Abstract

Discussion related to nationalism has become an essential topic in the field of Indonesian education, particularly in the context of education in the border area. This study reported on the condition of educational services, and explored the meaning and experience of nationalism from Indonesian migrant workers' (IMW's) children at the community learning center (CLC) Sarawak, Indonesia-Malaysia border area. The study employed qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach, intended to produce in-depth data on the meaning and experience of nationalism from IMW's children attending CLC Sarawak, Malaysia. The data collected in this study used the main data through exhaustive interviews and observation, while additional data was collected through documentation. The results showed that CLC has made the optimal efforts in growing IMW's children nationalism in border areas, included: i) Implementing educational curriculum in accordance with curriculum standards in Indonesia; ii) Implement programs that can increase IMW's children nationalism; and iii) Improve access and quality education services for IMW's children in border areas. Furthermore, IMW's children interpret nationalism as a feeling of love, pride, and willingness to sacrifice for the nation and country with all their heart. The meaning of nationalism is constructed through various children’s experiences obtained in the school environment, family environment, and socio-cultural conditions in the community. The results and discussions reported in this study can serve as a reference and guideline for the Indonesian government to formulate and prioritize educational designs or policies for Indonesian migrant workers in border areas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami pendayagunaan modal sosial dalam pendidikan kewirausahaan masyarakat dalam upaya memberdayakan masyarakat. Sebagaimana diketahui, keberhasilan penyelenggaraan pendidikan kewirausahaan ditentukan oleh keberfungsian modal sosial yang didayagunakan oleh kelompok sasaran. Modal sosial dipandang sebagai sesuatu yang produktif untuk keberhasilan pengelolan usaha wirausaha. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus (case study). Unit analisis yang dikaji adalah pendidikan kewirausahaan masyarakat yang diwujudkan dalam bentuk program pendidikan desa vokasi yang terdiri dari satu PKuM rintisan dan dua PKuM imbas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendayagunaan modal sosial yang mencakup pemanfaatan nilai, norma, dan komitmen positif, pengembangan kepercayaan, pengembangan jejaring wirausaha, dan pengelolaan informasi dan komunikasi dalam upaya menyukseskan usaha wirausaha dilakukan oleh para pelaku wirausaha atau kelompok sasaran dengan tingkat kualitas pendayagunaan yang berbeda-beda. Pendayagunaan modal sosial ini menghasilkan manfaat bagi kelompok sasaran yang mencakup peningkatan jejaring usaha, pengetahuan dan keterampilan, legalitas dan pendanaan. Oleh karenanya, modal sosial sebagai salah satu penentu keberhasilan penyelenggaraan pendidikan kewirausahaan dan/atau pemberdayaan masyarakat perlu dimanfaatkan dan dikembangkan secara berkelanjutan dan akuntabel.

Abstract

Abstract Education budget is assumed to have a strong relationship with quality improvement and opportunity equalization  especially at the basic education level. Therefore, it is necessary to identify an education-financial model that can improve uthe quality and accessibility of education. This research was an  evaluative type of survey, 36 Public Elementary Schools and 18 Private Elementary Schools were included, and 162 respondents were purposively selected to find out the profile of education budget at basic education level and then a model of education budget was explored. The results of this study indicated that most  of public  elementary schools revenue mostly came from the parents and community sources. The biggest portion of expenditure was allocated for teacher salary , and only a small portion was allocated for instrumental activities and for procurement of facilities. The direct and indirect cost paid the parents was bigger than in private schools, and most of which was the direct cost. The unit cost for private school was bigger. This study also found out that  there was relationship between the quality and accessibility  on the one side, and the revenue and expenditure compositions at the school level on the other side. Based on the result of this study, basic policies are needed to decrease the school dependency on government sources, and to increase the community sources for increasing the basic education quality and accessibility. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan manajemen, faktor pendukung, faktor penghambat, dan solusi yang dilakukan pengelola untuk mengatasi penghambat program short courses di Alfabank Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis model interaktif Miles Huberman. Hasil penelitian: (1) Program short courses diselenggarakan guna memenuhi dengan segera kebutuhan tenaga kerja bidang komputer perbankan. Manajemen program short courses terdiri atas tahapan: pengkajian/analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi program short courses. (2) Faktor pendukung: motivasi pengelola, ada job description, kebutuhan masyarakat, lulusan yang diakui, kenyamanan peserta, dan materi kursus relevan. (3) Faktor penghambat: RPP belum lengkap, pelayanan informasi terlambat, gangguan pemadaman listrik, keterbatasan pemakaian kelas, pelaksanaan kursus tidak sesuai jadwal, dan perbedaan daya tangkap peserta kursus. (4) Solusi: membentuk tim penyusun administrasi pembelajaran, menyediakan hotline service, segera bertindak atas keluhan modifikasi hardware, dan pengulangan materi kursus.Kata kunci: manajemen program, program short courses, pendidikan nonformal MANAGEMENT OF SHORT COURSE PROGRAMSAbstractThis studi aims to describe the management, find the supporting, obstacles, and solutions conducted by manager to overcome the obstacles in the management short course programs in Alfabank Yogyakarta. This research is a case study with the qualitative approach. The data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis used the data analysis of Miles Huberman interactive model techniques. The results: (1) The short course programs organized to meet the immediate needs of workers in computer and banking field. The management of the short course programs consists of: needs analysis, design, implementation, and evaluation of the short course programs. (2) The supporting factors: motivation of resourse institution, the clarity of job description, the community needs, the output of Alfabank which is recognized, the comfort of course participants, and the relevant of course materials. (3) The obstacles: lesson plan  which cannot be completed, the delay of information services, the power outages, the limited use of classrooms, the implementation of short courses not according to the schedule, and the different ability of course participants. (4) The solutions: the administration of learning was created by team, the hotline services was prepared, the damage was directly checked and hardware modification by manager, and the course materials was repeated.Keywords: program management, short course programs, nonformal education

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengasuhan ibu yang bekerja terhadap perkembangan sosial anak usia 5-6 tahun di Kabupaten Purbalingga. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif ex post facto. Sampel penelitian ditentukan dengan teknik cluster sampling terdiri atas ibu bekerja yang memiliki anak usia 5-6 tahun di Kabupaten Purbalingga. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan menyebarkan angket kepada 100 sampel penelitian di Kabupaten Purbalingga. Angket terdiri dari dua angket untuk mendapatkan data tentang pengasuhan ibu bekerja dan perkembangan sosial anak usia 5-6 tahun. Validitas instrumen menggunakan validitas konstruk dan validitas isi. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan teknik regresi untuk pengujian hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pengasuhan ibu bekerja dengan perkembangan sosial anak usia 5-6 tahun, =-0,205, p=0,166. Diskusi berdasarkan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan sosial anak tidak hanya di pengaruhi oleh pengasuhan ibu, namun lebih kepada pengasuhan kooperatif dari kedua orang tua.

Abstract

Regulations for a learning activity, both learning activities that are categorized in the core curriculum or supporting curriculum based on the previously determined curriculum by the Ministry of National Education or the Ministry of Religion. Learning management provides a concept in superior learning performance, this is superior because there must be a scope in the learning process, namely teachers, principals, students, and parents to work together in supporting good character learning. This study uses a qualitative description by looking at the field. The researcher collected the data using interviews and observations with the class teacher and some of the students involved. The place of his research is Raudhatul Athfal Wadas Kelir Purwokerto Selatan, in this character learning process using management results through, (1) Orientation of Early Childhood Character Learning, (2) Orientation of Results of Early Childhood Character Learning, (3) Children's Character Learning Tools, ( 4) Children's Character Learning Performance. These four character learning management will be oriented towards an attachment of superior and useful character values to the management of learning in their institutions
