Abstract

Web Pedagogical Content Knowledge (WPACK) is an important competence for pre-service teachers in the educational technology course. However, novice pre-service teachers require the preparation stage to integrate the Web into instruction. The purpose of the study was to develop and to investigate the new instructional model for pre-service teachers in integrating the Web. The Preparation, Isolation, Transformation, Action, Reflection, and Revision (PINTARR) and two other models were implemented in three physics education technology groups with seventy-four participants. The instrument test was constructed to assess the pre-service teachers’ competencies, namely Student analysis, Curriculum organization, Instructional strategy selection, Evaluation, Technological knowledge, and Physics knowledge. The result of MANOVA showed pre-service teachers in PINTARR group outperformed overall the pre-service teachers’ competencies rather than the Multimedia and Web Design Learning group. The results indicated that the Preparation and the Isolation stage were the most important for novice pre-service teachers in improving the competencies.

Abstract

This research is aimed to develop Self Assessment Based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (SSA-HOTS) instrument in learning physics to train student’s higher order thinking Skills. The development model using 4D from Thiagarajan with the subjects of the study was selected by random at high school student of IPA Major. Data collection techniques include test, observation, and questionnaire distribution then analyzed using correlation test. From the result of the research, it is found that the developed instrument is deserve to use, high reliability value, difficulty of problem proportional, and test item sensitive. Correlation assessment between student and teacher on cognitive, psychomotor, and affective aspects on the character of honesty and cooperation each 0.95; 0.83; 0.81; And 0.80 are in the high category. Students also responded positively to this instrument. So it can be concluded that the self assessment instrument based on Higher Order Thinking Skills is deserve to be used to train student higher order thinking skills.

Abstract

This descriptive qualitative study investigates the utilization and challenges associated with audio-visual media in enhancing the motivation of third-grade students at MI Miftahul Ulum Surabaya. Data collection involved observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Findings demonstrate that the use of audio-visual media effectively captures students' attention, increasing their motivation to actively engage in learning and facilitating comprehension of instructional content. However, challenges arise from limited access to necessary tools and the time-consuming preparation process for audio-visual materials. Thus, careful and thorough preparation is essential to ensure the optimal use of audio-visual media, enabling more effective learning experiences for students. Addressing these constraints can contribute to the successful integration of audio-visual resources in educational settings.

Abstract

The fundamental problem in this study is the low ability of children to solve a problem at RA Ananda Surabaya. Before children receive loose part learning at RA Ananda Surabaya, early childhood abilities have not been said to be successful in identifying problems and finding solutions according to their creative ideas. Therefore, researchers apply the loose part learning method at RA Ananda Surabaya so that teachers can plan lessons based on developing higher order thinking skills in children, Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in the independent learning curriculum.This study aims to understand how to apply loose part-based learning to RA Ananda Surabaya children who are still early in implementing the independent learning curriculum to solve a problem with creative ideas. This research includes quantitative description research, its implementation is carried out for 1 week, namely through observation in class learning. In this study the subjects observed were RA Ananda Surabaya children in group A, totaling 9 of them 5 boys and 4 girls. The ability to solve problems in this observation include: (a). children can think critically to solve problems in everyday life (b). arouse curiosity and find a solution to a problem. Data collection techniques are carried out through: (1) observation; (2) interviews; and (3) documentation. Data processing was carried out using percentage techniques and t-test (praired sample t-test). Based on the results of the t test calculation data, the value of tcount ? ttable (7.466 > 1.76131) is obtained. So it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means that there is an influence of loose parts media on children's ability to solve problems in the independent learning curriculum implemented by group A RA Ananda Surabaya, thus it can be concluded that there is a significant influence on children's ability to solve problems by using loose part learning in the independent learning curriculum.

Abstract

Pendidikan Karakter pada Anak Usia Dini merupakan faktor penting dalam menentukan masa depannya. Pengembangan Pendidikan Karakter pada Anak Usia Dini adalah proses pendidikan yang panjang yang harus dimulai sedini mungkin, oleh karena itu masuk dalam lingkup pendidikan anak usia dini. Karena anak-anak gemar bermain maka sering digunakan sebagai pendekatan dalam pendidikan anak usia dini. Permainan tradisional paling mudah dijangkau oleh anak-anak karena mudah didapatkan di lingkungan sekitarnya. Penelitian ini melibatkan 37 subjek berusia 4-6 tahun yang bersekolah di Taman Kanak-kanak, dengan Permainan Dingklik Oglak Aglik sebagai permainan tradisional dipilih untuk memfasilitasi pembelajaran. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini dianalisis dan dihitung dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif-deskriptif berdasarkan rata-rata skor Skala Linkert. Observasi dan dokumentasi digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan Pendidikan Karakter pada Anak Usia Dini melalui permainan tradisional dapat dilakukan, dibuktikan dengan bagaimana anak dapat mengembangkan sikap toleransi, disiplin, pengendalian diri, dan empati setelah diajarkan menggunakan bahasa Inggris sebagai sarana untuk menyampaikan konsep moral dan sikap kepada anak usia dini.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil data penilaian pada raport akhir tahun 2022, nampak bahwa kemampuan motorik halus di TK ROUDLATUL ULUM masih dikatakan kurang berkembang dengan maksimal. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, maka peneliti ingin memberikan kegiatan main dengan memberikan media pembelajaran inovatif yaitu dengan membatik Odheng. Karena dengan kegiatan membatik Odheng diharapkan anak akan tertarik dan menumbuhkan minat anak untuk melakukan kegiatan pengembangan motorik halus. Dari hasil pengamatan dan refleksi yang diperoleh dari pengumpulan data tersebut menunjukkan bahwa dengan kegiatan membatik ikat kepala “Odheng” telah mampu meningkatkan kemampuan motorik halus anak dan telah memenuhi hasil yang diharapkan oleh peneliti. Penerapan kegiatan membatik ikat kepala “Odheng” mampu meningkatkan kemampuan motorik halus pada anak. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari hasil analisis penelitian yang didapatkan bahwa rata-rata tingkat capaian perkembangan kemampuan motorik halus melalui kegiatan kreasi kegiatan membatik ikat kepala “Odheng” pada anak yang sebelumnya hanya pada prasiklus hanya mencapai 30% dari 17 anak. Dari 17 anak yang tuntas hanya 7 anak dan 10 anak tidak tuntas, setelah mendapat pembelajaran dengan kreasi kegiatan membatik ikat kepala “Odheng”, mengalami peningkatan pada Siklus I dengan mencapai hasil sebesar 53%, dengan 8 anak yang tuntas. Dan meningkat lagi setelah mendapat pembelajaran dengan kegiatan membatik ikat kepala “Odheng” pada Siklus II menjadi 94% dengan 14 yang tuntas dari 17 anak.
