Abstract

Tourism is one of the industries that is growing very rapidly in global market. This condition is due to the changes in consumer behavior that makes traveling as a lifestyle and necessity. Green Open Space is one of the tourist destinations that can be used as an attraction as well as an important aspect in the concept of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As one of the tourist destination cities in Indonesia, Batu City has the potential to develop green open space as an alternative tourism destination. The existence of social media in the tourism industry also cannot be ignored given the perceptions that encourage the intention to visit certain tourist destinations. Thus, this study aims to examine the extent to which social media perceptions can influence tourists' intentions to visit green open tourist destinations in Batu. The data collection method in this study uses a questionnaire distributed online and will be obtained using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM).

Abstract

The objective of this community service is to assist and preserve Batu City's artistic and cultural products. The partner is the Sangga Braja Community, which is particularly concerned in preserving Batu City's arts and culture and already has some basic facilities, but there are issues with branding, public education, and human resources. The aim of this program is to maintain Batu City's artistic and cultural assets so that they can be utilized to their full potential. To address these issues, this service method will emphasize mentoring and training, primarily related to the use of social media as a promotional and educational tool, as well as efficiency and effectiveness in community management, in the form of cultural branding workshops, manufacturing training, social media content, use of social media, photography training, and institutional management. The program's outcomes include soft skills training and social media usage guidelines. The community's eagerness for engaging in numerous current activities ensured that the training and mentorship went smoothly.

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) provides many opportunities in the current business structure. AI is used in various industries with different purposes, including creating engagement with customers. Financial technology (fintech) companies also utilize AI for giving product recommendations or targeted ads based on customers’ algorithms. Thus, this study aims to examine whether the use of AI in social media marketing can encourage consumers’ intention to use the products or services offered by the fintech companies. A total of 121 respondents were involved in this study with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) as the analysis method. The result indicates that performance expectancy, utilitarian motivation and perceived valur co-creation influence the intention to invest.

Abstract

This research aims to explore and describe the motives and experiences of students studying abroad. The respondents were students who studied abroad at their own expense or through scholarship fees. This research uses a qualitative approach by describing data and a quantitative approach using factor analysis. Factor analysis is used to determine factors to consider when studying abroad. The number of respondents was 45 people. The research results show that students' motives for studying abroad are financial, living costs, scholarships, socio-cultural, personal, and administrative.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to determine and analyze talent management, job satisfaction, employee retention and employee performance, the influence of talent management on employee performance, the influence of job satisfaction on employee performance, the influence of talent management on employee retention, the influence of job satisfaction on employee retention, the influence employee retention on employee performance, employee retention can mediate the influence between talent management on employee performance and employee retention can mediate the influence between job satisfaction and employee performance.Design/Methodology/Approarch: The type of research in preparing this thesis is explanatory research with the population, namely, production employees at PT. Polowijo Gosari Gresik, namely 234 employees, with a sample size of 70 respondents. The data analysis technique uses a range of scales and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the partial least squares (PLS) method.Findings:  The research results show that talent management is included in the good criteria, job satisfaction is quite satisfactory, employee retention is good, and employee performance is quite high. Talent management does not affect employee performance, job satisfaction has an effect on employee performance, talent management has no effect on employee retention, job satisfaction has no effect on employee retention, employee retention has an effect on employee performance, employee retention is unable to mediate the effect of talent management on employee performance and employee retention is unable to mediate the influence of job satisfaction on employee performance.

Abstract

Various studies have recognized the importance of the resilience aspect for individuals to be able to rise and overcome all challenges, especially the Covid-19 pandemic. One of the important aspects for individuals to be able to survive is the aspect of balance between personal and work-life balance (WLB). On the other hand, this aspect of WLB is also a determining factor for individual engagement with the organization (work engagement) so that employees can be loyal to the organization. For this reason, this study aims to examine the work-life balance and organizational resilience to work engagement for employees who work from home during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses an explanatory quantitative approach with data collection methods using questionnaires that will be distributed online and processed using Partial Least Square (PLS) using 130 respondents. The results showed a positive and significant effect between the work-life balance on work engagement, work-life balance on organizational resilience, and organizational resilience on work engagement. The results also show the mediating role of organizational resilience on the effect of work-life balance on work engagement.

Abstract

Due to the technology development, the digital payment is becoming more attractive to consumers. This type of payments provides an easy way for consumers to meet their needs. Pay later is currently one of the most attractive digital payments in Indonesia. This system, which is similar to credit card, allows consumers to buy products or services with the possibility to pay them later. This study aims to examine the pay later system and the consequences of applying it in Indonesian market. This study used a qualitative approach using online news content analysis to understand the issue of pay later. The software used in this study is Nvivo plus 12 by utilizing the word similarity, cluster analysis and matrix coding functions. The results show that pay later has a correlation with credit due to the system allows consumers to pay in installments. In addition, this pay later provides a possibility of impulsive buying for consumers. However, this study is limited to analysis based on online news data. It suggests that future studies combine online news with interviews or observation or many others documents to get a more comprehensive result.
