Abstract

This study aims to investigate the determinants of the success of the tourism business in coastal areas and small islands. This type of research is an exsplanatory study. The number of samples analyzed was 137 respondents, the sample selection in this study, using simple random sampling technique. Data analysis used descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The findings of this study explain that, the entrepreneurial characteristics indicated in terms of, characteristics of faith, self-confidence, courageous, independent, persevering, aggressive, applicative, and open communication are proven to influence the success of the tourism business. This study reveals the findings that the level of education in terms of formal education, suitability of science and non-formal education has no real influence on the success of the tourism business. The results of the research prove that the characteristics of the business in terms of business origin, length of business, business scale, and characteristics of business operations have a positive effect on business success. The results also prove that entrepreneurial characteristics, education level and business characteristics influence simultaneously as a determinant of the success of tourism business in coastal areas and small islands.

Abstract

Salah satu kompenen dalam Tridhrama Perguruan Tinggi yaitu pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Setiap dosen wajib untuk melakukan kegiatan pengabdian sebagai wujud dari tindakan nyata mentransfer ilmu pengetahuan ditengah masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan oleh dosen fakultas ekonomi UKIM di Desa Hatiwe Kecil adalah Penguatan Usaha Melalui Pelatihan Pembukuan dan Pemasaran Produk Ikan Asar Desa Hative Kecil Kota Ambon. Ikan asar Desa Hative Kecil sudah terkenal sejak dulu. Ikan asar merupakan makanan pokok yang sehat dan bergizi juga dipakai sebagai ole-ole ketika pergi keluar Ambon. Usaha ikan asar hative kecil ini merupakan usaha kecil yang dikelola oleh rumah tangga. Saat ini, Usaha Kecil Menengah (UKM) merupakan pelaku ekonomi terbesar indonesia sehingga perlu dikembangkan. Demikian halnya dengan usaha Ikan asar Desa Hative Kecil Kecamatan Sirimau Kota Ambon apalagi pada masa pandemi ini, pendapatan usaha mulai menurun sehingga dibutuhkan strategi untuk mempertahankan penjualan. Hal ini disebabkan kurangnya pengetahuan pemasaran dan keuangan pelaku usaha ikan asar kota Ambon. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu meningkatkan pengetahuan pemasaran melalui promosi baik secara offline maupun online juga pengetahuan pencatatan keuangan yang benar. Hasil kegiatan PKM ini yaitu pelaku usaha memiliki laporan keuangan sederhana bagi UKM dan memiliki pengetahuan promosi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to conduct empirical evidence of the influence of emotional intelligence and entrepreneurial potential on the success of the Toraja Ethnic entrepreneurship. This type of research is an exsplanatory study, the analytical approach in research is quantitative research, model of this research is survey research. The unit of analysis in this study is the Toraja Ethnic entrepreneur who has a business activity in Ambon City. Time horizon of one stage research (cross sectional), data collection using survey methods using questionnaire instruments. Determination of the sample using non-probability sampling methods, sample selection in this study uses judgment sampling sampling techniques. The sampling criteria are as follows: 1) Respondents are Toraja Ethnic entrepreneurs, 2) Respondents are Toraja Ethnic entrepreneurs who carry out micro, small and medium-scale business activities in the Ambon City area for a minimum of 5 years. 3) Respondents are ethnic Toraja entrepreneurs who conduct business activities independently, or not in the form of joint ventures. The type of data in this study is primary data. The number of samples analyzed in this study 160 sample units. Data analysis techniques used inferential statistical analysis (multiple regression). The results of multiple linear regression analysis prove that emotional intelligence and entrepreneurial potential have a positive effect on the success of ethnic Toraja entrepreneurship in Ambon City. The results of this study explain the relationship of emotional intelligence with entrepreneurial potential as a combination of psychological aspects of entrepreneur and entrepreneurial aspects that are determinants of entrepreneurial success. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan, (1) menguji pengaruh sifat materialisme terhadap pembelian impulsif online. (2) Menguji efek moderasi kontrol diri pada hubungan sifat materialisme terhadap pembelian impulsif online. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan riset causal. Unit analisis pada penelitian ini adalah individu dosen Universitas Kristen Indonesia Maluku (UKIM) selaku konsumen online shopping yang pernah melakukan pembelian impulsif secara online. Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode nonprobabilitas, pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Penentuan sampel berdasarkan pertimbangan (judgment sampling), dengan kriteria yakni, (1) dosen tetap Universitas Kristen Indonesia Maluku (UKIM), dan (2) dosen yang pernah melakukan pembelian impulsif secara online. Jumlah sampel yang dianalisis dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 48 orang. Analisis data menggunakan metode statistik Moderated Regression Analysis. Hasil penelitian membuktikan Sifat materialisme berpengaruh terhadap pembelian impulsif online. Sifat dosen UKIM selaku konsumen yang menekankan nilai pada materi, mementingkan diri sendiri, ingin memiliki banyak barang, dan merasa kepemilikikan tidak membuat bahagia meningkat, maka perilaku pembelian tampa berpikir akibat, pembelian spontan, pembelian terburu-buru, dan pembelian dipengaruhi keadaan emosional akan meningkat. Konsumen yang memiliki sifat materialisme tergolong konsumen berusia muda serta memiliki kecenderungan interaksi dengan media sosial yang tinggi berpotensi melakukan belanja impulsive secara online. Penelitian ini membuktikan Dampak moderasi kontrol diri sebagai pengontrol sifat konsumen dalam hal penilaian barang berdasarkan simbolik barang, status sosial, membangun status sosial dari pembelian suatu barang, serta prestise secara berlebihan. Dampak moderasi kontrol diri terbukti berkontribusi pada pengaruh sifat materialisme terhadap pembelian impulsif online. Kata kunci : Sifat materialisme, kontrol diri, pembelian impulsif online. Abstract This study aims to (1) examine the effect of materialism on impulsive online purchases. (2) To examine the moderating effect of self-control on the relationship between materialism and impulsive online purchases. This type of research is a causal research. The unit of analysis in this study is an individual lecturer at the Indonesian Christian University of Maluku (UKIM) as online shopping consumers who have made impulsive purchases online. The sampling method using nonprobability method, sampling using purposive sampling technique. Determination of the sample based on judgment (judgment sampling), with the criteria namely, (1) permanent lecturers at the Indonesian Christian University of Maluku (UKIM), and (2) lecturers who have made impulsive purchases online. The number of samples analyzed in this study were 48 people. Data analysis used the statistical method of Moderated Regression Analysis. The results of the study prove that materialism affects impulsive online purchases. The nature of UKIM lecturers as consumers who emphasize the value of material, are selfish, want to have a lot of goods, and feel that ownership does not increase happiness, so the buying behavior without thinking results, spontaneous purchases, rush purchases, and emotional purchases will increase . Consumers who have materialistic characteristics are classified as young consumers and have a high tendency to interact with social media with the potential to do impulsive shopping online. This study proves the impact of moderation of self-control as a control for consumer behavior in terms of valuing goods based on symbolic goods, social status, building social status from purchasing an item, and excessive prestige. The impact of self-control moderation has been shown to contribute to the influence of materialism on impulsive online purchases. Keywords: Materialism, self-control, online impulsive buying.

Abstract

The absence of market and product innovation of buah salak merah are important problems faced by the farming community in Riring Village. Moreover, there has been no government attention in empowering this local product. For this reason, the research was conducted to design a development model and branding strategy of buah salak merah. Data were analyzed using a qualitative approach which consisted of three activities that occurred simultaneously, namely: reducing data, presenting data and conclusions. Data were obtained from experts, namely farmers and government. The implication of this research is to produce the elaboration model between farmers and the government to increase the innovation of development and Branding Strategy based on Local Wisdom. The result indicates Farmers need knowledge, skills, processing equipment, market and the attention of the Riring Village Government and SBB District Government to develop buah salak merah.
