Abstract

The profiles of higher education graduates are generally attached to the name of professions as a description of the competencies that are expected to be achieved after carrying out the study process at higher education. In the digital era where disruption has hit various fields, various types of new professions have also evolved accordingly and had different types and characters from previous decades. However, the graduate profile stated in the curriculum documents has not followed the current professions’ development. With the evolution of the economic era since the 1960s to the 2000s, from the agricultural, industrial, creative, to collaborative economies, creates a need to establish a graduate profile that is in line with future needs. It is impossible for higher education actors to offer back outdated graduate profiles that are not relevant to the times in the future. In this research, various changes in the world were analyzed and the competences and roles of new graduates were laid out. This profile was aimed to prepare graduates to implement their knowledge when entering the new era that needs different characteristics of graduates compared with the previous era. The research approach wastransformative research involving various experts in a participatory manner to define the character of the profession and what roles are needed in the future. The research was conducted in the Faculty of Agricultural Industry Technology, Padjadjaran University and several faculties which emphasized the implementation of the Outcome Based Curriculum. This research produces 6 types of future role characters that can be used as a reference for future roles of Agro-industrial Higher Education graduates.Keywords: disruptions, generation’s characteristics, agroindustrial courses, graduate’s profiles.

Abstract

Transformative education is not negotiable. Along with the changing era, where generation Y and Z havethe character of their generations; they are very different from the previous generation. The various effects ofdigital disruption make it important in presenting transformative education. Transformative means that new waysare needed to ensure that a series of education can provide good outcomes for learning. The current challenges,embedding the character and attitude of statesmanship, critical thinking, and being able to provide creativesolutions to those around them are fundamental to producing superior learners. There are five compulsorysubjects, namely Indonesian, English, Religion, Pancasila, and Citizenship which are often still delivered inconventional ways. In this era, learning is required to produce noble values that are internalized as learners.Besides this, there are contextual things that need to be embedded in these Y and Z generation learners, especiallyin the context of changing times whose challenges are different and lead to sustainable actions that are grown togenerate benefits for their surroundings. This research was conducted with a transformative research approach,developed directly for three years at Padjadjaran University and then titrated three times so that it could producecompulsory course formulations and university characteristics that resulted in learning outcomes in the form ofmastery of values, attitudes, and basic skills needed as fundamental learners in the industrial era 4.0. This researchproduced an elaborative model of compulsory subjects and university characteristics by elaborating oncompulsory substances, skills, and attitudes with learning models designed as a unit to provide a greaterprobability of achieving outcomes.Keywords: Compulsory Courses, Industry 4.0, Generation Z, Transformative Learning

Abstract

Biobriket menjadi salah satu produk yang dapat dihasilkan dari pemanfaatan kayu kaliandra dan limbah teh. Biobriket berbahan dasar kayu dan limbah teh ini merupakan hal baru, karena umumnya biobriket dibuat dari tempurung kelapa. Market testing diperlukan untuk mengetahui respon konsumen terhadap mutu dari biobriket yang dihasilkan. Respon konsumen nantinya digunakan untuk melakukan perancangan mutu biobriket agar dapat diterima konsumen dan memperluas pasar biobriket. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan tools value proposition canvas dalam melakukan analisis respon konsumen untuk selanjutnya  menjadi acuan dalam pembuatan biobriket.

Abstract

Salah satu tantangan pencapaian agenda SDGs ke 2 (Zero Hunger) terkait ketahanan pangan adalah penurunan  populasi lebah yang terjadi hampir di seluruh benua di dunia. Gagasan kegiatan Program Pengabdian Masyarakat (PPM) ini  terkait dengan peran lebah sebagai polinator tanaman terbaik untuk peningkatan produksi pangan. Kegiatan Program Pengabdian Masyarakat (PPM) ini merupakan  bagian dari upaya   Unpad dalam memberikan kontribusi untuk  menangani berbagai krisis lingkungan,  sejalan dengan Pola Ilmiah Pokok (PIP) Universitas Padjadjaran. Pelaksanaan PPM didasarkan pada hasil diskusi awal dengan pemerintah Desa Pamoyanan, Kecamatan Cibinong, Kabupaten Cianjur yang meminta pendampingan untuk mencari alternatif pendapatan masyarakat sesuai dengan  potensi wilayah. Sebagaimana situasi di desa-desa lain di Indonesia, Desa Cibinong yang secara geografis jauh dari ibu kota kabupaten mengalami tekanan ekonomi yang besar selama terjadinya pandemi Covid-19. Produk-produk pertanian dan perkebunan masyarakat sebagian besar sulit dipasarkan dan memiliki nilai ekonomi sangat rendah.  Kegiatan workshop ini diharapkan memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam memulai usaha peternakan lebah sebagai alternatif penambah penghasilan masyarakat di masa pandemik. Lebih jauh lagi pemilihan kegiatan workshop   dapat berimbas pada upaya pelaksanaan pembangunan berkelanjutan di tingkat desa.

Abstract

Pemetaan keunggulan daya saring komparatif dan kompetitif agro-industri dan bisnis halal Indonesia diperlukan untuk menjamin keberhasilan bisnis halal di pasar internasional, terutama di negara-negara anggota ASEAN. Analisis SWOT- kuantitatif digunakan sebagai metode perencanaan strategis dan untuk mengevaluasi kekuatan,kelemahan, peluang dan ancaman yang terjadi pada agroindustri halal eksisting Indonesia. Lima faktor yang dikelompokkan dianalisa dengan dua belas faktor daya saing yang dinilai untuk mengubah keunggulan komparatif menjadi keunggulan kompetitif.  Penilaian dilakukan oleh tujuh belas responden pelaku agroindustri halal nasional yang terdiri atas pengambil kebijakan, industri pakar dan pengamat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Agroindustri halal dapat menjadi altrenatif kebijakan yang sangat baik (skor kekuatan 4,19 dan skor kelemahan -2,25), mengingat kemampuannya melibatkan keterkaitan antara pengembangan industri hulu pertanian, industri hilir pertanian serta jasa-jasa pendukung secara harmonis dan simultan Kata kunci : Analisis SWOT kuantitatif, Halal, Agroindustri, Komparatif, Kompetitif

Abstract

Desa Cisewu berada di Kabupaten Garut bagian selatan. Wilayah ini merupakan bentangalam perbukitan yang tersusun oleh material vulkanik berumur Kuarter. Struktur geologi  berupa kekar dan sesar di kawasan tersebut menambah risiko lahan bersifat labil. Oleh karena itu wajar jika kawasan tersebut rawan gerakan tanah. Populasi penduduk berkembang pesat mengingat wilayah ini strategis. Apalagi wilayah Cisewu merupakan penghubung, antara Jawa Barat bagian tengah dan selatan. Sebagian masyarakat Desa Cisewu telah berulang kali mengalami kerugian akibat bencana longsor. Relokasi warga hampir sulit dilakukan, mengingat budaya masyarakat setempat yang sulit meninggalkan tanah leluhur. Masyarakat Desa Cisewu perlu diberdayakan agar mampu berdikari serta tanggap terhadap darurat bencana gerakan tanah. Pemberdayaan masyarakat dapat dilakukan dengan cara memberikan berbagai pelatihan dan pendampingan dengan metode yang mudah dipahami. Pemahaman wilayah yang labil bisa disisipkan pada berbagai kegiatan dalam rangka pemberdayaan masyarakat. Sosialisasi beragam fenomena alam terkait kebencanaan perlu dilakukan dengan bahasa yang sederhana dan sesuai dengan tingkat pendidikan masyarakat setempat. Di sisi lain, masalah konservasi kawasan rawan bahaya alam juga perlu disosialisasikan. Target masyarakat dapat dikelompokkan berdasarkan usia dan latar belakang pendidikan. Pengembangan usaha berbasis potensi lokal perlu mendapat perhatian khusus. Potensi lokal ini perlu mendapat pendampingan untuk dapat bersaing dengan produk unggulan di daerah lainnya.

Abstract

The design of business models at startup companies engaged in the field of technology is needed, this aims to introduce the values of the company and product on the consumer and the public so that have added value and the marketability can compete. This research aims to develop a business model for the validation of the Phebee Lip balm using a business model canvas. The research was done by designing business models in accordance with the literature and case studies are needed, then the business model validated to respondents contained on each column business model canvas. The results suggested that the company is Phebee Lip balm must continue to make improvements to introduce the values of products to consumers and communities, namely local lip balm products, natural lip balm is made from natural ingredients and it is safe to use and has no side effects. Abstract

ABSTRACTLembang Vocational Training Center (Balai Latihan Kerja/BLK Lembang) is a government vocational training institution in charge of organizing vocational training in agriculture/agribusiness for the community, especially job seekers. The challenge faced by BLK Lembang is to create agricultural entrepreneurs expected to reduce 1.8 million unemployed in West Java (BPS, 2017). This study aims to investigate the innovations undertaken by BLK Lembang in creating agricultural entrepreneurs through agricultural vocational training. The study was conducted from November to December 2017 at BLK Lembang using qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected through secondary data, observation, in-depth interviews, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to several key informants. The results of this study showed that BLK Lembang has performed innovations in its vocational training system in order to create agricultural entrepreneurs that include: vision and planning, demonstration and training facilities, capacity building for instructor, training program development, training contents development, utilization of material practice, On Job Training Program, and networking. In the future, BLK Lembang will take opportunities for innovation in management and work culture, human resources, training programs, membership, facilities and partnership to improve its training system and quality in order to create more agricultural entrepreneurs. Keywords: agricultural entrepreneur, agricultural innovation system, agricultural vocational training ABSTRACTBalai Latihan Kerja (BLK) Lembang adalah lembaga pelatihan kerja pemerintah yang bertugas menyelenggarakan pelatihan kerja di bidang pertanian/ agribisnis bagi masyarakat, terutama pencari kerja. Tantangan yang dihadapi oleh BLK Lembang adalah menciptakan wirausaha pertanian yang diharapkan dapat mengurangi 1,8 juta penganggur di Jawa Barat (BPS, 2017). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui inovasi yang dilakukan oleh BLK Lembang dalam menciptakan wirausaha pertanian melalui pelatihan kerja bidang pertanian. Penelitian dilakukan dari November hingga Desember 2017 di BLK Lembang dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui data sekunder, observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD) kepada beberapa informan kunci. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa BLK Lembang telah melakukan inovasi dalam sistem pelatihan kerjanya untuk menciptakan wirausaha pertanian yang meliputi: visi dan perencanaan, fasilitas peraga dan pelatihan, pengembangan kapasitas untuk instruktur, pengembangan program pelatihan, pengembangan materi pelatihan, pemanfaatan bahan latihan, Program On-Job Training dan jaringan kerja sama. Di masa mendatang, BLK Lembang akan memanfaatkan peluang-peluang untuk inovasi dalam aspek manajemen dan budaya kerja, sumber daya manusia, program pelatihan, kepesertaan, fasilitas, dan jaringan kerja sama untuk meningkatkan sistem dan kualitas pelatihan dalam rangka menciptakan lebih banyak wirausaha pertanian.  Kata kunci: wirausaha pertanian, sistem inovasi pertanian, pelatihan kerja pertanian

Abstract

Motivation in establishing entrepreneurship are often decreases over time as many obstacles were undertaken. It is going deeper whenit is happened toa local commodity-based business. Corn is a local commodity that is well developed in Banyuresmi, Garut, West Java. Corn rice development as one of the alternative of non-rice food does not necessarily succeed because people are less equipped with business skills. The main obstacle faced by the society is the lack of continuity of assistance. An intensive assistance can continuously improve their motivation in running the business. To overcome this condition, a replication method was developed with the objective of keeping the well developed entrepreneurial spirit be induced to the society of Banyuresmi. Replication method by presenting the society of corn rice businesses in other business units thatis already well under way was able to increase the motivation of the society. The proximity of the process being undertaken by the society with FruitsUp business has increased public confidence to proceed in developing a local commodity-based business. Abstract

ABSTRACTA waste bank is a place for collecting and sorting dry waste. Waste is saved, weighed, and valued with a sum of money. Trash is sold in factories that worked with the waste bank. The waste bank engages people to sort waste and provide public awareness in managing waste and reducing waste that is transported to landfills. Waste segregation is one of the efforts made in the community to reduce the problem of household waste. Waste sorting is done so that the recycling process can be done more effectively and efficiently. Waste management with a waste bank system is expected to be able to assist the government in handling waste and improving the community's economy. The benefits of the waste bank are to help waste management, make the community aware of a healthy, neat, and clean environment, turning waste into something more useful. The method used to design a waste bank’s business model with a business model canvas. The results obtained by a complete framework regarding the resources, activities, and related parties needed to run a waste bank in Bandung.Keywords: waste bank; waste sorting; business model canvas
