Abstract

The Islamic integration as unit in learning and teaching is important. It can make civil society generations which applied the Islamic integration in students’ life well. integration learning is not only developed to achieve goals holistic learning as stated in concerning National Education Standards, expected by students as well could:1. Improve the understanding of concepts learned more meaningful. 2. Develop skills in finding, processing, and utilize information. 3. Develop positive attitudes, good habits and values noble needed in life. 4. Develop social skills such as cooperation, tolerance, communication, and respecting the opinions of others. 5. Increase passion in learning. 6. Have activities that are in accordance with interests and needs.

Abstract

This study was carried out to describe the types of Islamic integration taught in English Language Teaching in seventh grade Junior High School. In addition, the focus in this study is also to find out students’ and teachers’ responses related to English Language Teaching in seventh grade which is integrated with Islamic values. A qualitative descriptive research design was used in this study. The study involved one English teacher and six students of seventh grade. The type of integration in this study was proposed to Amin Abdullah. Based on the result of the study by interviewing and analyzing lesson plan, the researcher concluded that the type of integration carried out in English Language Learning was interconnected entities. In addition, based on the result of the students’ and teachers’ interview, students and teacher gave positive responses related to English learning which was integrated with Islamic values. English language teaching that integrated with Islamic values provided benefits and made students happy. In addition, students also got Islamic knowledge in learning and students feel not disturbed in understanding English lesson.

Abstract

Evaluasi pembelajaran merupakan kegiatan mengolah data penilaian hasil belajar peserta didik untuk menentukan tindak lanjut setelahnya. Penelitian ini akan mengungkap problematika yang ditemukan dalam penerapannya sekaligus memberikan alternatif solusi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dan bertempat di MI Ma’arif NU Sunan Drajat Lamongan dengan informan guru kelas 5 yang berjumlah 3 orang yaitu wali kelas Va, Vb, dan Vc. Wawancara dan dokumentasi digunakan untuk memperoleh data yang diperlukan, kemudian di oleh dengan cara direduksi, disajikan, dan diambil kesimpulan. Penelitian menemukan beberapa kendala dalam impelementasi evaluasi pembelajaran diantaranya; minimnya sumber daya dan kemampuan guru, perbedaan kemampuan peserta didik, sulitnya melakukan evaluasi non tes, rumusan evaluasi tidak terintegrasi dengan tujuan pembelajaran. Permasalahan tersebut dapat diatasi dengan cara, memanfaatkan teknologi dalam mengoptimalkan proses evaluasi, melibatkan peserta didik secara langsung dalam tahap penentuan metode evaluasi, merumuskan tujuan pembelajaran yang dapat diukur sehingga agar mudah dikembangkan menjadi sebuah soal, guru harus sering mengikuti berbagai pelatihan dan seminar terkait implementasi evaluasi pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan skill dan kemampuan.

Abstract

This article discusses about the criteria of reading skill development in globalization era and its curriculum development. Reading skill development is very important because Arabic language teachers are supposed to adapt to technology in order to make their students ready in facing the globalization challenge. Hopefully, in its process, it will maximize the use of audio-visual media and programmed learning media, develop higher order thinking, consider individual needs, and update teaching technique continuously. Moreover, the curriculum development should be based on today’s reading curriculum, the development of science and current global issues, and the use of newest technology product. In addition, it also focuses on the development of all reading skill elements, learners’ consciousness of all education level, and continuous curriculum evaluation to make it along with the era development.

Abstract

Understanding and mastering Arabic syntax have a significant contribution to comprehending religious sciences, especially the books that use the Arabic language. The teaching method used can influence the enthusiasm, motivation, and outcomes of student learning. The purpose of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the problem-based learning method in improving understanding and mastery of Arabic syntax. In this study, data were collected using a quasi-experimental methodology to analyze it quantitatively, determining the effectiveness of using PBL in Arabic language acquisition for understanding grammar. We analyzed the quantitative data using independent sample t-test statistics. Using the independent sample t-test criteria, a Sig. (2-tailed) value < 0.05 indicates a significant result. The data testing produced a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.007, which is less than 0.05. This indicates that the intervention produced significant results. The problem-based learning method is very capable and effective in enhancing knowledge and understanding of Arabic syntax.

Abstract

The result development of era diverse contemporary problems we are facing automatically increase, many contemporary issues that need legal solutions, on the other hand the existing methodology is sometimes considered inadequate to provide tailored solutions for the benefit required. One of the determination law methods initiated by contemporary scholars is al-Bûthi’s concept of maslahat. His intellectual career that get many scholars’ attention, the high appreciation from the other scholars because of his personal charisma, and the uniqueness of his thoughts attract researchers to conduct the study on his concept of thought about maslahat. Based on this background the researcher interested to discuss about contemporary concept of istinbath according to Sa'id Ramadan al-Bûthi, then its application in the determination of Islamic law, also the relevance and significance for solving problems of the contemporary issues in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to describe the contemporary concept according to Sa'id Ramadan al-Bûthi, then its application in the determination of Islamic law in Indonesia, also the relevance and significance for solving problems of the contemporary issues. The conclusion of this research is that contemporary concept of istinbath according to al-Bûthi must use istishlahi method, not the textualy one, only applying the text without being contextualized with the times and condition, nor too free without limitation when taking rests using the basis of maslahah, according to Sa'id Ramadan al-Bûthi the concept of istinbath law using maslahat considerations must fulfill five limits or restrictions (dlawâbith), namely: (1) maslahat must be ranged within the scope of the purpose of sari'ah '(maqâshid as-syari'ah), (2) does not contradict with al-Quran, (3) does not contradict with the Sunnah, (4) does not contradict with al-Qiyas, (5) does not ignore maslahat more important and urgrnt. Application of the Bûthi’s concept of maslahat for example is the determination of the law of jihad, the establishment of intellectual property rights, charity profession, waqf the money, etc.. From this it can be seen the relevance and significance of the the Bûthi’s concept of maslahat to be applied for solving contemporary problems in Indonesia.
