<![CDATA[This quasi experimental research aimed to know the effectiveness of cooperative learning of TGT type viewed by student’s mathematical conceptual understanding. The population of this research was grade 7th students of junior high school state of 8 Bandarlampung in academic year of 2013/2014. The samples of this research were students of VII-E and VII-F class that were determined by purposive sampling technique. The design of this research was post-test only control design. Based on the result of data analysis, it was concluded that the cooperative learning model of TGT type was ineffective viewed by student’s mathematical conceptual understanding of grade 7th students of junior high school state of 8 Bandarlampung in academic years of 2013/2014.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMPN 8 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-E dan VII F yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Desain penelitian ini adalah post-test only control design. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT tidak efektif ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas VII SMPN 8 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2013/2014.
