Abstract

ABSTRACTThe availability of varieties having high-yielding potential and good horticultural characteristics under organic environment is prerequisite for successful organic sweet corn production. Objective of this study was to estimate the general and specific combining abilities of ear characteristics in eight sweet corn inbred lines under organic cropping system. Seeds of 64 genotypes generated from a full diallel crossing scheme of the inbred lines were planted on the experimental plots in a randomized complete block design with 3 replications. Organic managements were practiced during the crop production. Analysis of variance showed highly significant variabilities among the genotypes for ear length, unhusked ear diameter, husked ear diameter, kernel row number, and ear weight. Analyisis of combining ability components revealed that both additive and non-addive gene actions played important roles in the expression of those traits, while reciprocal effect played a minor role in husked ear diameter expression. Based on their general combining abilities, Caps 17A, Caps 17B, and Caps 5 were considered as good combiners for the development high-yielding hybrid varieties under organic cropping system. Caps 2 x Caps 3 was the hybrid with the highest and positive specific combining ability for most of the characters studied.Keywords: general combining ability, hybrid, inbred line, specific combining abilityABSTRAKPenyediaan varietas yang berdaya hasil tinggi dengan karakteristik hortikultura baik pada lingkungan organik menjadi prasyarat bagi keberhasilan produksi jagung manis secara organik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk menduga besarnya daya gabung umum dan daya gabung khusus karakteristik tongkol dari delapan galur inbrida jagung manis pada sistem budidaya organik. Benih dari 64 genotipe yang dihasilkan melalui skema persilangan dialel penuh dari galur-galur inbrida tersebut ditanam pada plot-plot percobaan dalam susunan rancangan acak kelompok lengkap dengan 3 ulangan. Pengelolaan secara organik dilakukan selama proses budidaya tanaman. Analisis ragam menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang sangat nyata antar genotipe untuk panjang tongkol, diameter tongkol berkelobot, diameter tongkol tanpa kelobot, jumlah baris biji per tongkol, dan bobot tongkol. Analisis daya gabung menunjukkan bahwa tindak gen aditif dan non-aditif memiliki peran penting terhadap ekspresi karakter-karakter tersebut, sementara pengaruh resiprokal hanya terlibat pada ekspresi diameter tongkol tanpa kelobot. Berdasarkan nilai daya gabung umumnya, Caps 17A, Caps 17B, dan Caps 5 memiliki potensi sebagai penggabung yang baik untuk pengembangan varietas hibrida berdaya hasil tinggi pada sistem budidaya organik. Caps 2 x Caps 3 merupakan hibrida dengan daya gabung khusus positif tertinggi pada sebagian besar karakter tongkol yang dievaluasi.Kata kunci: daya gabung khusus, daya gabung umum, galur inbrida, hibrida

Abstract

Aplikasi pupuk organik sekam kopi dapat memperbaiki sifat biologi, fisik dan kimia tanah. Meski demikian, kandungan unsur hara pupuk organik sekam kopi tergolong rendah. Penggunaan pupuk sekam kopi dalam budidaya pertanian perlu penambahan pupuk sintetik karena kandungan unsur haranya yang rendah. Bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum L.) termasuk tanaman yang membutuhkan N yang cukup tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan respon pertumbuhan dan hasil bawang merah yang dipupuk dengan pupuk organik sekam kopi dan N dengan dosis berbeda.  Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari – Maret 2019 di Lahan Pertanian Kelurahan Mubai, Kecamatan Lebong Selatan, Kabupaten Lebong, Bengkulu. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakanan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL) yang disusun secara faktorial yang terdiri dari 2 faktor. Faktor pertama adalah pupuk organik limbah kopi yang terdiri atas 4 taraf, yaitu 0, 5, 10 dan 15 ton/ha. Faktor kedua yaitu dosis N (Urea) yang terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu kontrol (0 kg/ha), 150, 300, dan 450 kg/ha. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, pemberian pupuk organik sekam kopi pada dosis yang berbeda dapat meningkatkan tinggi tanaman secara linier terhadap bobot umbi per rumpun dan hasil per petak. Tinggi tanaman dan hasil umbi per petak juga meningkat secara linear seiring dengan meningkatnya dosis pupuk urea yang digunakan.

Abstract

The research that the authors do is focused on the value of gender equality contained in the material of PAI and how to implement it in a learning process. The methode used is descriptive-qualitative. From the research conducted found that 1). There is still a gender bias of men and women who consciously or unconsciously have been presented in the PAI textbooks used in SD 2). Gender Equality in PAI Learning has no learning process or treatment to students outside of gender biased class 3). Teachers' Efforts in Embedding the Value of Gender Equality through learning is To increase insight and raise awareness about gender equality, Action and gender anti-discrimination in PAI learning process and out-of-class activities, Be sensitive to gender issues both in learning and in the use of material books PAI.

Water extract can be used to suppress weeds around planted plants. The water extract material's source has the potential to be used as a variety of bioherbicides. The goal of the study was to see if water extract of sorghum obtained from the main plant and ratoon growing in swampland with different test plants could hinder germination. A randomized block design was adopted in this investigation. The first factor is the extract's source, which is made up of the primary plant and ratoon. The second component was the test plants, which were Numbu and Suri 3 types. Experiments on Petri dishes used the bioassay method. Each petri dish received 10 mL of aqueous extract, 25 sorghum seeds, and was cultured for five days. The main plant had the largest germination inhibition, as evidenced by normal germination (33.78%), shorter radicle length (5.55 cm), and a higher number of non-growing seeds (47.12%). Furthermore, the Suri 3 variety had the maximum germination inhibition, with normal sprouts (34.65%), radicle length (5.10 cm), sprout wet weight (0.118 g), and radicle dry weight (0.118 g) in the test plant (0.0012 g). low, and seeds did not develop any faster (43.57 percent). These data suggest that the most allelopathic chemicals are produced by sorghum extract taken from the primary plant. Furthermore, the maximum inhibition was achieved using sorghum extract from the Numbu variety in combination with the Suri 3 test plant. As a result, the primary crop has the greatest potential as a bioherbicide source.

Intensification includes soil management activities, selection of superior varieties, pest and disease control, and fertilization. Fertilization is necessary for the improvement of long beans yield. The combination of organic and synthetic is necessary to maintain soil productivity. Such combination is vermicompost and ammonium nitrate fertilizer. The purpose of this study was to ascertain the effect of a combined dose of vermicompost and ammonium nitrate on long bean growth and yield. The study used Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with 3 replications. The treatments were Vermicompost (V) 15 tons/ha, ZA 50 kg/ha, V 15 tons/ha + ZA 50 kg/ha, (V 15 tons/ha + ZA 100 kg/ha, V 15 tons/ha + ZA 150 kg/ha, V 15 tons/ha + ZA 200 kg/ha, and V 15 tons/ha + ZA 250 kg/ha. The results indicated that applying vermicompost alone or with ZA had no noticeable effect on plant growth and yield. There were no significant differences in plant height, pod length, pod diameter, number of seeds, number of pods, or pod weight between treatments. Long bean productivity is lower than its potential yield due to unfavorable environmental factors.

Abstract

This study aims to generalize the concept of the universality of language in the context of learning Arabic in Indonesia. The method used thisresearch is descriptive qualitative. Already Arabic learning at the basic level does not use conventional approaches and methods in this era, but a teachermust be more constructive in managing learning, one of them is the approach of universality of language. A good Arabic learning must have an universalityof language value. The universality language is a system of sound symbols that must be complemented by the full and systematic dimensions of language. Theprinciples which are have to be folowwed in the universality of language such as syntac, phonology, morphology and semantic principles. Thus, PBAcontestation in basic lavel using the system of language universality will be better to improve students Arabic language skills.

Abstract

The study aimed to determine growth and yield performance of sweet corn, peanut, red bean as well as string bean on either monoculture and intercropping system on organic farming practice and to determine Land Equivalent Ratio (LER) on the intercropping system. The experiment was conducted at CAPS Research Station (1054 m above sea level) from September through December 2018. A single factor evaluated was arranged in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) as follows: monoculture sweet corn, monoculture peanut, monoculture red bean, monoculture string bean, intercropping sweet corn – peanut, intercropping sweet corn – red bean, and intercropping sweet corn – string bean. Each treatment was repeated three times. The results showed, either peanut, red bean, and string bean can’t be intercropped with sweet corn in organic farming practice due to high weed competition. The LER in all intercropping was greater than one indicating than intercropping of intercropping sweet corn – peanut, intercropping sweet corn – red bean and intercropping sweet corn – string bean is more efficient and more productive the monoculture of each crop.

Abstract

Children with special needs are children with different characteristics from normal children in general. Especially deaf children are children who have impaired hearing either totally or have residual hearing. Deaf communication requires services that can support their communication difficulties. In this case SDLB Negeri Jenang Ponorogo organized a communication development program with Communication Development through the Sound and Rhythm Perception Program (BKPBI). In this study the author is intended to discuss more about; Forms of service stages, learning implementation strategies and service results of sound and rhythm perception programs in SDLB Negeri Jenang Ponorogo. This research uses a qualitative approach methodology with the type of case study research. The data in this study are words and actions, while the source of the data are the Principal and teachers at SDLB Negeri Jenang. Data collection methods are interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. After conducting the analysis, the writer can conclude that the form of communication service development stages through sound and rhythm perception programs in the Jenang Negeri Extraordinary Elementary School is sound detection, sound discrimination, sound identification, sound comprehension, learning implementation strategies using review, overview, presentation, exercise, and summary, also by using the classical and individual models, while the results of the service program of perception of sound and rhythm in the State Elementary School Extraordinary, namely deaf children are able to recognize sounds, easy to respond to sounds such as background noises, the nature of sounds, creating sounds up to recognize types of musical instruments, able to identify sounds and detect the direction of sound.
