Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan bagian integral dalam pembangunan, yang diarahkan dan bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas. Manusia sendiri sebagai subjek dan objeknya dalam pendidikan. Pembelajaran dengan Pendekatan “What Another Way” sebagai pembelajaran yang menitik beratkan pada aktivitas belajar peserta didik kreatif dalam memecahkan suatu masalah matematika dengan menggunakan cara lebih dari satu. Subjek penelitian ini peserta didik kelas VII SMP TPI (Taman Pendidikan Islam) Gedangan, dan tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan (1) kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran (2) ketuntasan belajar peserta didik (3) respon peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa (1) kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik sebelum dikatakan kurang baik dan sesudah pembelajaran dapat dikatakan baik (2) ketuntasan belajar peserta didik mengalami peningkatan (3) peserta didik memberikan respon yang positif terhadap pembelajaran matematika dengan pendekatan “What’s Another Way” dalam mengerjakan soal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan masalah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah: (1) pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif, (2) jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah diskriptif, (3) sumber data dalam penelitian ini berupa data primer yaitu siswa kelas VIII-A (4) instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa pedoman wawancara,dan tes (5) teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah hasil tes dan wawancara (6) prosedur dalam penelitian ini melalui tahap persiapan penelitian mulai mengajukan judul sampai penyampaian surat izin penelitian ke lokasi penelitian dan tahap pelaksanaan penelitian mulai dari penyiapan instrumen penelitian, pengumpulan data, analisis data, hingga penarikan kesimpulan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode Quantum Teaching terhadap hasil belajar matematika pada pokok bahasan bilangan bulat SMP kelas VII Yos Sudarso Sidoarjo. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Untuk mendeskripsikan hasil belajar peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal bilangan bulat setelah diterapkan metode Quantum Teaching. Berdasarkan analisis data menggunakan uji t berpasangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan hasil belajar pre test dan post test menggunakan metode Quantum Teaching dengan nilai H0 ditolak dimana db= 19-1, dan H1 diterima dan thitung 7,750 > ttabel = 2,101.

Abstract

Tense feelings that are present when students solve problems in mathematics are called mathematics anxiety. In the 2013 curriculum students are required to be able to solve HOTS questions, in this case students must have ability to work on mathematic problems namely mathematics ability. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of students' mathematical anxiety classified with the level of mathematical ability of students. The type of this research is a descriptive research with using a quantitative approach. This research was conducted in the 2019/2020 school year at SMP Negeri 1 Tanggulangin in class VII 3. Subjects were determined randomly by distributing HOTS type test questions, then students were given a math anxiety questionnaire. Data analysis in this research includes: observation, data processing, drawing conclusions of students' mathematical abilities and anxiety. The results of this research showed that each level of mathematical ability of students has a tendency to vary indicators of mathematics anxiety when solving HOTS type problems, namely high mathematical ability has low mathematical anxiety, moderate mathematical anxiety has moderate mathematical anxiety, and low mathematical ability has high mathematical anxiety.

Abstract

In the process of learning mathematics, every individual owns its own way of presenting their mathematical ideas in which those ideas are accumulated from the thinking process that are presented in written form of the model of problem solving and solution. Different way of those mathematical ideas is defined as representation.The aim of this research is to describe the representation skills of student by using cognitive style; verbalizer to answer PISA test. This research used descriptive research design for qualitative research method. This research was done at X MIPA 3 SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Tulangan with academic year 2019/2020. In deciding the subjects, this research employs a questionnaire with cognitive styles; visualizer and verbalizer. The result of the questionnaire showed that there are one student for verbalizer as a research subjects. In analyzing the data, there are three steps, namely data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing for students' ability in finishing the PISA test. Based on the result of the test and the interview, verbal representation is the representation that used verbalizer cognitive style’ students

Abstract

Introductory learning style seminars for the effectiveness of child learning assistance community service program in Durung Bedug is aimed to overcome the problems of most parents who have difficulty in assisting children when learning. This activity plan is done in 3 stages. In the first stage, observation is carried out on the program objectives to determine the method of delivering the seminar in accordance with the target condition and situation. In addition, coordination with village officials for administration as well as preparing various things related to activities. In the second phase of the implementation phase, the delivery of materials on learning styles on the target. At the ending stage, follow-up activities are in the form of consultation or follow-up guidance for parents who want to deepen their knowledge about learning style. The results of this activity can be said to be success because of the positive responses of participants during and after the seminar and also the increase of learning outcomes of the participant of the seminar after being given a learning coaching seminar according to the learning style.

Abstract

Teachers must have the skills to write textbooks. Teachers who write textbooks and use its in their learning can help them overcome learning problems. In addition, this textbook can increase teacher credit scores, academic promotion, and have economic value. However, not all teachers are able to write textbooks even to the process of publishing textbooks. Therefore, this community service activity aims to design a strategy through mapping teacher knowledge in writing and publishing textbooks. This activity was attended by teachers in the elementary and junior high schools in Integrated Islamic Education Institute Insan Kamil Sidoarjo. Teachers were given a basic knowledge questionnaire containing 12 statements of understanding about the preparation of textbooks and 2 statements regarding the legality of textbooks. The results of this activity, 1) teachers need to have knowledge in finding relevant references and ideas, 2) knowledge related to the components and flow of making textbooks, 3) understand the flow of publishing to ensure their textbooks can be published legally. Furthermore, the team developed a strategy to provide assistance in writing training seminars and publishing textbooks, includes 1) providing reinforcement of mastery of the material, 2) demonstrations to participants, 3) practice independently, and 4) monitoring.

Abstract

This article discusses the implementation of a workshop to strengthen the literacy Program Sekolah Penggerak (PSP) of primary school teachers in Sidoarjo. PSP is a government initiative to improve the quality of basic education and teacher participation is crucial to the success of the program. The workshop was designed to provide primary school teachers with an in-depth understanding of PSP concepts, objectives and implementation strategies. The method of organizing the workshop began with observation to determine the needs of the target in order to deepen the concept of literacy, then continued with the implementation of workshop activities which included presentations, group discussions, and practical simulations. Next, a questionnaire was administered to determine the interest, perceptions, attitudes and beliefs of participants towards improving literacy after participating in this activity. The evaluation results showed that the increase in teachers' understanding and involvement in PSP after attending the workshop was very positive. The results of the questionnaire on participants' perceptions of literacy improvement showed that 96% of participants had a positive perception of the workshop activities. The literacy strengthening workshop received a positive response from the participants. During the presentation of the material, participants followed with enthusiasm. This community service activity can improve teachers' understanding of literacy concepts and literacy misconceptions. participants were able to identify the potential and challenges in implementing PSP in their schools and develop strategies to improve the effectiveness of the program. With this workshop, it is hoped that the literacy of the PSP program can be improved, have a positive impact on learning at the primary level, and improve the quality of education in Sidoarjo.
