Abstract

Kehadiran pemimpin dalam penyelenggaraan organisasi merupakan aspek yang sangat menentukan. Kegagalan dan keberhasilan lembaga sangat bergantung pada kepiawaian pemimpin dalam mengatur irama organisasi, melakukan inovasi, dan menguatkan visi. Lembaga pendidikan yang saat ini tidak lagi murni non profit, juga mendapatkan tuntutan yang sama dalam kepemimpinan. Tinjauan ini menarik dibawa dalam mengkaji keberadaan sekolah-sekolah pinggiran di Kota Kendari, salah satunya di Yayasan Al Muhajirin, Baruga. Yayasan ini bergulat dalam persaingan antar sekolah yang sangat ketat, namun dengan kondisi sumber daya yang sangat terbatas. Hasilnya, sekolah ini hanya menjadi pelabuhan masyarakat pinggiran. Kata Kunci: Sekolah Daerah Pinggiran, Kepemimpinan Krisis Abstract            The presence of leaders in organizing the organization is a very decisive aspect. The failure and success of the institution is very dependent on the expertise of the leader in managing the rhythm of the organization, innovating, and strengthening the vision. Educational institutions that are currently not purely non-profit, also get the same demands in leadership. This interesting review was taken in reviewing the existence of suburban schools in Kendari City, one of which was at the Al Muhajirin Foundation, Baruga. This foundation is struggling in a very tight competition between schools, but with very limited resources. Abstract

This paper aims to provide an overview of: 1) leadership practices in Madrasah Al-Khairat Kendek, Banggai Laut; 2) management practices at Madrasah Al-Khairat Kendek, Banggai Laut; 3) Leadership strategy in managing of Madrasah Al-Khairat Kendek, Banggai Laut. The research uses descriptive qualitative research, where the data collection process is carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Data analysis is performed through the stages of reduction, display, and data verification. Testing the validity of the data is done through a process of triangulation, extension of observation and increased perseverance. The results showed that the leadership practices in Madrasah Al-Khairat Kendek were charismatic-transformational leadership, where the development of madrassas relied heavily on leadership figures. In terms of management, Madrasah Al-Khairat has implemented management functions which include planning, organizing, implementing and monitoring. While the leadership strategy in managing madrasas can be seen in the formulation of the vision and mission of Madrasah Al-Khairat Kendek. Keywords: Leadership, Management, Madrasah

Abstract

This article aims to explore the education of local culture-based leadership in the Tolaki community, which includes: 1) the origins of Tolaki culture; 2) the noble values shared by the Tolaki people; 3) Pu'utobu as an actor in the traditional leadership practices of the Tolaki people; 4) Tolaki's culture-based leadership education process. To explore these four aspects, a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods is used. Data collection uses in-depth interview techniques, involved observations, and document studies. The collected data is analyzed through domain analysis, taxonomic analysis, componential analysis, and cultural theme analysis. To guarantee the validity of the data, an extension of observation is carried out, increased perseverance, and triangulation. The results showed that Tolaki culture has a closeness to cultures in Indonesia, both because of its origins and cultural contact. Therefore Tolaki culture contains noble values that are universal, can be accepted and practiced by various groups of people. In the context of leadership, traditional leadership practices are played by Pu'utobu, in customary matters. The challenge is that the traditional leadership education of the Tolaki people is not well institutionalized.Keywords: Traditional Leadership Education, Tolaki Culture

Abstract

Dinamika kepemimpinan pada lembaga pendidikan sejatinya berjalan beriringan dengan perkembangan-perkembangan eksternal. Respons yang tinggi terhadap perubahan-perubahan lingkungan menyebabkan organisasi melakukan adaptasi dan melakukan percepatan-percepatan. Sebaliknya, respon yang rendah terhadap fenomena luar lembaga pendidikan menyebabkan perlambatan. Pemimpin selalu memegang peran kunci dalam setiap peristiwa keorganisasian. Pemimpin dituntut untuk memiliki kepekaan yang tinggi terhadap masalah-masalah yang dihadapi lembaganya. Tulisan ini bertujuan memberi gambaran konseptual tentang kepemimpinan yang dibutuhkan lembaga pendidikan dalam menghadapi perubahan yang sangat cepat. Melalui telaah pustaka ditemukan bahwa kepemimpinan krisis merupakan kompetensi yang mesti dimiliki oleh lembaga pendidikan. Kemampuan organisasi dalam melalui transisi maupun transformasi sangat ditentukan oleh kompetensi ini. Pemimpin yang peka terhadap krisis telah menyadari lebih awal tentang berbagai potensi yang dapat mengganggu aktifitas organisasi. Karenanya mereka memiliki perkiraan-perkiraan sebelum krisis tiba, menyiapkan diri untuk melakukan pengelolaan lembaga pada masa krisis, dan melakukan perbaikan-perbaikan, serta pengembangan-pengembangan setelah krisis berlalu. Siklus ini akan terus berjalan di tangan seorang pemimpin krisis, sehingga lembaga pendidikan dapat terus menyesuaikan diri di tengah gerak perubahan yang sangat cepat. Abstract

The problem studied in this research is whether self-efficacy has direct effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior. The research method was done by using quantitative approach through survey method by collecting data through research instrument, and spreading questionnaire to the employee which the result then processed through SPSS program to know the influence between variables. The population in this study amounted to 103 people and a sample of 82 employees and lecturers who received additional duties as structural officials IAIN Kendari. Based on the results of this study, it is found that there is a direct positive effect of self-efficacy on IAIN Kendari organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) of 0.471 or self-efficacy had an effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) IAIN employees Kendari with 47.1%. Therefore, it is concluded that empowerment and self-efficacy have a direct positive and significant impact on IAIN Kendari Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB).

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of the school committee in realizing the strategic plan at SMA Negeri 1 Tongkuno. The dimensions that are in the spotlight are: 1) the direction of development of SMAN 1 Tongkuno; 2) The role of the school committee in realizing the strategic plan at SMAN 1 Tongkuno. The research was conducted qualitatively with a descriptive approach, where research data were presented in a narrative manner as a series of systematic and meaningful events. The results show that the direction of development of SMAN 1 Tongkuno is to foster students who have the required scientific capacity, coupled with a relevant curriculum and effective school management, based on strong religious principles. The role of the school committee in realizing the school's strategic plan is carried out in the form of giving consideration, supporting school policies and programs, liaising schools with the community, and carrying out supervision.Keywords:     School Committee, Vision and Mission, Strategic Plan, Education QualityPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran komite sekolah dalam mewujudkan rencana strategis di SMA Negeri 1 Tongkuno. Penelitian dilakukan secara kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, dimana data penelitian disajikan secara naratif sebagai rangkaian peristiwa yang sistematik dan memiliki makna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa  arah pengembangan SMAN 1 Tongkuno adalah pada pembinaan peserta didik yang memiliki kapasitas keilmuan yang dibutuhkan, dibarengi dengan kurikulum yang relevan dan pengelolaan sekolah yang efektif, dilandasi oleh prinsip keagamaan yang kuat. Peran komite sekolah dalam mewujudkan rencana strategis sekolah dijalankan dalam bentuk memberi pertimbangan, mendukung kebijakan dan program sekolah, penghubung sekolah dengan masyarakat, dan melakukan pengawasan.Kata Kunci:   Komite Sekolah, Visi dan Misi, Rencana Strategis, Kualitas Pendidikan

Abstract

This study aims to examine the tradition of volunteerism in Pondok Modern Gontor 7 Putera Southeast Sulawesi, which includes basic values developed in building the tradition of volunteerism and Pondok Modern Gontor 7 Putera efforts to encourage his citizens to produce the best performance. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection is done through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data were analyzed through the stages of reduction, display, and verification. Data validity is tested through member check, triangulation, extended observation, and increased perseverance. The results of this study indicate that voluntary behavior is an application of the values of the five souls which are sincerity, simplicity, independence, ukhuwah Islamiyah, freedom, which is the basis in carrying out self-service and self-giving attitude. In improving performance, leaders motivate implementing the concept of five souls as the main reference in carrying out their duties and responsibilities, including in the application of management functions.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the Strategy of the Head of Administration in Improving the Performance of Education Personnel at SMP N 10 Konawe Selatan. This study uses qualitative research. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis through the process of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions as well as data validity techniques through data triangulation (technique, source and time), extending observations, and conducting Member checks. The results showed that: 1) The performance of teaching staff at SMP N 10 Konawe Selatan quite good in terms of Skp, increased archiving, and can complete work according to their responsibilities. 2) The strategy of the head of administration is to first carry out disciplinary coaching by making absences to be initialed during arrival and return hours, then providing motivation, giving awards, understanding a comfortable working atmosphere, including training and evaluations which are held at the end of each year.Keywords:     Head of Administration Strategy, Performance of Education Personnel

Abstract

This study aims to determine the principal’s roles as efforts in improving the quality of education at one of the public elementary schools in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi. Data collection was carried out in the form of interviews, observation and documentation using a qualitative research design. Analysis of research data consisted of data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The data validity test was carried out through observation and triangulation techniques. The results of the study show that the role of school principals in improving the quality of learning in schools has been maximized starting from efforts to increase teacher professionalism, including by providing training, conducting teacher assessments and evaluations, conducting individual and group coaching (joint meetings) and establishing good cooperative relations in between teachers, students and the entire school community in general. In addition, facilities and infrastructure are increasingly being improved to fulfill the main needs of schools that support the quality of learning.Keywords: Principal’s roles, education quality, elementary school

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the role of administration in improving school administration services. The research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Konawe Selatan, using a qualitative research type with a narrative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The technique of checking the validity of the data was carried out using the triangulation method (source, technique, and time). The results showed: 1) Administrative services at SMA Negeri 1 Konawe Selatan include curriculum administration services, student administration services, public relations administration services and facilities and infrastructure administration services. 2) Administration plays an important role in providing curriculum administration services, facilities and infrastructure administration services, public relations administration services, and student administration services.Keywords:     Administrative Governance, School Administration Services
