Abstract

This research was conducted in Juli-September 2019 in the Intensive Bone Pond SUPM Negeri Bone, Bone Regency. This study aims to: (1) Describe the condition of the study site for pond intercropping patterns; (2) Knowing the type and density of mangroves at the study site; (3) Assessing the role of mangroves as biofilter for the pollution of vaname shrimp pond cultivation. The method used in data collection is done by direct measurement to the field for water quality at the location of the pond, the type and density of mangroves determined by using transects. The results showed that the pond intercropping pattern used in the Bone State SUPM Pond was a model of an open trench pond. The type of mangrove that dominates the research location is Rhizopora mucronata and for vegetation density each station was different where in the tree category station 1 had a vegetation density of 0.48 ind / m², station II was 0.87 ind / m², station III was 1.06 ind / m². For the stake category 1 station has a vegetation density of 0.24 ind / m², station II is 0.08 ind / m², station III is 0.68 ind / m². For the seedling category station 1 has a vegetation density of 77 ind / m², station II is 32 ind / m², station III is 15 ind / m². Mangroves in the vicinity of SUPM Bone Bone can play a role as biofilter for the pollution of vaname shrimp aquaculture results with measurements of water quality before and after passing through mangroves decreased

Abstract

This research aims to determine the role female farmers in development of rural aquaculture and the factors that influence the role of women farmers in rural aquaculture Development. This research was conducted in January to February 2020 in Bulukumba Regency. The t test analysis method was the comparative test. The results indicate that the Role of Women Farmers in the Development of Rural Aquaculture in Bulukumba Regency had a positive impact and the average income of the groups receiving assistance had increased incomes. The results of the calculation of multiple regression analysis show that the factors that influence the role of women farmers in the economic improvement was age, degree level, land area, and level of experience, while the nature of work and the number of dependents do not directly affect the increase in income of farmers in economic improvement activities.

Abstract

Infectious Hypodermal Haematopoietic Necrosis Virus (IHHNV) is one of the diseases that is the main cause of decreased production of vanamei shrimp. This study aims to: 1) detect IHHNV in vannamei shrimp using the Poymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method; 2). Knowing the disease status of Infectous Hypodermal and Haematopoietic Necrosis Virus (IHHNV) Infecting Vannamei Shrimp Cultivation in Pinrang Regency; 3). IHHNV Virus Disease Control Strategy in Vannamei Shrimp Cultivation Activities. The research method used is a total of 252 samples taken from 14 ponds in two districts. The organs observed were swimming legs. The research stages include sample preparation and DNA extraction, DNA sample extraction using DTAB-CTAB. Furthermore, DNA amplification and detection of PCR products. To see the amplified PCR product, further analysis through electrophoresis is needed. The results showed that the swimming legs of the vannamei shrimp were not infected with the IHHNV virus. Based on the results of the PCR test using Primer KIT (IQ2000TM IHHNV Detection and Prevention System) showed that all samples of Vannamei Shrimp (Litopenaeus Vannamei) were not infected with the IHHNV Virus.

Abstract

Acute Hepatopancreatic Necrosis Disease (AHPND) is one of the most detri-mental diseases for shrimp farmers, with a mortality rate reaching 100%. One approach to treating AHPND infections involves utilizing mangrove extracts. Several secondary metabolites found in mangroves, such as steroids, triterpenoids, flavonoids, alkaloids, and polyphenols, possess antibacterial properties. The objective of this study is to evalu-ate the antibacterial activity of various mangrove extracts against Vibrio parahaemolyticus strain AHPND. The research method, extraction uses the maceration method. The anti-bacterial activity test used the double layer diffusion method to isolate the bacteria V. parahaemolyticus strain AHPND.. Further tests were carried out to determine the Mini-mum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) and Minimum Bactericidal Concentration (MBC) of the mangrove extracts. Results: The study revealed that extracts from A. officinalis and R. apiculata inhibited the growth of V. parahaemolyticus, with inhibition zone diameters of 11 mm and 12 mm, respectively. Further testing showed that the MIC and MBC values of A. officinalis were 0.25 mg/disc, producing an inhibition zone diameter of 8 mm, while the MIC and MBC values of R. apiculata were also 0.25 mg/disc, with inhibition zone diameters of 8 mm for MIC and 7 mm for MBC. Avicennia officinalis and Rhizophora apiculata show potential to be developed as natural antibacterial agents in aquaculture.
