Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan dari kulit buah pisang kepok (Musa normalis L.) dalam menurunkan bilangan peroksida. Penentuan bilangan peroksida dilakukan dengan cara iodometri. Hasil didapatkan nilai bilangan peroksida dengan waktu perendaman 1, 2, 3, dan 4 jam berturut-turut adalah 35,16; 30,60; 28,00; 23,11 meq/kg dengan persentase 0,25 % (1 jam), 17,54% (2 jam), 24,54% (3 jam) dan 37,27% (4 jam). kulit buah pisang kepok dapat menurunkan bilangan peroksida.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian dengan judul Uji Aktivitas Antioksidan dari Ekstrak Etanol Jantung Pisang Kepok (Musa paradisiaca L.) Pontianak dengan metode Spektrofotometri UV-Vis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak etanol jantung pisang kepok dengan metode DPPH secara kualitatif maupun kuantitatif, dengan spektrofotometri UV-Vis pada panjang gelombang 517 nm. Ekstrak jantung pisang kepok dibuat dalam konsentrasi 4 ppm, 8 ppm, 12 ppm, 16 ppm, dan 20 ppm. Sebagai pembanding digunakan vitamin C. Hasil pengujian menunjukan nilai IC50 ekstrak etanol jantung pisang kepok sebesar 13,11 ppm sedangkan vitamin C sebesar 1,11 ppm. Diketahui jika nilai IC50 lebih kecil dari 200 ppm, maka dapat digunakan sebagai antioksidan.

Abstract

Tumbuhan pandan hutan yang terdapat di gunung Passi Singkawang dengan spesies Freycinetia sessiliflora Rizki belum banyak diteliti terutama kandungan senyawa kimianya. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah fraksinasi dan identifikasi senyawa tanin ekstrak etanol pandan hutan Freycinetia sessiliflora Rizki. Metode fraksinasi yang digunakan adalah kromatografi lapis tipis yang dilanjutkan dengan kromatografi kolom. Skrining fitokimia menggunakan pereaksi FeCl3 serta analisis menggunakan spektrofotometri UV-Vis. Hasil pemisahan dengan metode kromatografi lapis tipis dan kromatografi kolom menggunakan eluen kloroform: methanol: air (7:3:0,4) dengan nilai Rf 0,25-0,77. Analisis panjang gelombang menggunakan spektrofotometri UV-Vis menunjukan senyawa tanin dengan panjang gelombang maksimum 734,1 nm.

Abstract

Bajakah root (Spatholobus littoralis Hassk.) is a plant that is often used as traditional medicine. Bajakah root (Spatholobus littoralis Hassk.) contains phenolic compounds, flavonoids, tannins and saponins. This study aims to determine whether the ethanol extract of bajakah root has mucolytic activity or not, so that its usefulness can be clearly and scientifically known. The method used in this study was in vitro using duck egg white as artificial phlegm by comparing the mucolytic activity between ethanol extracts of pirated roots (Spatholobus littoralis Hassk.) with a concentration of formula I 5%, formula II 10%, and formula III 15%. The mucolytic activity was tested using a Brookfield LVT 230 viscometer, then the viscosity was measured and statistical tests were performed with p<0.05. The ethanol extract of pirated roots (Spatholobus littoralis Hassk.) at concentrations of 5%, 10%, and 15% had mucolytic activity in vitro with percentages of 40.78%, 51.35%, and 47.43%, respectively. as a comparison of mucolytic activity of 0.2% acetylcysteine ​​positive control, which was 58.61%. This indicates that the ethanol extract of the root of the bajakah (Spatholobus littoralis Hassk.) has mucolytic activity against duck egg white in vitro.

Abstract

Flavonoid compounds are red, purple, blue dyes and as yellow dyes found in plants. The purpose of research to determine the kind of flavonoid compounds found in the ethanol extract of genjer leaves(Limnocharis flava (L.) Buchenau). The study was conducted by maceration extraction using 96% ethanol solvent then evaporated with a rotary evaporator so that a thick extract is obtained. The identification of flavonoid compounds was carried out by wilstater, 10% NaOH, and H2SO4 (concentrated) test. Isolation of flavonoids was done by column chromatography and identification of flavonoid compounds was done by Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) test. Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) results showed the presence of flavonoid compounds contained in the ethanol extract of genjer leaves (Limnocharis flava (L.) Buchenau).

Abstract

This study aims to identify flavonoid compounds from ethanol extract of bajakah root using thin layer chromatography (TLC) with mobile phase variations. The results of the phytochemical examination carried out by the shinoda test gave a red color and the H2SO4 test gave an orange-red color, indicating that there were flavonoid compounds.The results of thin layer chromatography using ethyl acetate: methanol (3:2) mobile phase has an Rf value of 0.80, in the mobile phase n-butanol: acetic acid: water (4:1:5) an Rf value of 0.75 indicates the presence of flavonoid compounds.
