Abstract

Reading Bojonegoro and Tuban’s Sandur Performances. Sandur performance is a form of social and culturalactivities of agrarian society. This study focuses on the difference between Bojonegoro and Tuban’s Sandurperformances. This performance is a form of expression patterns of thought and feeling into a tangible folk art. Itwill compare the themes of the stories, the actors, makeup and fashion, properties, music accompaniment, stages,time of performances and audiences. Comparative study of aesthetic forms an important aspect in order to analyze atraditional theater. Based on the research concluded that Sandur performance is one way to present the creative ideaswith aesthetic value. Performing of Sandur also has a complexity of meaning contained therein.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan umum penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan pelatihan olah tubuh berbasis silat untuk pengayaan mata kuliah olah tubuh di Jurusan Teater. Tujuan khusus penelitian ini adalah: (1) mendeskripsikan gerak-gerak silat Bangau Putih; (2) mengidentifikasi gerak-gerak silat Bangau Putih untuk penyusunan gerak-gerak olah tubuh; (3) menyusun pelatihan olah tubuh berdasarkan gerak silat Bangau Putih untuk mata kuliah olah tubuh di Jurusan Teater. Penelitian ini dirancang dengan pendekatan reseach and development. Penelitian ditindaklanjuti dengan pengembangan metode dan aplikasi metode dalam pelatihan dan pementasan. Penelitian ini bersifat multi years yang dirancang dalam dua tahap. Tahap pertama adalah  mendeskripsikan gerak silat Bangau Putih dan melakukan identifikasi gerak-gerak yang dapat dikembangkan menjadi gerak-gerak untuk olah tubuh. Tahap kedua merancang gerak-gerak olah tubuh berdasarkan gerak silat bangau putih dan mengaplikasikan pada mata kuliah olah tubuh. Aplikasi dilakukan untuk menguji kelayakan rancangan gerak yang telah disusun. Kata kunci: model pelatihan, silat, Bangau Putih, olah tubuh Abstract: The general objective of this research is to develop silat-based movement exercise for the enrichment of body movement courses at the Theater Department. The specific objectives of this study are: (1) to describe the movements of silat Bangau Putih ; (2) identify the movements of silat Bangau Putih for the preparation of body movements; (3) arrange movement exercise based on the motion of the Bangau Putih silat for movement exercise courses in the Theater Department. This research was designed for the course research and development. The research then followed up with the development of methods and application in training and staging. This research is a multi-year study designed in two stages: first, to explore the Bangau Putih silat movements and to identify the movements that can be developed for the body movement exercise course;  second, to design the body movements exercise based on the Bangau Putih silat for the body movement course. The application of the results of the study was carried out to test the feasibility of the body movement exercise designed. Key words: lecture course model, silat, Bangau Putih, body movement exercise

Abstract

Jakarta 2039 (40 Tahun 9 Bulan Setelah 13-14 Mei 1998) karya Seno Gumira Ajidarma mengisahkan tentang tindakan rasisme dan diskriminasi yang dialami oleh masyarakat etnis Tionghoa khususnya perempuan. Tragedi ini terjadi pada Mei 1998, dimana tragedi ini terdapat penjarahan, kekerasan, dan pemerkosaan terhadap masyarakat etnis Tionghoa yang dipicu oleh krisis moneter pada akhir masa pemerintahan Orde Baru. Argumentasi utama dari penciptaan ini berdasar pada peristiwa kekerasan yang menimpa perempuan etnis Tionghoa pada Mei 1998. Penciptaan ini berfokus pada kronologi kejadian dan trauma yang dialami oleh tokoh bernama Clara yang diakibatkan oleh pemerkosaan. Penciptaan karakter tokoh Clara dengan menggunakan pendekatan akting representasi dan menggabungkan panggung teater dengan teknologi media berbentuk imersif. Playing the Character of Clara in the Script “Jakarta 2039 (40 Years 9 Months After May 13-14, 1998)” by Seno Gumira AjidarmaThe text "Jakarta 2039 (40 Years 9 Months After 13-14 May 1998)" by Seno Gumira Ajidarma tells the story of the human tragedy, racism and discrimination experienced by the ethnic Chinese community, especially women. This tragedy occurred in May 1998, where this tragedy involved looting, violence and fraud against the ethnic Chinese community which was triggered by the monetary crisis at the end of the New Order government. The main argument of this article is based on the violent incident that befell an ethnic Chinese woman in May 1998. The case in this article focuses on the chronology of events and the trauma experienced by a character named Clara which was caused by this human tragedy. The character creation of Clara uses a representational acting approach and combines the theater stage with immersive technological media.

Abstract

Kethoprak revitalization in Yogyakarta. This writing scrutinize kethoprak as one of the performing art varieties that develops along with the age transformation. It is because of its devotees ensure the kethoprak revitalization process to take place. The process is carried out both textually and contextually. The revitalization is not merely done by repeating the show as an action to perpetuate the tradition but also covers undertaking the efforts to improve and to renew it, in its textual as well as contextual aspects, to fulfill the existing demand. Keywords: kethoprak, revitalization, textual, contextual
