Abstract

This study aims to analyze interest in learning and student responses in online learning using e-learning media in Universitas Bengkulu. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire distributed using google form. Questionnaire analysis was carried out using a mini step application with the Rasch model. The population in this study was 193 science education students with a total sample of 64 people. The results showed that the interest in learning science education students in general chemistry 2 had a conversion value of 78.56, which was in the high category. Meanwhile, the student person towards online learning using e-learning media also showed good results, with a conversion value of 60.42, which was in the good category.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an Android-based SPU learning media using APP Inventor in the general chemistry course 1 of the Science Education study program at Bengkulu University. The method used in this study is Research and Development (RD) with a 4D (four-D) research and development model, namely definition, formulation of learning objectives, design, carried out by designing media In learning, developing (developing) the validation of learning media content by media experts and material experts, and dissemination (dissemination) through YouTube. The results obtained include the development of Android-based SPU learning media with six main contents, namely the intro, home, CPL, and CPMK pages, materials, evaluations, and about me. The validation results by material experts, media experts, and assessments by students are all in the "appropriate" category, so this application is very good to use. Student responses after using this application are also good and are in the "agree" category. It means that students agree and are interested in the SPU application used. Student learning outcomes have increased after using SPU learning media. The gain score is 0,60 and is in the "medium" category, indicating that SPU learning media effectively improves student learning outcomes in general chemistry 1 course, especially in SPU material.

Abstract

Pertanian yang ramah lingkungan masih menjadi prioritas bagi pemerintah daerah dalam pembangunan berkelanjutan karena diharapkan dapat meningkatkan dan mempertahankan produktivitas tinggi dalam bidang pertanian. Pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mewujudkan pertanian ramah lingkungan dengan memanfaatkan limbah organik rumah tangga sebagai bahan baku pembuatan kompos dengan Biokativator. Sasaran kegiatan dalam pengabdian ini adalah Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Nila 4A, KWT Nila 6E dan KWT Lahan Hijau di RT.4 RW.01 Kelurahan Sumber Jaya Kecamatan  Kampung  Melayu Kota Bengkulu dengan jumlah  sasaran sebanyak 45 orang. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu, tahap observasi, tahap penyuluhan, tahap monitoring, dan tahap evaluasi. Hasilnya adalah pupuk kompos yang dihasilkan cukup bagus, tidak ada ulat atau belatung, serta tidak terlalu bau., pupuk kompos dengan karakteristik demikian sangat cocok untuk diaplikasikan pada pertanian. Selain pupuk daun, dari kegiatan ini juga dihasilkan pupuk cair organik yang merupakan sisa cairan dari  proses pembuatan pupuk kompos dengan bioaktivator. Setelah kegiatan ini KWT Nila 4A, KWT Nila 6E dan KWT Lahan Hijau di RT.4 RW.01 Kelurahan Sumber Jaya  Kecamatan  Kampung  Melayu Kota Bengkulu diharapkan dapat  membuat kompos bioaktivator dengan kualitas bagus dan berdaya jual tinggi.Kata Kunci: bioaktivator; limbah organik rumah tangga; pupuk kompos. Increasing the Productivity of Bioactivator Compost with Organic Household Waste Raw MaterialsABSTRACTEnvironmentally friendly agriculture is still a priority for local governments in sustainable development because it is expected to increase and maintain high productivity in agriculture. This service was carried out with the aim of realizing environmentally friendly agriculture by utilizing household organic waste as raw material for composting with biocativators. The targets of this service are the Women Farmers Group (KWT) Nila 4A, KWT Nila 6E and KWT Green Land in RT.4 RW.01 Kelurahan Sumber Jaya Sub-district Kampung Melayu Bengkulu City with a total target of 45 people. The method used in this service consists of 4 stages, namely, the observation stage, the counseling stage, the monitoring stage, and the evaluation stage. The result is that the compost produced is quite good, there are no caterpillars or maggots, and does not smell too much. Compost with these characteristics is very suitable for application in agriculture. Apart from foliar fertilizers, this activity also produces organic liquid fertilizer, which is the residual liquid from the compost-making process using a bioactivator. After this activity, KWT Nila 4A, KWT Nila 6E and KWT Green Land at RT.4 RW.01 Kelurahan Sumber Jaya Sub-district Kampung Melayu City Bengkulu City are expected to be able to make bioactivator compost with good quality and high selling power.Keywords: bioactivator; household organic waste; compost.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop an android-based PCT (Paper Chromatography Techniques) practicum media with QR code technology on mixed separation materials to help improve the quality of learning, especially in general chemistry practicum courses. This development is carried out using a 4D (four-D) research design, namely defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. At the definition stage, the formulation of the practicum objectives is carried out, the design stage is carried out by designing practicum media, while at the development stage the practicum media content validation is carried out by media experts and material experts, the dissemination stage is carried out through e-learning at Bengkulu University. The distribution of practicum media is carried out after the media is declared valid by the validator, namely material experts and media experts. The practicum media validation score by material experts is 70 which is in the "Eligible" category, while the validation results by media experts get 52 which is in the "Eligible" category. The results of the feasibility assessment of practicum media by students also showed results that were in the "appropriate" category with a conversion value of 31.93. Student responses to the PCT practicum media show an average score of 207.5 with a conversion value of 3.98 in the "agree" category. This can be interpreted that in general students agree with the aspects contained in the PCT practicum media so that the PCT media developed can be used in the learning process.

Abstract

This reserach was conducted to improve conceptual understanding and critical thinking ability of fourth-semester students of the Science education study program, Bengkulu University by applying PBL. The research method used in this study is quasi experimental, which in its implementation uses single class or one group pretest-posttest design. The test question was the instrument used in this study. The findings showed that there was an improvement in students‘ conceptual understanding and critical thinking ability of students‘ since implementing problem-based learning models in environmental chemistry courses. This improvement can be seen from the results of the gain test for each class group on the test of conceptual understanding and critical thinking ability which are in the "medium" category, while the t-test results for concept understanding and critical thinking ability show a significant difference (0.000 <0.05). ), In other words, the implementation of the PBL learning influences the students‘ conceptual understanding and critical thinking ability. Further the implementation of the problem-based learning model in teaching and learning process presents problems with real conditions so that it can stimulate students to not only think and understand at the rote level but also interpret the problem. Quiet in-depth research on the implementation of problem-based learning models in learning is highly recommended to get more comprehensive results.

Abstract

Computational thinking skills are not only provided to students in computer-related courses, but also in all courses, including Environmental Chemistry courses. Environmental chemistry courses are considered important because they orient students to the achievement of scientific literacy and awareness. Therefore, optimization of learning in environmental chemistry courses also needs to be carried out to support the achievement of CPL which includes 21st-century life skills, including computational thinking skills. science teacher candidates. The research method follows 3 stages of field study, namely preparation, data collection, and data analysis. The results of the study show that the Science Education Study Program has poured CT skills into CPL, environmental chemistry lectures are still dominated by theoretical explanations by lecturers, lecturers do not understand the concept of CT, and CT skills are very important to provide students.

Abstract

The purpose of the study  was to analyze the effect of using lipid e-books using the STEM approach on student learning outcomes. The method uses pre-experimental research with one group pretest posttest design. This research was conducted at one of the State Universities in Bengkulu with the subject consisting of 26 students who took the Organic Chemistry 2 course. The instrument used in this study was a multiple choice test with 4 meetings in the form of pretest and posttest questions. Data analysis techniques include the average value (mean), normality test, and hypothesis testing using a t-test using the SPPS for windows version 23 computer program. The results showed the average score of the learning outcomes before using the lipid organic chemistry e-book was 54.90, while after using the e-book the average value is 79.81. The learning outcomes data were normally distributed and the t-test value showed Significant (2-tailed) 0.00. These results indicate that the developed STEM-based teaching materials can improve student learning outcomes in particular and are able to improve the quality of learning for organic chemistry 2 courses in general.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pandemi Covid 19 telah berdampak banyak terhadap kehidupan masyarakat, tidak hanya berdampak pada kesehatan tetapi juga berdampak pada perekonomian masyarakat. Banyak sekali masyarakat yang kehilangan pekerjaanya karena di PHK oleh perusahaan tempat mereka bekerja dan akhirnya berdampak pada kelangsungan ekonomi keluarga mereka. Salah satu upaya yng dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan ekonomi masyrakat pada masa pandemi covid 19 adalah dengan pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat, agar masyarakat yang mengalami masalah ekonomi pada masa pandemi dapat memiliki skill atau kemampuan tertentu dalam berwirausaha sehingga dapat mempertahankan ekonomi keluarga mereka. Pengabdian ini dilakukan dalam rangka pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat agar masyarakat tetap produktif di masa pandemi covid 19. Pemberdayaan ekonomi ini dalam proses pelaksanannya dibantu oleh mahasiswa dari berbagai program studi di Universitas Bengkulu yang mengikuti kegiatan KKN (Kuliah Kerja Nyata) priode 94. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di tiga titik yaitu kelurahan Simpang Periuk kecamatan Lubuk Linggau Selatan II, RT 20 RW 04 Kecamatan Ratu Agung,dan Kelurahan Sukarami. Kegiatan yang dilakukan pada pengabdian ini adalah melakukan pelatihan kepada masyarakat tentang cara pembuatan Pupuk Organik Cair (POC), pelatihan penanaman bayam dengan metode hidroponik, dan pelatihan pemeliharaan dan pengelolaan ternak Puyuh. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah pupuk cair berwarna coklat kehitaman sehingga baik untuk diaplikasikan pada tanaman, tanaman bayam yang ditanam dengan menggunakan metode hidroponik tumbuh dengan subur dan menghasilkan tanaman bayam segar, dan ternak puyuh yang dipelihara dengan baik dagingnya dioleh menjadi puyuh ungkep yang siap digoreng dan dipasarkan. Kata Kunci   : Pemberdayaan Ekonomi, Covid 19, POC, Hidroponik, Puyuh  ABSTRACT INCREASING PRODUCTIVITY AND COMMUNITY KNOWLEDGE AS A SUPPORT OF ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. The COVID-19 pandemic has had many impacts on people's lives, not only having an impact on health but also having an impact on the community's economy. Many people have lost their jobs because they were laid off by the company they work for and this has an impact on the economic viability of their families. One of the efforts that can be made to improve the community's economy during the COVID-19 pandemic is to empower the community's economy, so that people who experience economic problems during the pandemic can have certain skills or abilities in entrepreneurship so that they can maintain their family economy. This service is carried out in the context of empowering the community's economy so that the community remains productive during the covid 19 pandemic. This economic empowerment in the implementation process is assisted by students from various study programs at Bengkulu University who take part in KKN (Real Work Lecture) activities for period 94. This activity was carried out in three points, namely Simpang Periuk sub-district, Lubuk Linggau Selatan II sub-district, RT 20 RW 04, Ratu Agung sub-district, and Sukarami sub-district. The activities carried out in this service are conducting training to the community on how to make Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC), training on growing spinach using the hydroponic method, and training in the maintenance and management of quail livestock. The results obtained are blackish brown liquid fertilizer so that it is good for application to plants, spinach plants grown using the hydroponic method thrive and produce fresh spinach plants, and quail that are properly cared for are turned into ungkep quail which are ready to be fried and marketed. Keywords     : Economic Empowerment, Covid 19, POC, Hydroponics, Quail

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat bahan ajar IPA SMP/MTs kelas VII bermuatan materi tentang scabies yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan ajar IPA dan media untuk melakukan sosialisasi penyakit scabies pada sekolah yang terintegrasi dengan pondok pesantren. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan Research and Development (R&D). Modul klasifikasi makhluk hidup untuk santri pondok pesantren kelas VII SMP/MTs bermuatan materi scabies telah dikembangkan dengan model pengembangan yang meliputi melakukan analisis kebutuhan terhadap bahan ajar, merencanakan prototype bahan ajar yang akan dikembangkan, mengembangkan prototype awal, melakukan uji coba terbatas, merevisi prototype awal, melakukan uji coba lapangan, melakukan revisi produk, dan melakukan diseminasi. Hasil validasi ahli materi terhadap modul memberikan nilai rata-rata  4,8, hasil validasi ahli bahasa terhadap modul memberikan nilai rata-rata 4,6, dan hasil validasi ahli media terhadap modul memberikan nilai 4,7. Nilai rata-rata yang diberikan oleh para validator tersebut menunjukkan bahwa modul layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. Respon siswa terhadap modul memberikan nilai rata-rata 80,37 yang berarti siswa cukup antusias menggunakan modul sebagai bahan ajar. Hasil Ngain terhadap hasil pre tes dan pos tes juga menunjukkan bahwa modul cukup efektif digunakan sebagai bahan ajar untuk meningkatkan personal hygiene santri untuk mengurangi kasus scabies di pondok pesantren. Hasil diseminasi menunjukkan bahwa 100% guru memahami tentang scabies, cara penularan, dan cara pencegahan terhadap scabies.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan E-LKPD berbasis discovery learning berbantuan virtual laboratory PhET pada materi kalor untuk SMP kelas VII. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan merupakan penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) model 4-D, dengan pembatasan isi pada tahap develop yaitu uji penggunaan produk secara terbatas oleh peserta didik, sedangkan tahap disseminate yaitu penyebaran hasil penelitian yang dipublikasi dalam jurnal ilmiah dan sosial media berupa link. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa wawancara dan angket yang diberikan kepada guru dan peserta didik. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa lembar validasi ahli dan angket respon peserta didik untuk mengetahui kelayakan serta respon peserta didik terhadap E-LKPD yang dikembangkan. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif. Validasi produk E-LKPD dilakukan oleh 2 ahli materi, 2 ahli media dan 2 praktisi. Uji penggunaan E-LKPD dilakukan di SMPN 1 Kota Bengkulu dengan subyek penelitian yang terdiri dari 20 peserta didik kelas VII. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa E-LKPD yang dikembangkan memperoleh rata-rata penilaian sebesar 0,97 dalam kategori validitas tinggi. Sedangkan respon peserta didik terhadap bahan ajar E-LKPD diperoleh persentase rata-rata sebesar 94,32% dalam kategori sangat baik. Simpulan dari hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa E-LKPD yang dikembangkan dinyatakan layak oleh tim ahli dan mendapat respon positif dari peserta didik untuk dilanjutkan dalam uji coba skala luas untuk melihat efektivitas produk. ABSTRACT This study aims to produce an E-LKPD based on discovery learning assisted by a virtual laboratory PhET on heat material for VII grade of Junior High School (SMP). The research’s type applied is a 4-D model of Research and Development, with content restrictions at the develop stage, namely testing the use of products on a limited basis by students, while the disseminate stage is the dissemination of research results published in scientific journals and social media in the form of links. Data collection techniques used were in the form of interviews and questionnaires given to teachers and students. The instrument for data collection were experts’ validation sheets and students’ response questionnaires to determine the feasibility and also student responses to the developed E-LKPD. The data analysis technique was carried out in a qualitative descriptive manner. E-LKPD product validation was carried out by 2 material experts, 2 media experts and 2 practitioners. The test on the use of E-LKPD was carried out at SMPN 1 Bengkulu City with research subjects consisting of 20 students from VII grade. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the developed E-LKPD has obtained an average rating of 0.97 in the high validity category. Meanwhile, the students' responses to the E-LKPD teaching materials obtained an average percentage of 94.32% in the very good category. The conclusions of the results in this study have indicated that the developed E-LKPD was declared feasible by a team of experts and have received a positive response from students to be continued in a large-scale trial to evaluate the effectiveness of the product.
