Abstract

Abstract   Non-formal education through life skills education has shown a positive contribution to poverty reduction in rural development efforts, although still requiring efforts to life skills education development. The research was conducted in Kulonprogo, and the District of Gunungkidul, with research and development approach on life skills education programs are being implemented in two districts e.i KWK Rabbits Livestock in Gunungkidul and KWD Hair Dressers in Kulonprogo. The results showed that: life skills education needs assessment in the two target groups were performed using the idea of life skills 4-H shows are not much different conditions, and based on the needs of the development, 4-H life skills education model developed with a focus on experience-based learning. Development of validated models show the results (output) is positive. Therefore, in the context of poverty reduction in 4-H PKH models should be developed more structured and integrative and guarantee all the life skills that are the focus of life skills development efforts to overcome poverty.   *** Pendidikan non-formal melalui pendidikan ketrampilan telah menunjukkan kontribusi positif terhadap penurunan angka kemiskinan dalam pembangunan pedesaaan. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa: estimasi kebutuhan pendidikan ketrampilan di dua kelompok target yang dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan ide tentang life skill 4-H menunjukkan kondisi yang tidak jauh berbeda, model life skill 4-H dikembangkan dengan fokus pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman. Pengembangan model validasi memberikan hasil positif. Abstract

ABSTRAK Artikel ini bertujuan untuk  mendeskripsikan kontribusi Andragogi, pembelajaran mandiri, dan teori modal sosial dalam hubungan antara belajar orang dewasa dan pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) dalam sebuah kelompok usaha mandiri dan pelaksanaan proses kelompok usaha mandiri. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif  kualitatif. Alat yang digunakan untuk  menggumpulkan data yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Adapun tehnik analisis data dilakukan dengan cara  pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. perspektif dari andragogi, pembelajaran individual, teori modal sosial sebagai kontribusi untuk diskusi pada hubungan antara teori belajar orang dewasa dan sumber daya manusia pada kelompok usaha mandiri. Pada teori andragogi dan modal sosial menawarkan kontribusi untuk mengubah tempat kerja tradisional ke dalam lingkungan belajar yang kondusif, menekankan pentingnya jaringan sosial, kemitraan, kolaborasi, interaksi, dan berbagi pengetahuan. Modal sosial menyediakan jaringan hubungan yang bermakna yang membantu mengintegrasikan ke dalam lingkungan kerja sehari-hari belajar.  Hasil proses pengembangan sumber daya manusia pada kelompok usaha mandiri (KUM)  yang diperoleh  pertama perencanaan mulai dari penyadaran dan pembentukan organisasi. Kedua  pelaksanaan  dan pemanfaatan bahan baku lokal. Ketiga  evaluasi. Keempat pendampingan untuk keberlanjutan inovasi program dan kendala yang dialami minimnya alat produksi yang bersumber dari keterbatasan modal dikarenakan keterbatasan dalam mengoptimalkan fungsi kemitraan. Kata Kunci: Andragogi, Teori Modal Sosial, Kelompok Usaha Mandiri ABSTRACT               This article aims to describe the contribution of Andragogy, independent learning, and social capital theory in the relationship between adult learning and the development of Human Resources (HR) in an independent business group and the implementation of an independent business group process. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. The tool used to collect data is observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique is done by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. perspectives from andragogy, individual learning, social capital theory as contributions to discussion on the relationship between adult learning theory and human resources in independent business groups. On andragogy theory and social capital offer contributions to transform traditional workplaces into conducive learning environments, emphasizing the importance of social networks, partnerships, collaboration, interaction and knowledge sharing. Social capital provides a network of meaningful relationships that help integrate into the daily work environment of learning. The results of the process of developing human resources in the independent business group (KUM) obtained first from the awareness and formation of the organization. Both the implementation and utilization of local raw materials. Third evaluation. The four facilitation for the sustainability of program innovations and the constraints experienced by the lack of production tools stemming from limited capital due to limitations in optimizing partnership functions.Keywords: Andragogy, Social Capital Theory, Independent Business Groups

Abstract

Woman empowerment is one important and appropiate action to the area because there is rarely education which focus on build productive skills of woman to using local wisdom to be more useful. This research aims to develop women competence in disaster vulnerable village to understand and manage a local wisdom through vocational life skills education in context of increasing quality of the family and community socio-economy. The research is action research which has steps include issue analyzing, planning, implementation, and evaluation of action. The action is vocational life skills education. Its research subjects are 25 women in Sengir Village, Kalirejo, Kokap, Yogyakarta as target group. They chosen by the local government consideration and the group characteristic such as wifes of people producing coconut essence, who are till productive and motive to develop. Data collected by interview, observation, and questionnair and analyzed by qualitative analysis techniques. The data validity obtained by perseverance of observation, triangulation, and expert validation. The results of study reveal that the target group was able to develop awareness of utilization of the local potential, having attitudes, knowledge and skills of its production, and creating of the joint business. The existence of women's empowerment makes it more productive in economic activities in order to achieve their welfare.

Abstract

21st-century teaching needed in the Package C equality education program because it is the key to developing the critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration (4C) skills of students. These skills are not optimally encouraged for students of the program even though they have to adapt to changing environment. This research intended to reveal the effects of 21st century learning toward development of the 4C skills for the program. The method used was survey through a quantitative approach. The research population numbered 2,268 students in Special Provine of Yogyakarta, Indonsia, all of whom being registered in the Community Learning Activity Center (CLC) or the Learning Activity Center (Sanggar Kegiatan Belajar (SKB)). The research sample was Paket C students selected through a quota sampling technique, numbering 301 students. Data collected by distributing online questionnaires and analyzed using regression analysis by SPSS 24. The study concluded that influence of 21st century learning influences significantly on development of the 4C skills of students in the Paket C equality education program. Therefore, to develop quality of the program, it is needed research plannedly, innovative and sustainable to create and support forming of the 21st century skills for students.

Abstract

Peningkatan kapasitas melalui pemberian keterampilan 4Cs berupaya meningkatkan motivasi wirausaha warga binaan di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas II A Yogyakarta. Bertujuan menguatkan rasa percaya diri dan motivasi wirausaha WBP dengan penguatan keterampilan 4Cs. Kegiatan Pengabdian ini didasari pentingnya keterampilan 4Cs di masa mendatang. Sasaran dari kegiatan ini adalah Warga Binaan Pemasyarakatan pada Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Klas II A Yogyakarta sebanyak 25 orang. Kegiatan capacity buildingjika di lihat dari keikutsertaan dan antusias warga  binaan sangat luar biasa. Hal ini terlihat dari jumlah peserta yang tidak berubah dari awal hingga akhir sebanyak 25 orang dan keterlibatan dalam diskusi dan tanya jawab yang selalu merespon jika ditanya oleh narasumber. Materi yang disampaikan dalam pelatihan terdiri dari kemampuan berpikir kritis, kreativitas, komunikasi, dan kolaborasi. Dengan menggunakan metode permainan, peserta sangat merasakan manfaatnya, dan mereka mengatakan jika nanti sudah selesai menjalankan pembinaannya ingin menerapkannya dalam kehidupan kesehariannya untuk dapat hidup yang lebih baik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami pendayagunaan modal sosial dalam pendidikan kewirausahaan masyarakat dalam upaya memberdayakan masyarakat. Sebagaimana diketahui, keberhasilan penyelenggaraan pendidikan kewirausahaan ditentukan oleh keberfungsian modal sosial yang didayagunakan oleh kelompok sasaran. Modal sosial dipandang sebagai sesuatu yang produktif untuk keberhasilan pengelolan usaha wirausaha. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus (case study). Unit analisis yang dikaji adalah pendidikan kewirausahaan masyarakat yang diwujudkan dalam bentuk program pendidikan desa vokasi yang terdiri dari satu PKuM rintisan dan dua PKuM imbas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendayagunaan modal sosial yang mencakup pemanfaatan nilai, norma, dan komitmen positif, pengembangan kepercayaan, pengembangan jejaring wirausaha, dan pengelolaan informasi dan komunikasi dalam upaya menyukseskan usaha wirausaha dilakukan oleh para pelaku wirausaha atau kelompok sasaran dengan tingkat kualitas pendayagunaan yang berbeda-beda. Pendayagunaan modal sosial ini menghasilkan manfaat bagi kelompok sasaran yang mencakup peningkatan jejaring usaha, pengetahuan dan keterampilan, legalitas dan pendanaan. Oleh karenanya, modal sosial sebagai salah satu penentu keberhasilan penyelenggaraan pendidikan kewirausahaan dan/atau pemberdayaan masyarakat perlu dimanfaatkan dan dikembangkan secara berkelanjutan dan akuntabel.

Abstract

This research aims to develop the literacy skills on the traditional game for tourism village workers through experiential-based training. Traditional game literacy is attitudes, knowledge, and skills in managing traditional games to make it more meaningful for life, sustainable, and keep people away from negative social changes. This research is participatory action research and conducted on 25 workers located in the Yogyakarta batik tourism village. Data collected and analyzed by using qualitative methods. The research results showed that the action of skill development able to the target group realized the importance of traditional game literacy in the context of developing tourism services, having the ability to manage tourism services based on traditional games, and forming traditional game tourism management. Therefore, this skill development needs to be carried out continuously and meaningfully by optimizing the involvement of all parties involved in tourism development.

Abstract

Community resilience to anticipate disaster depends on the possession of social capital that grows in the community. Social capital can produce positive effects, unfortunately, disaster mitigations have been dominated by the development of human capital skills than social capital skills. This study aims to determine the role of social capital in disaster management in the disaster vulnerable communities of the Merapi Mount, taking a case in Girikerto village, Turi Sub-district, Sleman Regency, Special Province of Yogyakarta, Indonesia as one area with high risk of the eruption. Independent interviews and focused group discussions were done involving hamlet heads, village government officials, and members of community disaster organizations; in addition to observation in the village dailylife. The results showed that social capital covering values and norms, commitment, trust, networking and sharing of information or knowledge provides benefits in the form of increased community awareness of disaster, social solidarity, and disaster knowledge of the citizens. Therefore, it is important to held community empowerment using an educational approach that is based on the utilization of social capital directly and planned in disaster vulnerable areas for enlarging the resiliency capacity of community.

Abstract

Management of life skills education programs were intended to give benefits for target groups. Attainment of the benefits of the programs depended on how much participation was realized by the target groups. The present study was aimed at providing information as input for developing the quality of the program. The study was qualitative research involving the programs in Yogyakarta Special Province. The results of study showed that of the eight of the programs analyzed, the mayority of the students were aware of the benefits of the programs, move toward involvement, have both intrinsic or extrinsic motivation, have knowedges mainly in the main competencies, and implement the output of trainning on the field of self-efforts or work with others. The implementation of the ADKAR approch was characterized by two traits, namely: human aspects and non-human aspects. So, as conclusion of the study, it was necessary to implement the ADKAR approach continuously for each stage of the management of the life skills education programs.
