Abstract

Drug demand data is a top priority for a company in the process of ordering. In meeting consumer needs a plan is needed in the process of ordering drugs so that there is no vacancy and also the distribution process does not stop. This study  determine the results of drug inventory control orders and find out the total cost of ordering optimal drugs by applying the Heuristic Silver Meal (HSM) method. The total cost of ordering a drug before applying the HSM method is Rp. 29,016,000, while after applying the HSM method it produces a total booking fee of Rp. 20,800,632. Thus the results of the calculation of the method HSM are known to produce optimal ordering costs. This means that the company saves on ordering costs of Rp. 8,215,368, so the HSM method can be used to calculate the cost of ordering drugs at PT. Pratapa Nirmala Palembang.

Abstract

Internet Service Providers (ISPs) nowadays deal with high demand to promote good quality information. However, the knowledge to develop new pricing scheme that serve both customers and supplier is known, but only a few pricing plans involve QoS networks. This study will seek new proposed pricing plans offered under multi link multi service networks. The multi link multi service networks scheme is solved as an optimization model by comparing our four cases set up to achieve ISPs goals in obtaining profit. The decisions whether to set up base price to be fixed to recover the cost or to be varied to compete in the market are considered. Also, the options of quality premium to be fixed to enable user to choose classes according to their preferences and budget or to be varied to enable ISP to promote certain service are set up. Finally, we compare the previous research with our model to obtain better result in maximizing the ISPs profit.

Abstract

Abstract

This paper will analyze new improved charging scheme with base price, quality premium and QoS networks involved. Sain and Herpers [5] already attempted to obtain revenue maximization by creating charging scheme of internet. The plan is attempted to solve multiple service networks scheme as an optimization model to obtain revenue maximization using our improved model based on [2] and [5]. The results show that improved model can be solved optimally using optimization tool to achieve better revenue maximization. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v10i3.623

Abstract

Abstract

n this article, a multi-link internet reverse charging scheme model on a multi-service network isproposed. The previous research seldom discussed the reverse charging scheme on multi linkand multi service network. This pricing scheme is designed with the aim of maximizing serviceprovider profits. Basic costs and the level of service satisfaction provided by the ISP is focusedon this attempt. This optimization problem can be solved using LINGO 13.0 software. Thisproblem was made and was divided into several cases. Thus, the results obtained can be aconsideration for ISPs in determining the price of services that can support an ISP. The improvedmodels that produce the maximum solution is case 3 (α and β as variables) and case 4 (α asvariables and β as parameters).

Abstract

This paper discusses the management of traffic between cloud-based cellular networks. Welldesigned traffic management will allow network operators to draw maximum value from availablecapacity where cloud-based traffic management is called the UE (User Equipment). Runningtraffic management on the side of the UE allows decision making in the UE. Users can reach theQoS level to increase the speed of data received and communication latency or reduce theirpower consumption. Each UE maximizes their utility function, which is modelled based on theQoS parameters, selfishly, at the network side. So, the attempt is to maximize fairness among alluses’ flows by designing new improved model of traffic management cloud based of pricinginternet involving the energy consumption. Also in this paper parameters β as UE parameter valueand α as range value parameter are used. The results show that the improved model is betterthan the original one proposed by previous research in terms of maximum value reached althoughit takes more time for improved model to complete the iterations.

Abstract

In this article, a multi-link internet reverse charging (IRC) scheme model in a multi-service network with the addition of a bundling strategy is proposed. Reverse charging schemes in multi-link and multi-service networks are rarely discussed in previous studies. This financing scheme is designed with the aim of maximizing service provider profits by minimizing internet usage costs. The basic cost and satisfaction level of the service provided by the ISP is focused on this effort. The model formed in this study is a Mixed Integer Non-Linear Programming (MINLP) model that is completed using software LINGO 13.0. This problem comprises two cases, when α case as a parameter and β as a parameter and or variable with sub–cases increases in usage based financing schemes. Thus, the results obtained can be a consideration for ISPs in determining the price of services that can support an ISP. The updated IRC model provides a more optimal solution than the original IRC model.
