Abstract

The discovery of positive confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the Cibiru Asri I complex area has an impact on residents in that environment, such as panic, worries about Covid-19 transmission, increased stress and fatigue, while knowledge about prevention measures for transmission in public places is still not optimal, marked by the use of masks which is not appropriate, hand washing facilities are not yet available and knowledge about stress management is inadequate, even though this can reduce immunity and the risk of Covid 19 transmission occurs. This activity aims to increase the role of families, especially mothers in responding to the Covid-19 outbreak. The method used as a solution to overcome partner problems is by holding educational activities about the Covid-19 disease; self-assessment of Covid-19 in families (selfi), hand washing movements (harewos), movements of wearing masks, making hand sanitizers and disinfectants (hade), healthy liver movements (hearts), stress management with finger handheld therapy and donations made online and offline. Based on the evaluation, it was found that almost all of the mothers (80%) who participated in educational activities about Covid-19, self-assessment, hand washing movements and wearing masks were in the good category, while the stress levels of mothers after being given finger handheld therapy were almost entirely (73, 3%) are in the normal category. This shows that community service activities in the form of education provided by the community service team can increase mothers' knowledge of preparedness to face Covid-19. Education for mothers can increase family knowledge, because mothers are people who act as protectors of the family, especially their children. So that education by involving mothers is necessary to continue to increase the independence of the family in facing disasters.Keywords: Covid-19, Emergency Response, Family Role

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatnya pengetahuan dan kemampuan para siswa/i yang akan menjadi change agent dalam perubahan yang ada di masyarakat terkait menyikapi informasi dan berita COVID-19 sehingga mampu mengolah informasi yang didapat dengan baik serta tidak mudah terpengaruh oleh berita yang belum jelas sumber dan kebenarannya. Maka dari itu, kemampuan literasi media informasi harus dikembangkan agar masalah ini dapat teratasi secara perlahan. Dengan melibatkan 4 sekolah menengah atas dan sederajatnya yaitu SMAN 1 Cisolok, SMAN 1 Nagreg, SMK Bhakti Kencana Limbangan dan Pesantren Persatuan Islam 80  Al-amin. Telah dilaksanakan webinar dengan judul “Berdiri Bersama Perangi Berita Hoax COVID-19” secara daring melalui Zoom dan live streaming YouTube pada tanggal 14 Agustus 2021. Setelah dievaluasi, terdapat kenaikan pengetahuan sebesar 17% pada pengisian kuesioner awal dan akhir dengan rata-rata awal 7,58 dan rata-rata akhir 8,9. Hal ini menjadi indikator keberhasilan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini mampu mengedukasi siswa/i atau peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan tentang cara cerdas dan bijak dalam menyikapi berita-berita hoax COVID-19.

Abstract

 PKK for Sukamiskin Village is an organizational group of PKK mothers from 17 RWs in the Sukamiskin Village, Antapani District, Bandung City.In the Era of the Covid-19 Pandemic, every individual must always be aware of maintaining cleanliness, applying the habit of wearing masks and washing hands to prevent the spread of the virus that causes Covid-19. Washing hands with soap is an effective effort for all people to prevent the spread of the virus that causes Covid-19. Soap is amphiphilic, that is, the head has a hydrophilic (polar) and hydrophobic (nonpolar) group. Therefore, soap can bind dirt and fat molecules and dissolve them in water. Hand washing soap that is practical to carry anywhere is something that is needed by today's society. Paper soap is one of the innovative soap products. This paper soap will dissolve when exposed to water and rubbed on the hands will release foam. Paper soap is generally used as disposable hand soap because of its small and thin size, which makes it easy to carry anywhere and is suitable for use when doing activities outside the home. This is the reason for the importance of providing knowledge and skills to PKK mothers about the importance of washing hands and skills in making paper soap so that the application of hand washing habits can be cultivated.

Abstract

Hipertensi adalah masalah kesehatan serius dengan potensi dampak fatal yang membutuhkan penanganan yang tepat. Pendekatan yang digunakan untuk mengatasi masalah ini adalah melalui program CERDIK di Kelurahan Rancanumpang, Kecamatan Gedebage, yang memiliki tingkat kasus hipertensi yang tinggi. Tujuan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan pengendalian hipertensi dengan metode CERDIK. Program ini mencakup pemeriksaan kesehatan dan pendidikan kesehatan melalui CERDIK sebagai upaya pengendalian hipertensi. Pemeriksaan kesehatan juga dilakukan door-to-door. Program melibatkan partisipasi 450 warga, dengan 120 orang menjalani pemeriksaan kesehatan rutin. Dari pemeriksaan ini, 44 orang didiagnosis dengan hipertensi berdasarkan tekanan darah di atas 140/80 mmHg, menunjukkan relevansi penerapan CERDIK. Selama program, pendidikan kesehatan meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang pengendalian hipertensi, dampaknya, pencegahan, dan asupan nutrisi yang tepat. Evaluasi program menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman, terutama setelah penyuluhan. Program ini juga berhasil mentransfer pengetahuan tentang pengendalian hipertensi, aspek psikologis yang terkait, dan perawatan yang diperlukan. Program ini menjadi contoh positif dalam upaya meningkatkan pemahaman dan pengendalian hipertensi di Kelurahan Rancanumpang. Hal ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya mengembangkan upaya pencegahan dan penanganan masalah kesehatan. Kata Kunci : Hipertensi, Cerdik, Pengendalian, Pencegahan, Edukasi ABSTRACT Hypertension is a serious health issue with potentially fatal consequences that necessitates appropriate treatment. The approach utilized to address this problem is the CERDIK program in Rancanumpang Village, Gedebage District, which has a high prevalence of hypertension cases. The objective is to enhance awareness and management of hypertension through the CERDIK method. This program encompasses health assessments and health education delivered through CERDIK as a means to manage hypertension. Health assessments are also conducted through home visits. The program involved the participation of 450 residents, with 120 individuals undergoing regular health assessments. From these examinations, 44 people were diagnosed with hypertension based on blood pressure readings exceeding 140/80 mmHg, underscoring the importance of implementing CERDIK. Throughout the program, health education enhances public knowledge about hypertension control, its consequences, prevention, and appropriate nutritional intake. Program evaluation reveals an increase in understanding, particularly following counseling sessions. The program effectively disseminates knowledge about hypertension management, associated psychological aspects, and necessary treatments. This program serves as a positive example in endeavors to raise awareness and control hypertension in Rancanumpang Village.
