Abstract

The creation of a transportation system that ensures the movement of people, vehicles, and or goods smoothly, safely, quickly, cheaply, comfortably, and by the environment is already a development goal in the transportation sector. The target functional level of the road network will be determined by the level of traffic flow through the road network. Based on data from the Central Bureau of Statistics in 2017, Dumai City has national roads with a total length of 72 km, and provincial roads with a total length of 140 km. Every day nearly thousands of vehicles pass through that road. The trip that is carried out can cause quite a lot of displacement at the same time and has the potential to cause high travel generation. This activity certainly can result in jams. As a national road, Jalan Soekarno-Hatta must meet the requirements of comfort and safety so that traffic on this road can run well. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the road performance. The purpose of research is to find out the value of the degree of saturation and the value of the level of service on that road. The evaluation on the research by using PKJI 2014. Of the evaluations carried out, it is known that the Soekarno-Hatta road segment will experience congestion on Saturdays and Sundays. The highest peak hour is on Sunday at 14:00-15:00 WIB with a volume of vehicle 2300 vehicles/hour. Soekarno-Hatta's service level on Monday and Tuesday is in class D, while on Saturday and Sunday, the level of road service is in class F. Thus it can be concluded that the performance of the Soekarno-Hatta road section is classified as poor, so that action is needed for the future.

Abstract

Third junction of Sungai Bengkel was a Signalized Intersection which a hasn’t have traffic jam ,which has three approach, are North approach, West approach and East approach. However, the alinyemen for the North approach has problems that make it difficult for vehicles, especially four-wheelers to turn because the effect bottle neck resulting in the slow motion of the vehicle and change of phase time . the problem solving, the evalution of traffic light and intersection geometry were carried out by widening the alinyemen for the North approach and East approaches and doing changes in cycle time. The purpose of evaluating the performance of traffic light and Geometrics at the third intersection of Sungai Bengkel is to determine the value of the degree of saturation and to know the performance of the intersection.At the intersection planning, it refers to the PKJI 2014 for Intersection Performance, while for the Geometrics it refers to Module 4 of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing on Geometric Planning of Plane Intersections.Based on the calculation results of the Sungai Bengkel junction performance indicate that, the degree of saturation < 0.85,which is 0.529 for North, 0.537 for East, and 0.570 for West .With the radius is 15 m, and the cycle time of traffic light 50 second, with the delay time as long as 17 second/pcu

Abstract

The rumble strips phenomena in Indonesia aims to decrease speed and vibration effect for vehicles. Actually, the use of rumble strips in the Bengkalis island is not optimal, as does not reduce the speed of vehicles and always ignore the effect of the trill inflicted in the rumble strips for reasons of getting high speed and the less effect shakes posed. The purpose of this research is to find the shockwave on the road by using Greenshields method. Base on the result of this research, shockwave value as big as -30,299 km/h indicated the increase of vehicles in the rumble strips

Abstract

Overloading is a condition of a vehicle's axle load exceeding the standard load used on the pavement design assumptions or the number of operational paths before the age of the plan is reached, or often referred to as premature deterioration. and the consequence of overloading of the road will decrease the service life of the road. The axis load allowed to pass through the road is 8 tons but in fact the field of passing vehicles exceeds the limit allowed by overloaded trucks. This is evidenced by the Department of Public Works of Riau Province states that 45% of damage caused by vehicle excess burden. The purpose of the research undertaken, namely to determine the reduced service life of the road from the design life that has been determined due to vehicle load. The method obtained is by calculating the ESAL cumulative standard and ESAL existing to get Traffic Design (ESAL). From the analysis of Traffic Design (ESAL), the age of pavement is expected to end in the 7th year since the road increase or there is a reduction of 3 years from the age of the 10 year plan and the expected reduction in the remaining age of 52.60% since the road repair has ended.

Abstract

Peningkatan volume kendaraan akan mempengaruhi tingkat kinerja lalu lintas dan menyebabkan perubahan perilaku lalu lintas suatu ruas jalan yang akhirnya mengakibatkan terjadinya dampak lalulintas. Metode di Indonesia yang digunakan untuk menganalisa dampak lalu lintas yaitu Pedoman Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia (PKJI 2014) sebagai pemutakhiran dari MKJI 1997. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbandingan nilai analisis dampak lalu lintas antaraPKJI 2014, MKJI 1997 dan software Vissim dalam menganalisa dampak lalu lintas. Hasil analisa yang diperoleh dari satu segmen jalan yaitu jalan Jenderal Sudirman tersebut akan diketahui melalui kinerja ruas jalan. Setelah dilakukan penelitian dan hasilnya menunjukkan dengan lebar efektif jalan yaitu 6.50 m Jalan Jenderal Sudirman Duri mengalami kemacetan apabila menggunakan PKJI 2014 dan MKJI 1997 dengan derajat kejenuhan 1.20 sedangkan menggunakan software vissim tidak.

Abstract

The Dumai city area began to develop along with the rapid population growth with a total of more than 350 thousand people, the Dumai city government began to think about making a place of worship as well as a tourist nuance as a community recreation center along with a city green park adjacent to the hill arena park, the location of the hill arena park which is in an urban area will have a negative impact on the surrounding traffic conditions if it is not handled properly. The method used in evaluating the performance of roads due to traffic and surrounding development is using PKJI 2014 and the Vissim Student Version Software application. The results of the analysis using PKJI 2014 obtained a capacity value of 7869 Skr/Hour for Jendral Sudirman Road and 5988 Skr/Hour for HR. Soebrantas Road and 6925 Skr/hour for Jalan Raya Bukit Datuk. Of the three roads, the highest degree of saturation is on the road Raya Bukit Datuk obtained a saturation degree value of the existing conditions of 0,48. This explains that judging from the service level values being analyzed, the flow does not yet require repairs, either widening or other improvements.
