Abstract

Shortage of petroleum in Indonesia is a problem that triggers people to look for alternative fuels derived fuel. One of them is the use of LPG fuel as motorcycle fuel. And to improve the performance and efficiency of the use of LPG fuel in vehicles is one of them by varying the ignition timing.The aim of this study to explore the effect of ignition timing on the torque, power and specific fuel consumption effective (SFCE) with LPG fuel using converter kit on petrol engine four stroke single cylinder Honda Astrea Prima 100 cc. In this study, the ignition timing is varied at 15˚, 17˚, 19˚ and 21˚ before TDC and to set engine rotation at 1500 rpm, 2500 rpm, 3500 rpm and 4500 rpm.The results of the experiments conducted in this study show a better performance of the engine when the ignition timing advanced earlier. Highest torque at 17˚ before TDC is 0,507 kgf.m at 4500 rpm, the highest effective power at 17˚ before TDC is 3,183 PS at 4500 rpm, and the lowest SFCE at 17˚ before TDC is 0,084 kg / jam.PS at 4500 rpm.

Abstract

Peningkatan pemahaman akan keselamatan bekerja khususnya dalam rumah tangga dalam pemakain kompor gas sangat dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat dalam upaya mencegah bahaya kebakaran. Kompor gas sebagai peralatan utama dan sangat dibutuhkan perlu perawatan rutin agar lebih efisien dan nyaman dalam beraktivitas. Salah satu kegiatan dilakukan di Banjar Gria Hita, Lingkungan Gria Pagutan Indah, Pagutan Barat, Mataram. Kegiatan dilakukan melalui pelatihan perawatan kompor gas rumah tangga untuk mencegah terjadinya bahaya kebakaran. Kegiatan pelatihan menghasilkan pemahaman warga akan pentingnya dan cara perawatan kompor gas yang mudah dan murah. Masyarakat menjadi paham dan tahu fungsi burner, selang gas, dan kebersihan badan kompor. Kompor gas yang selalu terjaga kebersihannya dapat meningkatkan efisiensi pemakaian gas, selain mencegah bahaya kebakaran.

Abstract

Sebagian warga di Desa Pendem, Kecamatan Janapria, Kabupaten Lombok Tengah, mengolah batang bambu menjadi tusuk sate. Namun permasalahannya di dalam pembuatan tusuk sate ini masih dilakukan dengan secara manual, yaitu dengan menggunakan alat penyerut yang sederhana. Akibatnya produk hasil pengerjaan yang manual ini juga berkualits rendah. Sebagai solusinya tim pelaksana pengabdianmembuat alat pembuat tusuk sate secara mekanik untuk meningkatkan kuantitas dan kualitas produksi tusuk sate di lokasi mitra usaha. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah membantu pengraijn tusuk sate dengan cara diseminasi alat pembuatan tusuk sate ke mitra usaha. Manfaatnya adalah produktifitas pengrajin tusuk sate akan meningkat. Metode yang dilakukan adalah sosialisasi program dan observasi, mendesain alat pembuat tusuk sate mekanik, pembuatan alat, uji coba alat, diseminasi alat ke mitra usaha, dan evaluasi. Dari pelaksanaan pengabdian ini diperoleh data aktivitas pengrajin tusuk sate di lokasi mitra, dan berhasil juga dibuat alat pengirat bambu untuk tusuk sate. Selain itu diperoleh antusiasme perserta penyuluhan. Setelah serah terima alat ke mitra dan uji coba alat, diperoleh hasil iratan bambu yang lebih seragam dibanding jika dibuat secara manual.

Abstract

Recenly conventional vehicles use fossil fuels, however these fuels are non-renewable energy sources and their availability in nature is very limited. If they are explored continuously then one day they will run out, so it is very necessary to save and innovate to use these sources. Other renewable energy sources, one of which is electrical energy, where this electrical energy can be generated from various sources such as water, solar, biomass and so on. Besides that, the use of electrical energy for vehicles is currently very relevant because it is environmentally friendly, that is, it does not produce CO or CO2 gas like conventional vehicles, so this energy is known as green energy. Indonesia has the potential to produce electric cars because the availability of nickel is very abundant to be processed into batteries, as a provider or energy storage for electric cars, our country has a very big opportunity to produce electric cars. To make this happen, it is deemed necessary to carry out comprehensive studies such as power steering so that comfort and safety can be achieved. The most suitable power steering is the electric power steering (EPS) type because the energy required comes from the battery. The method applied in this research is an experimental method, by measuring torque requirements on various roads, the roads chosen are asphalt roads, block paving roads and dirt roads. Based on this data, an EPS test bench then created which was able to measure the input and output torque of the EPS and look for the power consumed by the system. Road conditions can cause differences in torque requirements, in block paving road conditions the greatest torque requirement is 2.77 Nm and the smallest occurs in asphalt road conditions at 1.62 Nm. EPS testing shows that it is only loaded up to 25% with an input torque of 1,652 Nm resulting an output torque of 3,924 Nm with an electrical power consumption of 6,31 watts.

Abstract

The improvement of human resources quality is a crucial part of the nation-building process. The quality of human resources plays a pivotal role in supporting the competitiveness of a nation amid global competition. Developing countries, including Indonesia, face complex developmental issues such as poverty, educational backwardness, economic challenges, cultural issues, high unemployment rates, and other social problems. Based on these considerations, we pay serious attention to community development with the aim of guiding and transferring skills that can empower the community towards greater productivity. Skills education and welding training are conducted in collaboration with youth groups, targeting the general community, especially the youth. Through the implementation of this welding training program, we seek to provide learning opportunities for unemployed youth without skills, enabling them to acquire knowledge and skills in line with their talents and interests. Ultimately, it is hoped that the skills gained from welding training can serve as a foundation for employment and even the creation of self-employment or group ventures in the future.

Abstract

Doing yoga regularly with full discipline will create a balance between mind body and soul for human life.  This service process initially targeted 45 participants who were given questionnaires and interviews to determine the level of understanding of the service process, its benefits, and its impact on yoga participants. In general, the participants' understanding was quite good, although the practice of yoga asanas was still an obstacle in the learning process. Most yoga participants stated that this service was beneficial both as individuals and as part of society, especially people in the East Jakarta area. Not only that, there is positive reinforcement that occurs through this service process. On the other hand, the problem of limited meeting time is still an obstacle in improving his yoga practice. Practically, it is hoped that this service can be applied by yoga participants at Pura Aditya Jaya Rawamangun as a center for Hindus in Jakarta, so that doing yoga can be used as a useful lifestyle for Hindus in Jakarta. Apart from that, it is hoped that this service can contribute academically in determining themes of community service, especially those related to the development and socialization of Yoga teachings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of varying the inclination angle of the glass cover on the performance efficiency of a solar distillator. The angles investigated were 35°, 40°, and 45°, with the main observed parameters being the amount of distilled water produced and the thermal efficiency of the system. An experimental method was employed using a single-basin type solar still tested under natural solar radiation conditions. The results showed that the glass inclination angle significantly affects the performance of the distillator. At a 35° inclination, the distillator produced the highest volume of distilled water compared to the other two angles. Thermal efficiency also reached its maximum at this angle, indicating that a shallower glass angle allows for more effective heat absorption and condensation. In contrast, at 40° and 45°, both the distillate output and efficiency decreased. This is presumed to be due to an increased reflection angle of solar radiation and reduced energy absorption by the water in the basin. The study concludes that a glass inclination angle of 35° provides optimal performance for solar distillation under the specific geographical and climatic conditions in which the experiment was conducted.
