Abstract

AbstrakTingginya penetrasi telepon pintar di Indonesia, yang mencapai 194,26 juta pengguna atau sekitar 89% dari total populasi, berdampak langsung pada meningkatnya akses terhadap internet, termasuk oleh anak-anak. Sayangnya, tingginya akses ini belum diimbangi dengan regulasi batas usia maupun kesadaran orang tua terhadap dampak negatif konten digital yang tidak layak, seperti kekerasan, pornografi, dan ujaran kebencian. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, tim pengabdi melakukan kegiatan penyuluhan kepada orang tua di Posyandu Desa Labuy, Kabupaten Aceh Besar, mengenai dampak negatif internet serta pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi parental control untuk menyaring konten dan membatasi akses anak terhadap internet. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan peran serta orang tua dalam mengawasi penggunaan gawai oleh anak, serta membentuk lingkungan digital yang lebih aman dan ramah anak. Kata kunci: pengabdian masyarakat, parental control, konten internetAbstract The high penetration of smartphones in Indonesia, which has reached 194.26 million users or around 89% of the total population, has had a direct impact on increasing access to the internet, including by children. Unfortunately, this high access has not been balanced by age limit regulations or parental awareness of the negative impacts of inappropriate digital content, such as violence, pornography, and hate speech. To overcome this problem, the community service team conducted outreach activities for parents at the Labuy Village Integrated Health Post, Aceh Besar Regency, regarding the negative impacts of the internet as well as training in the use of parental control applications to filter content and limit children's access to the internet. This activity aims to increase the role of parents in supervising their children's use of gadgets, as well as creating a safer and more child-friendly digital environment.Keywords: community service, parental control, internet content

Abstract

Pengembangan teknologi serat optik telah menjadi salah satu aspek kunci dalam industri telekomunikasi dan jaringan informasi. Meskipun pentingnya teknologi ini, banyak sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK) yang belum dilengkapi dengan fasilitas laboratorium serat optik. Padahal 60% dari muatan kurikulam SMK merupakan praktek. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan penyambungan kabel serat optik dianggap penting untuk mempersiapkan siswa SMK dalam menghadapi tuntutan industri yang semakin berkembang. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat, Jurusan Teknik Elektro dan Komputer USK, memberikan pelatihan penyambungan kabel serat optik pada siswa SMK Negri I Banda Aceh. Pelatihan ini diadakan sebagai solusi atas keterbatasan fasilitas praktik di sekolah dan ditujukan untuk mempersiapkan siswa SMK menghadapi tuntutan industri yang semakin meningkat dalam bidang ini. Pelatihan melibatkan pendekatan teori dan praktik, dengan menggunakan peralatan yang disediakan oleh tim pelatih. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa metode ini efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan praktis siswa dalam menyambung kabel serat optik. Pelatihan semacam ini dapat menjadi alternatif bagi sekolah-sekolah yang tidak memiliki fasilitas laboratorium untuk menyediakan pelatihan serat optik kepada siswa.

Abstract

Maintaining the temperature and pH of water in fish farming is important to maintain the survival of the commodities being cultivated. Snakehead fish as one of the freshwater fish cultivation commodities, live in a temperature range of 25° to 32°C, and a pH of 4,5 to 6. Changes in temperature and pH due to  differences in day and night and weather conditions can be mortal for the fish. To help the fish farmers maintain water quality, in this research a prototype of IoT based temperature and pH monitor and control was built using Arduino microcontroller, that  can be accessed through a mobile application on Android smartphone. The test results show that the prototype has successfully control the temperature by turning the heater on when it dropped below 25°C, turned the acid solution pump on when the pH felt below 4.5, and alkaline solution pump when pH was above 6. Continuous sensor readings are able to  maintain the stability of water quality.

Abstract

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a complex neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by difficulties in social interaction, communication, and repetitive behavioral patterns. Early detection of ASD is crucial for improving the quality of life of affected individuals and alleviating the burden on their families. This study proposes a computer-aided diagnostic system for ASD by applying a pre-trained Vision Transformer (ViT-B/16) architecture to EEG signal data obtained from King Abdul Aziz University. The dataset comprises EEG recordings from 16 subjects (8 normal and 8 ASD) that have undergone preprocessing—including filtering using the Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT), segmentation (windowing), and conversion into heatmap representations—and were subsequently partitioned into training, validation, and testing subsets. The ViT model was trained for 100 epochs with a batch size of 16, using the AdamW optimizer and the CrossEntropy loss function, while two learning rate configurations (0.0001 and 0.00001) were evaluated; the best-performing weights were selected based on the lowest validation loss. Test results indicate that the model trained with a learning rate of 0.00001 achieved a testing accuracy of 99.53%, accompanied by excellent precision, specificity, recall, and f1-score, thereby demonstrating strong generalization capabilities and minimal overfitting. Future research is recommended to incorporate locally sourced datasets and to further customize the ViT architecture through comprehensive hyperparameter tuning, with the aim of developing a mobile application to support clinical ASD diagnosis.

Abstract

Air bersih merupakan kebutuhan dasar yang penting bagi kesehatan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat, terutama di wilayah pesisir terpencil yang sering menghadapi keterbatasan pasokan air layak konsumsi. Desa Lampuyang, Pulau Aceh, Kabupaten Aceh Besar, menjadi salah satu wilayah yang masih bergantung pada air hujan dan pasokan dari daratan utama. Melalui programPuleh Tech Innovation, timSocial Enterprise Puleh IndonesiabersamaIndonesian Center of Literacymelaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dengan mengimplementasikan teknologiSolar Dual System Distiller(SOLDUSTIL), yaitu alat distilasi air laut berbasisParabolic Heat Concentrator(PHC) danPhotovoltaic(PV) yang dikendalikan melalui sistemInternet of Things(IoT). Kegiatan ini melibatkan partisipasi aktif masyarakat, khususnya kelompok perempuan, dalam pelatihan penggunaan dan perawatan alat. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan peningkatan efisiensi pemanasan hingga 28.3% dibanding sistem tunggal, dengan kapasitas produksi rata-rata 3 liter air tawar per hari per unit, serta menurunkan ketergantungan masyarakat terhadap pasokan air dari daratan hingga 50%. Program ini berhasil meningkatkan kemandirian masyarakat, efisiensi energi, dan mendukung pencapaianSustainable Development Goals(SDGs) poin 6, 7, 9, dan 13.
