Abstract

Background: Invasive therapy is an unpleasant process especially for children, due to its pain effect. Poor awareness on pain and trauma in children for a long period may cause disadvantage in children's growth and development. One of the non pharmacological pain relief managements in children is glucose intake or other sugar substitutes such as honey which consists of flavonoid to relieve pain. Objective: To identify the influence of honey application on pain response in school-aged children during invasive intervention in Wates Regional General Hospital of Kulon Progo. Method: This study was quasy experiment with post-test and non equivalent control group design. Statistical test applied non-parametric test of Mann Whitney with significance level of a=0,05. Samples were selected through purposive sampling technique, consisted of 34 respondents. The study used pure (100%) honey. Five mililiter of honey was administered two minutes prior to invasive intervention. Result: The result figured out p-value of 0.001 (p<0.05) which indicated that there was an influence of honey application on pain response in school-aged children during invasive intervention in Wates Regional General Hospital of Kulon Progo. Conclusion: Honey had an influence on relieving pain during the invasive intervention in school-aged children. Keywords: Invasive intervention, Pain level, Honey

Abstract

Background: Pregnancy exercise movement contains a relaxing effect that could stabilize emotionally pregnant women. In women who do pregnancy exercise, delivery is faster than pregnant women who do not do pregnancy exercises. Pregnant exercise, is very important for pregnant women, because it could reduce discomfort during pregnancy and facilitate the delivery process. Attitudes and practices were important components that pregnant women must have in carrying out pregnancy exercises. there were several factors that influence the attitude of pregnant women to pregnancy exercise including knowledge of the woman. Objectives: The aim of this study were to identify the association between knowledge with the attitude of pregnant women to pregnancy exercise. Methods: The study were used quantitative research design with a cross-sectional study approach. Samples were taken by purposive sampling technique, namely 36 pregnant women who carried out antenatal care at the Srandakan Health Center. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The results of the study were analyzed using the chi-square analysis. Results: Most mothers also had good knowledge as much as 69.4%. While the mother's attitude about pregnancy exercise mostly supports as much as 52.8%. The chi-square test results obtained p values=0,191 (> 0.05). Conclusions: There were no association between knowledge with the attitude of pregnant women to pregnancy exercise at the Srandakan Health Center.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Persaingan antar saudara kandung biasa terjadi pada anak usia balita dan usia sekolah, tidak menutup kemungkinan berlanjut hingga dewasa jika orangtua tidak segera mengatasinya. Persaingan antar saudara pada usia remaja hingga dewasa terjadi akibat tidak tuntasnya orangtua dalam menyelesaikan atau mengatasi persaingan antar saudara kandung pada masa kanak-kanaknya. Sehingga rasa persaingan dan permusuhan terus berlanjut. Masa remaja merupakan masa transisi seseorang dari anak-anak menjadi dewasa, dan pada masa tersebut remaja mulai menunjukkan jati dirinya dengan menunjukkan perilaku yang bermacam-macam, salah satunya adalah perilaku menyimpang yaitu perilaku bullying. Penelitiian Wiyani (2012) menunjukan kekerasan di SMP di tiga kota besar yaitu Yogyakarta 77,5%, Surabaya 59,8%, dan Jakarta 61,1%. Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan jumlah saudara dengan perilaku bullying remaja di SMP N 3 Gamping Sleman. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif non eksperimental, dengan menggunakan pendekatan cross-sectional dengan menggunakan teknik startified random sampling. Subjek penelitian ini sebanyak 130 responden sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi dan kriteria eksklusi. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis statistik inferensial menggunakan uji Chi Square dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95% (α= 0,05). Hasil: Berdasarkan penelitian diperoleh data mengenai jumlah saudara lebih dari 2 sebanyak 73 (56,2%). Perilaku bullying remaja di SMPN 3 Gamping Sleman kategori sedang sebanyak 93 (71,5%). Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara jumlah saudara dengan perilaku bullying remaja di SMPN 3 Gamping Sleman dengan p value 0,001 (p value < 0,05) dengan Keeratan sebesar 0,392 yang berarti rendah. Kesimpulan: Ada hubungan yang signifikan antara jumlah saudara dengan perilaku bullying remaja di SMPN 3 Gamping Sleman.

Abstract

ABSTRAK : Isu pelecehan dan kekerasan seksual pada anak yang bersekolah dengan basis asrama dilaporkan mengalami peningkatan. Pelecehan seksual di asrama dapat meliputi sodomi, meraba bagian tubuh bahkan hingga pemerkosaan berkedok kegiatan spiritual. Hal ini disebabkan faktor budaya hirarki dan maskulinitas yang terlalu kuat ditambah rendahnya pemahaman anak mengenai praktik pelecehan seksual. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masayarakt ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan siswa dalam melakukan pencegahan kekerasan seksual khususnya saat mereka berada di asrama. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 19 orang anak usia sekolah dasar di Rumah Belajar Ummu Yasmin yang bersekolah di asrama. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi ceramah, pemutaran video dan permainan ular tangga. Kegiatan ini diawali dengan pre test untuk mengukur pengetahuan awal siswa, dilanjutkan dengan pemberian materi dan evaluasi akhir mengenai materi yang diberikan melalui post test. Setelah edukasi, pengetahuan siswa mengenai pendidikan seksual naik secara signifikan dengan nilai P< 0,05. Aspek pengetahuan yang spesifik yakni pengetahuan mengenai tindakan pencegahan kekerasan seksual dan dampak kekerasan seksual mengalami peningkatan yang jauh lebih siginifikan (P= 0,01). Hal ini berarti edukasi seksual efektif meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa untuk mencegah kekerasan seksual.

Abstract

Violence against children is still a problem faced by the government. As much as 67% of the violence occurred in school-age children. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of sexual health education with the GAVIS method as an effort to prevent sexual violence. In this study, children aged 9-12 years in the intervention group were given sexual health education using the GAVIS method, while the control group received lectures on sexual health and prevention of sexual violence. Data about children's attitudes were collected through filling out a questionnaire, then analyzed using a paired sample t-test. The results of the analysis showed the value of p = 0.003. Furthermore, it was concluded that the sexual health education intervention in the form of the GAVIS method had an effect on the attitudes of school-age children about the prevention of sexual violence.Keywords: sexual violence; school age children; GAVIS method; sexual health education; attitude ABSTRAK Kekerasan pada anak masih menjadi masalah yang dihadapi oleh pemerintah. Sebesar 67% kekerasan anak tersebut terjadi pada anak usia sekolah. Abstract

Background: Pregnant women are a vulnerable group for contracting COVID-19. This vulnerability makes pregnant women experience anxiety. Education is needed to provide information related to COVID-19 and is expected to change the level of anxiety. This study explains how the literature regarding changes in the level of anxiety of pregnant women during the COVID-19 pandemic. Objectives: To see the effect of COVID-19 education on the anxiety level of pregnant women. Methods: A systematic review of the literature with a minimum range of 2019, using several databases (Google Scolar, Science Direct, Semantic Scholar and Pubmed). Results: The COVID-19 education process for pregnant women began by giving a questionnaire to see the anxiety of pregnant women, then a COVID-19 educational intervention was carried out using counseling, lectures and tele-education methods on the topic of COVID-19, preparation for pregnancy and childbirth during the COVID-19 pandemic. using the powerpoint method, leaflets and booklets. Then do a posttest intervention to see changes in anxiety levels. After education, it was found that the level of anxiety decreased in all reviewed journals with each decreasing rate of 12.4%, 3.9%, 3.12%, and 5.04%. Conclusion: COVID-19 education carried out on pregnant women can change the level of anxiety to decrease.

Abstract

Background: Child Sexual Abuse was a major global problem widespread in many cities in Indonesia. Komisi Perlindungan Anak Indonesia or Indonesian Children Protection Commission (KPAI) records as many as 1.880 children become victims of sexual abuse activities such as rape, fornication, sodomy and pedophilia. Around 62% of victims experienced this abuse during their elementary school period. However, little is known about the perception and attitude of school children toward this issue in Yogyakarta. Purpose: The aim of this research is to investigate the perception and attitude of school-age children toward sexual health and child sexual abuse prevention program. Method: This was a cross-sectional study and was conducted between June-October 2021 in one elementary school in Bantul, Yogyakarta. The participant of this study was 90 elementary school children aged 6-12 years, which recruited using multistage random sampling. The outcome was measured using a questionnaire and was analyzed. Result : Majority of respondent (84,4%) has positive perception and attitude toward sexual health and child abuse. Most of respondent also has positive perception and attitude on item maintenance the hygiene of reproductive organ (63,3%), preventing sexual abuse by protecting the body from intimate groping (75,6%), refusing stranger approach (66,7%), physical against towards abuse (77,8%), and reporting when sexual abuse exist (82,2%). Conclusion: Respondent has positive perception and attitude toward sexual abuse as implication of good comprehension about sexual abuse

Abstract

Latar belakang:Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertema “Pendidikan Kesehatan tentang Menstruasi dan Permasalahannya sebagai Upaya Meningkatkan Pengetahuan Remaja Sekolah Menengah Pertama tentang Kesehatan Reproduksi. Tujuan : adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan tentang proses menstruasi serta deteksi dini masalah PMS dan dismenore di kalangan remaja putri. Harapan dari pengabdian ini adalah siswi SMP yang telah dan belum mengalami menstruasi mengetahui tentang proses menstruasi dan permasalahan yang sering muncul selama proses menstruasi (PMS dan dismenore), serta mampu melakukan penanganan secara tepat. Metode :Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini direncanakan dalam 3 tahapan yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap evaluasi. Tahap persiapan meliputi pengurusan izin, pengumpulan data awal berupa pengkajian dengan memberikan pretest kepada siswi SMP tentang proses menstruasi dan dismenore, persiapan alat dan bahan, serta koordinasi dengan pihak terkait. Tahap pelaksanaan kegiatan adalah melakukan pendidikan kesehatan tentang proses menstruasi, melakukan skrining kejadian dismenore, melakukan pendidikan kesehatan tentang PMS, dismenore dan penatalaksanaannya, serta pemberian senam dismenore. Tahap evaluasi adalah melakukan posttest terkait dengan proses menstruasi, PMS dan dismenore, dan pembuatan laporan hasil pendidikan kesehatan yang diberikan kepada siswi SMP. Hasil: Dari hasil wawancara dengan 5 orang siswi mengungkapkan bahwa setelah mengikuti pendidikan kesehatan selama 3 kali pertemuan mendapatkan ilmu yang sangat bermanfaat yang belum pernah di dapatkan sebelumnya dan penting untuk dapat dipraktekan pada kehidupan sehari-hari. Kesimpulan: Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi menunjukkan ada peningkatan tingkat pengetahuan remaja putrid tentang menstruasi dan permasalahannya sebesar 70%.

Abstract

Pernikahan dini merupakan masalah serius pada masa remaja, kurangnya pemahaman remaja akibat dari pernikahan dini menjadi faktor utama. Penting untuk menyediakan pendidikan yang efektif, salah satu caranya adalah melalui penggunaan video edukasi. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengetahuan remaja terhadap dampak pernikahan dini melalui media edukasi berupa video. Metode penelitian menggunakan desain pre-experimental study group design, dengan rancangan one group pre-test - post-test. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada bulan Mei 2023 di SMAN 1 Panggang. Populasi penelitian yaitu siswa kelas X, dan XI yang berjumlah 346. Sampel terdiri 86 responden dipilih menggunakan metode probability sampling menggunakan stratified random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis statistik menggunakan uji t-test. Hasil tingkat pengetahuan responden mengenai dampak pernikahan dini sebelum diberi video edukasi mayoritas memiliki pengetahuan cukup sebesar (50%) dengan nilai rata-rata 11,03, sedangkan setelah diberi video edukasi terdapat peningkatan mayoritas responden memiliki tingkat pengetahuan baik sebesar (59,3%) dengan nilai dan rata-rata 11,9. Terdapat pengaruh pemberian video dengan hasil t-test p-value 0,003. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan dan pengaruh pemberian video edukasi terhadap tingkat pengetahuan dampak pernikahan dini di SMAN 1 Panggang.

Abstract

Dysmenorrhea is one of the stiffness or constriction in the lower abdomen that occurs in the run up to menstruation or during menstruation. Dismenorrhea has a huge impact on teenage girls because it causes disturbance of day to day activities. Teenage girls who experience menstrual pain (dismenorrhoea) at the time of menstruation will feel limited in doing activities especially in school activities accompanied by dizziness, nausea, vomiting, fever, even to fainting. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase knowledge related to the prevention and treatment of dysmenorrhea. The target of this community service are the teenagers who lives in the Pondok Pesantren dan Lembaga Kesejahteraan Sosial Anak (Lksa) Bintan Sa’adillah Ar Rosyid Bantul, as many as 19 respondents. The community service activity will take place in April 2023. The methods used in this research are lecture methods, visual audio and posters. To measure the level of students' knowledge about dysmenorrhea and its treatment using questionnaires. The results showed that the respondents that before health education most of the knowledge of respondents related to knowledge about prevention and treatment of dysmenorrhea in the sufficient category 57.9%, and after given education experienced an improvement in good category of 57,9%. So it can be concluded that there was an increase in respondents' knowledge after having completed health education.
