Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that the application of this material has not been fully maximized and optimal, especially in science learning. And also students still have a lot of difficulties understanding learning material and solving problems a given problem, because in teaching and learning activities the teacher only uses direct learning (lectures) and is only fixated on textbooks. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the card sort strategy in learning science in class IV SD Muhammadiyah 10 Palembang. In this study using experimental research methods. Experimental research "To experiment is to try, to look for, to confirm" means to try, seek and confirm. The researcher concludes that learning the card sort strategy is a learning model that is very suitable to be applied because it can invite students to play an active and creative role in the learning process. the control taught using the conventional model was 67.50 and the average posttest score of the experimental class taught using the card sort learning strategy was 70.00 with a difference of 4.5. This shows that the posttest average score of the experimental class taught using the card sort strategy in science learning is higher than the average value of the control class taught using the conventional model. Thus it can be concluded that there is a significant effectiveness of the card sort strategy in science learning for CLASS IV SD Muhammadiyah 10 Palembang on the material of style and motion.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of limited face-to-face learning on the beginning reading ability of class II students at SDN 98 Palembang. This research method uses qualitative, with the research informants being teachers and grade II students at SD Negeri 98 Palembang. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques using qualitative analysis. Based on the results of research and discussion on the impact of PTMT (Limited Face-to-Face Learning) on ​​the beginning reading skills of class II students of SDN 98 Palembang, it can be concluded that PTMT (Limited Face-to-Face Learning) has a positive impact on the beginning reading ability of class II students of SDN 98 Palembang. This is evidenced by students being able to read even though they are still spelling, students have a happy feeling doing limited face-to-face learning compared to online learning. The results of the preliminary reading test showed that 11 students had scored 7-8. The teacher has also carried out the protocol in limited face-to-face learning, namely dividing students into 2 study groups, each group having 2 learning meetings in one week.

Abstract

College students are a new degree for students who have just graduated from high school and are studying in college. New students will live their new lives and be faced with changes both in the lecture environment and where they live, especially for new students who are wandering. In this case, the freshman needs to adjust to be able to live comfortably without pressure in his new environment. . New students need help adjusting to the new environment and world of study. Such assistance can be in the form of social support. The existence of assistance in the form of social support in the process of self-adjustment affects the mental health of new students. This study was conducted to determine the relationship between social support and self-adjustment in wandering freshmen and their effect on mental health.
