Abstract

Among the many interpretations and claims of humanism by some ideologies, Islam provides its view more comprehensively. Man on earth is seen as a caliph (al-Baqarah [2]: 30), without losing the aspect of divinity. Based on the understanding of Ali Syari’ati’s humanism, researchers seek to uncover the values of humanism contained in Diwan Sayyid Qutb (the work of Islam reformer and social activist, Sayyid Qutb (d. 1966)) and explain how the delivery. The goal is realized through a descriptive qualitative approach, with qualitative content analysis of the latest version of Mayring.The results of this study indicate that the poems in Diwan Sayyid Qutb were analyzed (‘Asyiq al-Muhal, al-Ka’su al-Masmumah, al-Zad al-Akhir, and Shaut al-Wathaniyah) loaded with the values of humanism, among them: religious values, optimistic, moral, consciousness, freedom, creative, and social values. The delivery tends to use simple language and not metaphors. Some poems are closely related to personality and social life poet. As an Islam reformer, his poems are identical to religious values.

Abstract

This article aimed to verify the effectivity of Himmati to improve the Arabic reading skills of beginners. The target population here was all of the beginners in Indonesia as well as some other countries in Southeast Asia. While the accessible population was the beginners in MAN 4 Banyuwangi, Indonesia among the new students of 2020/2021. Based on the experiment results on 21 samples who participated in the online ATQ program using Himmati, which were analyzed with the paired-sample t-test, it was found a value of sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 < P-value 0,50, while the value of tcount 5,901 > ttable 2,086. It showed that there was difference in the Arabic reading skills for beginners between pretest and post-test scores. Because the post-test score 87,19 > pretest score 80,38.  So it can be concluded that Himmati is effective as a textbook to improve the Arabic reading skills for beginners in MAN 4 Banyuwangi. Thus, Himmati can be recommended as a textbook to be used by more beginners to improve the Arabic reading skills.

Abstract

Repetition is a style of language that beautifies the language itself. The existence of repetition in the Qur'an becomes a miracle that can soften anyone who reads or listens to it. Therefore, the study of repetition in the Qur'an becomes important in terms of linguistics, literature, and religion. This study aims to explore the types of repetitions in both Madaniyah surahs, Al-Ahzab, through a qualitative-descriptive approach that utilizes grounded research to analyze the data. The results of the study are found as follows. There are phonological, morphological, syntactic, and semantic repetitions and their types in surah Al-Ahzab, except for sentence repetition. There are 7 types of repetitions in surah Al-Ahzab, namely: mesodiplosis, tautotes, epizeuxis, anaphora, epiphora, simploke, and epanalepsis. There are one theme repetition in surah Al-Ahzab namely Asmaul Husna Allah, Most Forgiving, and Most Merciful.

Abstract

Himmati is deliberately created as a textbook modification to recognize the Qur'an prepared for beginners. This research aimed to describe the characteristics of teaching material contained in Himmati. This research was a qualitative approach and content analysis of the perspective of Thu’aimah.  It also belonged to library research with the main data source is a book, named Himmati: Modifikasi Pembelajaran Dasar Mengenali al-Qur’an from volume 1 to volume 5. The results showed that: 1) Generally, the teaching materials in Himmati were divided into 5 volumes which were presented inductively, namely the introduction of letters, words, tajweed, gharib, and verses in the Qur’an. Specifically, the teaching materials in Himmati were divided into 7 volumes which were presented with examples from the Qur'an and colored in the order of the frequency of visible light, from red to violet. The 1st volume focused on pronunciation, the 2ndA volume was on short vowels, long vowels, nunation (tanwin), and original sukuun, the 2ndB volume was on non-original sukuun and shadda, the 3rdA volume was on the law of nuun sukuun, nunation, germination nuun and miim, the 3rdB volume was on the law of miim sukuun, definite article al, and madd, the 4th volume was on the rule of exception, and the 5th volume was on the stop sign.
