Abstract

Motor bakar merupakan kompetensi dasar yang wajib dikuasai bagi peserta didik jurusan teknik sepeda motor. Jurusan teknik bisnis sepeda motor SMK Bina Nusa Slawi merupakan student body terbesar di Kabupaten Tegal. Jumlah peserta didik yang besar menjadi pekerjaan berat untuk mencetak kualitas peserta didik yang optimal. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan membantu mematangkan kompetensi motor bakar. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 16-17 Juni 2021 di Bengkel SMK Bina Nusa Slawi Kabupaten Tegal. PKM tahap 1 adalah refresh konsep dasar motor bakar dan komponennya. Setiap peserta diberikan pemahaman dan praktikum demonstrasi konsep kerja motor bakar melalui trainer engine cutting. Sedangkan PKM tahap 2, peserta diberikan pelatihan perawatan dan perbaikan sistem bahan bakar. Melalui program pengabdian kepada masyarakat, kompetensi motor bakar sistem bahan bakar peserta didik kelas XII telah optimal. Hal ini terlihat dari PKM tahap 1 bahwa seluruh peserta mampu mendemonstrasikan fungsi kerja komponen motor bakar. Pada PKM tahap 2, seluruh peserta telah mampu mendemonstrasikan perawatan dan perbaikan sistem bahan bakar sepeda motor. Selain itu, peserta mampu memahami dampak asap saluran buang akibat bahan bakar yang tidak berkualitas. Peserta didik mampu membaca hasil uji emisi gas buang.

Abstract

Pembelajaran di sekolah menggunakan media dapat membantu keberhasilan proses belajar mengajar. Pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan di sekolah tentu tidaklah hanya sekedar mempelajari tentang teori saja. Pada pengabdian ini penggunaan media dengan bersasis AutoCad diharapkan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Mengingat selain mempelajari teori siswa juga belajar untuk menerapkan apa yang telah mereka pelajari didalam kegiatan praktek, misalnya dalam proses penggambaran Di SMK Ma’arif Nu Talang Kabupaten Tegal secara factual masih kurangnya siswa yang memanfaatkan AutoCAd sebagai alat bantu penggambaran dikarenakan masih seringnya penggambaran secara manual, Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk 1) Mengetahui gambaran pemanfaatan AutoCad pada standar kompetensi menggambar konstruksi baut;2)Mengetahui hasil belajar siswa pada standar kompetensi menggambar konstruksi baut;3) mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh pemanfaatan AutoCad terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada standar kompetensi menggambar konstruksi baut. Dalam Pengabdian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode presentasi dan diskusi. Sampel penganbdian dalam pengabdian ini berjumlah 10 siswa diambil dari kelas 12 pilihan. Kesimpulan pengabdian ini adalah pelatihan Auto Cad bagi siswa SMK Ma’arif Nu Talang dalam penyelesaian tuga pada standar kompetensi menggambar konstruksi baut. Kata kunci— Pelatihan Auto Cad, Belajar Siswa SMK

Abstract

Peningkatan jumlah kendaraan bermotor membuat kebutuhan bahan bakar fosil dan emisi gas buang meningkat. Jatropa banyak diteliti untuk mengganti bahan bakar karena memiliki karakteritik yang mendekati solar. Selain jatropa, kandungan oksigen yang tinggi dan viskositas yang rendah dalam energi terbarukan butanol dianggap mampu menurunkan permasalahan mesin diesel. Penelitian ini mengobservasi penggunaan bahan bakar campuran solar-jatropa-butanol terhadap daya dan smoke opacity mesin diesel 4JB1. Pengujian dilakukan pada putaran konstant 2500 rpm. Persentase campuran bahan bakar sebesar 85/10/5, 80/10/10, 75/10/15, 75/20/5, 70/20/10, 65/20/15, 65/30/5, 60/30/10, 55/30/15 berbasis volume. Hasil pengujian memperlihatkan bahwa penggunaan bahan bakar campuran solar-jatropa-butanol menghasilkan daya dan smoke opacity yang lebih rendah dibandingkan solar.

Abstract

Diesel engines are widely used as driving forces in vehicles and industry due to fuel efficiency and high output power. The wide use of diesel engines triggers an increase in fuel consumption and exhaust emissions that are harmful to health. Jatropha is a renewable fuel as a solution to increase fuel consumption. However, the high viscosity and low calorific value result in reduced performance and increased exhaust emissions. Butanol has a high oxygen content and cetane number and low viscosity compared to diesel and jatropha. Addition of butanol is possible to reduce the decrease in performance and exhaust emissions of diesel engines. this study evaluates the effect of butanol on reducing Isuzu 4JB1 diesel engine direct injection emissions. Percentage of blend used 70/30/0, 65/30/5, 60/30/10, and 55/40/15 based on volume. Tests are carried out at 2500 constant turns with a loading of 25% to 100% using the EGR system. The experimental results showed the presence of butanol caused a decrease in soot emissions produced by diesel engines

Abstract

Biodiesel is a priority program to reduce dependence on diesel fuel. B20 biodiesel is proven to be used as fuel without modifying diesel engine specifications. The development of biodiesel with a higher percentage of palm oil need to be developed continuously, therefore dependence on diesel fuel is lower. However, the high viscosity of biodiesel becomes an obstacle, so alcohol is added to reduce problems in the fuel injection process. This research aims to observe the biodiesel properties of a solar-palm cooking oil-methanol/ethanol/butane mixture which is correlated with the potential exhaust emissions and performance produced by a diesel engine. Palm cooking oil used is 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, and 85%, while methanol/ ethanol/ butane alcohol used is 15%. Based on the results of physical and chemical tests, the higher the content of palm cooking oil means the worse the biodiesel properties will be. Biodiesel blended of palm-methanol solar-cooking oil has the potential of the same exhaust emissions and engine performance as diesel fuel.

Abstract

The torsion beam is one of the most important parts of an electric car. The torsion beam can accept the loading of vehicle structures statically and dynamically. The movement of the vehicle, such as turning, turning with a bumpy road contour, affects the stress limit that the torsion beam can support. This study aims to simulate the effects of shifts such as deflection and stress on the use of a torsion beam suspension. The method used is a loading simulation using the Finite Element Model (FEM) model. The results showed that the maximum deflection effect occurred in the 2000N loading of 1.5347 mm, while the maximum stress effect occurred in the 2000N loading of 2342.57N.

Abstract

The high octane number and oxygen content of butanol can improve combustion more completely and the residual gas resulting from engine combustion is more environmentally friendly. This study examines the effect of adding 5% to 15% butanol at 5% intervals on a gasoline engine with an EGR system with premium fuel on emissions and exhaust gas temperatures. The exhaust gas analyzer was used to measure the combustion gases. Exhaust gas temperature was measured using a thermocouple mounted on the exhaust manifold. The mixture of P85B15 reduced CO levels by 68.11% and HC by 37.50% compared to P100. However, CO2 emissions and exhaust gas temperatures increased. The use of hot and cold EGR generally increased engine exhaust emissions. However, the exhaust gas temperature decreased by 4.72% when the engine used cold EGR and 1.33% when the engine used hot EGR.

Abstract

Jatropha is proven to reduce dependence on diesel fuel. Jatropha oil is widely used as  a mixture of diesel fuel. However, low heating value and high viscosity result in lower engine performance and higher carbon black emissions than pure diesel fuel. Alcohol groups such as butanol have low viscosity properties and oxygen and cetane numbers close to diesel fuel. The use of butanol as an additive to diesel-jatropha mixed fuels is expected to improve engine performance. This study aims to observe brake power, brake specific fuel consumption, and brake thermal efficiency of diesel engines using diesel-jatropha-butanol mixed fuel. Jatropha used 10%, 20% and 30%. While the butanol used is 5%, 10%, and 15% based on volume. The research increased in a brake power value of 2.22%. The decrease in brake specific fuel consumption was 4.81% and the increase in brake thermal efficiency was 10.85%.Keywords : jatropha, viscosity, performance, soot, butanol.

Abstract

Setiap tahun perkembangan industri manufaktur mengalami peningkatan drastis sehingga daya serap SDM juga semakin tinggi. Oleh karena itu, lulusan SMK dituntun memiliki kompetensi yang dapat bersaing di perusahaan manufactur salah satunya dibidang perancangan. Perancangan merupakan kegiatan awal dari suatu rangkaian kegiatan dalam proses pembuatan produk. Pada dunia industri manufaktur, proses perancangan sudah menggunakan sistem komputerisasi salah satu yang sering digunakan adalah aplikasi Autodesk Inventor. Oleh karena itu, calon lulusan SMK perlu diberikan pelatihan perancangan menggunakan aplikasi Autodesk Inventor sehingga calon lulusan SMK dapat diterima oleh perusahaan manufactur. Pelatihan ini dimulai dari tahap pendalaman materi gambar teknik, pengenalan dan pengoperasian aplikasi Autodesk Inventor, dan mengevaluasi hasil rancangan mesin peserta pelatihan. Hasil pelatihan ini menunjukan bahwa seluruh peserta dapat menggambar dan merancang komponen mesin dengan menggunakan aplikasi Autodesk Inventor. Hal ini terbukti dari nilai rata-rata hasil evaluasi lebih dari 4 sehingga peserta pelatihan dianggap dapat merancang mesin menggunakan aplikasi Autodesk Inventor.

Abstract

Class XII students of the TBSM Department, SMK Ma'Arif NU 01 Wanasari, Brebes Regency, are products of distance learning (online) due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Practicum learning in school workshops or industrial workshops ould not be carried out so students’s quality of competence is low. Therefore, this workshop-based PKM aims to increase the competence of participants, especially in the field of motorcycle injection systems. The PKM will be held in two stages, namely on November 28, 2022 (stage 1), and November 29, 2022 (stage 2). ThePKM technique prioritizes the SCL method and Small Discussion. PKM participants are class XII students with a total of 20 people. PKM stage 1 results in an increased understanding of the working principle of a 4-stroke motorbike by 95%. This success was achieved from the evaluation that was carried out in each presentation of the material. Success was also obtained at the 2nd stage of PKM. The material on the working principles and functions of the injection system components was well received by the participants. As many as 95% of the participants were able to re-explain the working principles and work functions of the motorcycle injection system components
