this agricultural cultivation system is carried out vertically or in stages in indoor and outdoor scopes. Some processes are still carried out manually, namely watering plants, checking water PH, feeding fish, checking water temperature in ponds, and controlling soil moisture levels, this is done manually. Therefore,. This system is made automated based on IoT (internet of things) is needed to overcome some of these problems by utilizing NodeMCu as a microcontroller which will be connected to soil moisture sensors, temperature sensors, PH meters, DC motors, control and monitoring of watering plants, fish feeding, water condition of water can be done automatically. Smart fish Farm cultivating tilapia and iot (internet of things) based verticulture plants can display appropriate data via a mobile application that can be viewed by the user, starting from the soil moisture level displaying the results of pH levels from 1 to 10 pH levels and displaying pond temperature fish from vulnerable 15 to 32 degrees Celsius and mobile applications can control the fish feed system. Abstract

Unbalanced conditions in the dataset often become a real-world problem, especially in machine learning. Class imbalance in the dataset is a condition where the number of minority classes is much smaller than the majority class, or the number is insufficient. Machine learning models tend to recognize patterns in the majority class more than in the minority class. This problem is one of the most critical challenges in machine learning research, so several methods have been developed to overcome it. However, most of these methods only focus on binary datasets, so few methods still focus on multiclass datasets. Handling unbalanced multiclass is more complex than handling unbalanced binary because it involves more classes than binary class datasets. With these problems, we need an algorithm with features that can support adjustments to the difficulties that arise in multiclass unbalanced datasets. One of the algorithms that have features for adjustment is the ensemble algorithm, namely Xtreme Gradient Boosting. Based on the research, our proposed method with Xtreme Gradient Boosting showed better results than the other classification and ensemble algorithms on eight datasets with five evaluation metrics indicators such as balanced accuracy, the geometric-mean, multiclass area under the curve, true positive rate, and true negative rate. In future research, we suggest combining methods at the data level and Xtreme Gradient Boosting. With the performance increase in Xtreme Gradient Boosting, it can be a solution and reference in the case of handling multiclass imbalanced problems. Besides, we also recommended testing with datasets in the form of categorical and continuous data.
