Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between motivation and task complexity on performance. Monetary incentives are involved in this study as a moderating variable. The motivation examined in this research is intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. A 2x2 quasi-experiment has been conducted and involving 66 university students. Two and three-way ANOVA are used for hypothetical testing. The result shows that individuals with intrinsic motivation have shown better performance than those with extrinsic motivation. After individuals have faced more complex tasks, they achieved lower scores than those who faced less complex tasks. Prior studies suggested that motivation could be destructed by monetary incentives. However, there is no interaction proof when moderating variable is involved. The relationship between motivation and performance is not influenced by monetary incentives. In line with it, the relationship between task complexity and performance is also not strengthened or weakened by the given monetary incentives information. Thus, monetary incentives failed to influence the relationship between motivation, task complexity and performance.

Abstract

The stages in an individual's moral development will determine how an individual will behave. Kohlberg divides moral development into three stages, namely pre-conventional, conventional and post-conventional. However, the stages of individual moral development may vary. These different levels of moral development will influence individuals’ behavior when they face ethical dilemmas. This research aimed to determine the correlation between accounting students’ moral development and narcissism on academic fraud. This quantitative research employed a survey method. The research samples were 46 accounting students taken with a random sampling method. The results showed that narcissism affects accounting students’ academic fraud but there is no correlation between the level of moral development and academic fraud.

Abstract

Sedangkan melalui penggunaan “Ring Maker Mechine” hanya membutuhkan waktu 5 menit saja. Kata Kunci : alen-alen, jajanan, khas trenggalek, ring maker mechine Abstract The purpose of this activity is to increase the production of alen-alen which is a typical Trenggalek snack through training, introduction, and grants for Appropriate Technology (TTG) in the form of "Ring Maker Mechine". This machine functions to form alen-alen dough in the shape of a ring which has been done manually and conventionally, so the production process is very limited because it requires a lot of time and labor. The service method is carried out through socialization, training, and assistance in the processing of alen-alen using the "Ring Maker Mechine", and donating this tool to one of the selected craftsmen. The results of this copyrighted work and training show that there are differences in the production capacity of the alen-alen produced. Using conventional techniques (hand craftsmanship), printing 1 kg of alene material takes 35 minutes. Meanwhile, using the "Ring Maker Mechine" only takes 5 minutes. Food safety is also more secure, more hygienic because it does not touch too much with the workers' hands. This appropriate technology can also be used as a technology prototype for other alen-alen entrepreneurs, according to the statement of the head of the Trenggalek UMKM who will submit a budget to the Trenggalek regional government to submit subsidies for similar tools to craftsmen in stages so that the superior snacks can reach a wider marketing . Keywords: alen-alen, snacks, typical trenggalek, ring maker mechine

Abstract

Indonesia is the second largest contributor to plastic waste after China. Despite the regulation, waste management in Indonesia has not met the standards of waste management that are environmentally sound. This forfeits the benefits of the waste management itself and brings negative impacts on public health and environment. This condition is aggravated by the costly access towards health facility. For this reason, socialization regarding waste management is needed. In addition, this program is equipped with an introduction towards waste bank and waste insurance as a practical solution. The existence of both options are expected to solve the problem of waste and health services for the community. The program aimed to help residents of RW 014 Kelurahan Tulusrejo, Malang City to comprehend the types of waste, separation of waste by category, impact on health, recycling and other details. The meetings were carried out twice from March to October 2020. The result of the agenda is that the residents continue to process waste using composter and are expected to form an independent waste bank management for local residents. Further, they are encouraged to learn more about waste insurance to manage the local waste in a more environment friendly manner.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of structural capital, working capital management, and earnings management on financial distress. The data used comes from the annual reports of retail companies, which were selected using the purposive sampling method. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to test the hypothesis. The results of the study indicate that earnings management has no effect on financial distress, but structural capital and working capital management have a positive effect on financial distress. These results support the resource-based theory, which states that company resources are unique and essential to achieving sustainable competitive advantage so that companies can identify key resources, innovation, differentiation through unique resources, and company reputation. However, if not done correctly, it will increase costs and bring the company into a state of distress. Further research is also expected to elaborate several theories that can support the results of the study. The results of this study can provide insight for companies in designing strategies to manage resources efficiently, reduce the risk of financial distress, and improve financial performance
