Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of submersion seeds in hot water and submersion time on the viability of fennel seeds and growth of fennel seeds (Foeniculum vulgare Mill). This research was conducted from October to December 2020, in Manggung Village RT 02 RW 04 Sukorejo Village, Musuk District, Boyolali Regency. Altitude ± 800 m asl. This study uses an environmental design in the basic pattern of Completely Randomized Design (CRD) arranged factually with 2 (two) factors repeated 3 (three) times. The first factor is submersion seeds in hot water, which consists of three levels (P1: 50ºC, P2: 60ºC, and P3: 70ºC). The second factor was the submersion time which consisted of 3 kinds of treatments (W1: 10 minutes, W2: 15 minutes, and W3: 20 minutes). The observation parameters consisted of the number of seeds germinating, germination capacity, plant height, number of leaves, root length, and weight of fresh seeds. The results showed that: Submersion treatment with hot water had a significant effect on the number of germinated seeds. And had a very significant effect on germination, plant height, number of leaves, root length, and weight of fresh seeds. The treatment of submersion time had a significant effect on the parameters of the number of seeds germinated and the germination capacity and had no significant effect on other parameters. The combination of P2W1 treatment (submersion with hot water temperature of 60°C and submersion time for 10 minutes) was able to break the dormancy of fennel seeds well until they reached 100% germination. The P x W treatment interaction showed no significant effect on other parameters.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan ekstrak daun kelor dan air kelapa dalam menekan daya imunitas pada beberapa varietas tanaman tomat yang disebabkan oleh penyakit Fusarium oxysporum. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan dari bulan September 2020 sampai Januari 2021 di Dusun Manggung RT 02 / 04 Desa Sukorejo, Kecamatan Musuk, Kabupaten Boyolali dengan ketinggian 700 - 1000 m dpl. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) macam varietas yang terdiri atas 2 taraf (T1 : New precious dan T2 : Marta F1) dan pemberian macam pestisida (P0 : tanpa pemberian pestisida atau kontrol, P1 : Ekstrak daun kelor, P2 : Air kelapa, dan P3 : pestisida kimia Dithane m-45 sebagai pembanding). Parameter pengamatan terdiri atas tinggi tanaman, jumlah buah, berat buah, berat brangkasan kering, dan intensitas serangan penyakit.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa respon macam varietas dan pemberian macam pestisida memberikan pengaruh terhadap serangan Fusarium oxysporum, pertumbuhan dan hasil pada tanaman tomat. Perlakuan macam varietas berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, kemudian berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap jumlah buah, tetapi berpengaruh tidak nyata pada berat buah, berat brangkasan kering dan intensitas serangan penyakit. Perlakuan pemberian macam pestisida berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap parameter berat buah, berat brangkasan kering dan intensitas serangan penyakit tetapi berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman dan jumlah buah. Perlakuan macam pestisida pada ekstrak daun kelor sebanyak 30 ml/l memberi hasil efektif dan mengatasi serangan Fusarium oxysporum. Interaksi perlakuan macam varietas dan pemberian macam pestisida menunjukkan pengaruh tidak nyata terhadap parameter pengamatan tinggi tanaman, jumlah buah, dan intensitas serangan penyakit. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa interaksi antara macam varietas dan macam pestisida tidak saling bersinergi dalam pertumbuhan tanaman tomat. Namun interaksi perlakuan macam varietas dan perlakuan macam pestisida menunjukkan pengaruh sangat nyata terhadap parameter berat buah.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan daerah binaan, berkembangnya kemitraan antara Fakultas Pertanian UNIBA dengan masyarakat di Desa Gebyok, Kecamatan Mojogedang, menumbuhkan semangat masyarakat untuk memanfaatkan limbah-limbah petanian agar memiliki nilai tambah. Metode kegiatan pengabdian meliputi penyuluhan dan pelatihan praktek. Kegiatan pengabdian ini melakukan praktek pembuatan perangkat untuk pembuatan pupuk organik cair. Salah satu bentuk evaluasi atas keberhasilan program ini adalah praktek dan pembagian kuisioner. Kuisioner tersebut berisi pertanyaan singkat mengenai materi-materi yang telah diberikan selama proses pengabdian masyarakat. Praktek memberikan gambaran kepada para anggota kelompok tani dalam memahami penjelasan yang dilakukan oleh para penyuluh. Kuisioner ini merupakan alat ukur sejauh mana program pengabdian ini dapat memberikan perubahan tentang cara pandang masyarakat terhadap pupuk cair organik yang dihasilkannya.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of seed age and planting media as well as the best interaction between seedling age and planting media on the growth and yield of kale plants (Brassica oleracea var. sabellica). This research has been carried out from September 2022 to November 2022 which was carried out in the Ngruwuh Wetan RT 03 / 12 Punduhsari Village, Manyaran District Wonogiri Regency with an altitude of ±230 m above sea level. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) of seedling age consisting of 3 levels ((U_(1 ):12 days ater sowing, U_2: 14 days ater sowing, U_3: 16 days ater sowing) and the application of various organic planting media M_1(soil: manure=1: 1), M_2 (soil: manure: cocopeat = 1: 1: 1), M_3 (soil : manure: burnt husk = 1: 1: 1), and M_4 (soil: manure: cocopeat: burnt husks= 1: 1: 1: 1). There were 12 experimental units with 3 tests where each experimental unit consisted of 3 sample plants so that there were 108 plants. The observation parameters consist of plant height, leaf width, root length, total leaf weight, and fresh plant weight. The results showed that the age treatment of seedlings had a very noticeable influence on plant height, leaf width, root length, total leaf weight, and fresh plant weight. Seeding U_1 (12 hss) seedlings gave the best results in the growth and yield of kale plants. The treatment of various planting media has a very noticeable effect on plant height, leaf width, root length, total leaf weight, and fresh plant weight. Organic growing media M_2 (soil: manure: cocopeat: burnt husks= 1: 1: 1) gives the best results for the growth and yield of kale plants. Meanwhile, the interaction between the age treatment of seedlings and the type of organic planting media showed an unreal influence on all observation parameters. INTISARIPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh umur bibit dan media tanam serta interaksi terbaik umur bibit dan media tanam organik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kale (Brassica oleracea var. sabellica). Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan pada bulan September 2022 sampai November 2022 di Ngruwuh Wetan RT 03/12 Punduhsari, Manyaran, Wonogiri dengan ketinggian ±230 m dpl. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) umur bibit terdiri atas 3 taraf (:12 hss, : 14 hss, : 16 hss) dan pemberian macam media tanam organik   (tanah: pupuk kandang = 1: 1),  (tanah: pupuk kandang: cocopeat= 1: 1: 1),(tanah: pupuk kandang: sekam bakar = 1: 1: 1, dan  (tanah: pupuk kandang: cocopeat: sekam bakar = 1: 1: 1: 1).  Terdapat 12 unit percobaan dengan 3 ulangan, tiap unit percobaan terdiri dari 3 sampel sehinggat terdapat 108 tanaman. Parameter pengamatan terdiri atas tinggi tanaman, lebar daun, panjang akar, berat daun total, dan berat tanaman segar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan umur bibit memberikan pengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, lebar daun, panjang akar, berat daun total, dan berat tanaman segar. Umur bibit  (12 hss) memberikan hasil terbaik dalam pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kale. Perlakuan macam media tanam berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, lebar daun, panjang akar, berat daun total, dan berat tanaman segar. Media tanam organik  (tanah: pupuk kandang: cocopeat: sekam bakar= 1: 1: 1) memberikan hasil terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kale, sedangkan interaksi antara kedua faktor perlakuan tidak menunjukkan pengaruh nyata terhadap seluruh parameter pengamatan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh komposisi media tanam dan konsentrasi zat pengatur tumbuh terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman pare. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut : Perlakuan komposisi media tanam berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah buah per tanaman, panjang buah per tanaman dan berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap berat brangkasan segar, berat buah per tanaman. Perlakuan zat pengatur tumbuh berpengaruh nyata terhadap berat brangkasan segar, jumlah buah per tanaman, berat buah pertanaman dan berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap panjang buah per tanaman. Interaksi antara perlakuan komposisi media tanam dan konsentrasi zat pengatur tumbuh berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap semua parameter pengamatan. Berat buat per tanaman tertinggi 180,67 g, diperoleh dari kombinasi perlakuan S3P3 (Komposisi media tanam tanah, pupuk kandang sapi, arang sekam dengan perbandingan 1:3:1 dan kosentrasi ZPT hormonik Nasa 3 cc/ l air). Berat buah per tanaman terendah 101,67 g, diperoleh pada kombinasi perlakuan S1P1 (Komposisi media tanam tanah, pupuk kandang sapi, arang sekam dengan perbandingan 1:1:1 dan kosentrasi ZPT hormonik Nasa 1 cc/ l air)

Abstract

Vegetables play an important role in human life. Because vegetables are a source of vitamins and minerals that are good for health. The large number of cases of stunting in children today is caused by, among other things, a lack of nutritious food, including vegetables. In general, the people of Colomadu District, Karanganyar Regency do not fully utilize their home gardens. By distributing vegetable seeds to women farmer groups (KWT) in Colomadu District, the Women Farmer Groups can optimize their yard land so as to support the Framework for Supporting Family Food Security. Steps taken in the community service activity "Empowerment of Women Farming Groups (KWT) through the distribution of vegetable seeds in order to support family food security. including: First step, Coordination with the head of the Neighborhood Association (RT), this activity is the first step in community service activities, the purpose of this activity is to ask for permission to carry out community service activities and ask about what the Women's Farmers Group (KWT) needs. in order to support family food security. The second step, namely implementation, this activity is a series of the first step, after a meeting point has been reached for coordination activities, the day for carrying out community service activities is determined.

Abstract

Liquid organic fertilizer is a type effectively increases of organic fertilizer that is very effective in increasing plant productivity. This fertilizer is made from organic materials such as animal manure, food scraps, and agricultural waste which are fermented to produce nutrients that are easily absorbed by plants. Therefore, farmers need training and assistance to manufacture and use liquid organic fertilizers that are cheap and easy to make. This community service aims to provide training and assistance to women farmer groups in manufacturing and using liquid organic fertilizer. This activity was carried out in Trowangsan Village, Rt 003/014, Malangjiwan, Colomadu, Karanganyar, Central Java. The Community Service activity will be held on June 24, 2023. This training will include an explanation of the benefits and methods of making liquid organic fertilizer that is easy and cheap, as well as the practice of making liquid organic fertilizer directly by members of farmer women's groups. Based on the observations of the service team, participants took part in the activity enthusiastically. The enthusiasm of the participants can be seen from the participants who actively ask questions and are interested in direct training on the manufacture of liquid organic fertilizer. The achievement of the goals and benefits of this service activity can be known through evaluation and monitoring in the form of assistance to participants. Assistance is carried out by monitoring the implementation and application of POC in KWT Guyub Makmur's farming activities.
