Abstract

The objectives of this research were to identify the internal and external factors related to Gapoktan performance and also to analyst the relation among the internal and external factors. The research conducted in March-May 2010 in South Lampung regency Lampung Province, the data were collected by interview technique using questionners to key persons. A number of 184 farmer groups respondents participated were randomized sampling from 20 sample of Gapoktan. Descriptive statistic and rank Spearman Correlation Test from SPSS 17.00 were used to analize the data. The result showed that internal factors such as farmer group activity, farmer group cohessivity, interaction among farmer group, the structure of Gapoktan’s organization, and leadership had positive and significant correlation with Gapoktan performance. While the position of farmer group, farmer group participation, and desicion making process had non significant correlation with Gapoktan performance. The external factors such as goverment policy, relationship with the other institution, capital loan, and extension intensity had positive and significant correlation with Gapoktan performance. Meanwhile, the change agent (PPL) performance had non significant correlation with Gapoktan performance. Most of variable both internal and external factors had a positive and significant relation to each others.Keywords: performance, associatian of farmer group, Gapoktan

Abstract

The objective of the research is to describe and analyze implementation and rate of adopted artificial insemination (AI) innovation on slaughter cattle’s farmers. Specifically, the objectives are to describe (1) the characteristics of internal and external of slaughter cattle’s farmers, (2) the implementation and the rate of AI’s adoption, and (3) the relationship of internal and external characteristics of slaughter cattle’s farmers and adoption of AI. The research is conducted at Kecamatan Geger Kabupaten Bangkalan and Kecamatan Mantup Kabupaten Lamongan in East Java Province and at Kecamatan Penebel Kabupaten Tabanan in Bali Province. This research is designed as a correlational descreptive survey. The number of sample is 240 respondents and using stratified random sampling method. Data collection is completed using questionnaires, interview and field observation. Structural equation modeling is applied to analyze the relationship and the influence pattern among variables. The average of AI implementation aspects by the farmers is 51.1% and the average of the rate of AI adoption is 2.39 years. The internal and external characteristic of slaughter cattle’s farmer simultaneously are directly and positively influence the implementation of AI and the rate of AI adoption.Keywords: cattle breeding policy, perception, artificial insemination

Abstract

The general objective of the research is to describe and analyze implementation of adopted artificial insemination (AI) innovation on slaughter cattle’s farmers. Specifically, is to describe and analyze the perception of slaughter cattle’s farmers on AI in the three locations of research. Locations of the research are Kecamatan Geger Kabupaten Bangkalan and Kecamatan Mantup Kabupaten Lamongan in East Java Province and Kecamatan Penebel Kabupaten Tabanan in Bali Province. This research was designed as a correlation descriptive survey by both quantitative and qualitative approach. The number of sample is 240 respondents -who is the acceptors of AI- and by approach of stratified random sampling method. Data collection was completed with questionnaires, interview and field observation. Kruskal-Wallis Test and U Mann-Whitney Test were applied to analyze the data sample. The result of the research showed that the perception of the farmers on most of AI’s aspects are significantly different among locations of the research, with the exception of the phenotipe (physical appearance) of breed cattle and the artificial insemination services by inseminators. To be suggested that socialization or extension on AI should be conducted by different approaches to fit the characteristic of internal and external and AI’s perception of the farmers.Keywords: Perception, artificial insemination

Abstract

The teacher is a strategic factor in the learning process. For that teachers must have good skills, especially the ability to communicate, because the whole learning process is closely related to communication. But the reality has not been able to optimize the ability of the teacher to the students of boys and girls. This study aims to develop the communication behavior of a gender responsive teachers. The study was designed as ekplanatory survey research conducted by two hundred the number of respondents using Taro Yamane formula. This research was conducted in the city of Padang and Padang Pariaman since June-December 2013. Results showed that the strategy of development of gender responsive teacher communication behaviors through strengthening the internal and external factors.Keywords: teacher, strategies, gender responsive, learning process

Abstract

The study aims to: (1) analyze the capacity of cocoa farmers ex-coalmining in Sawahlunto and (2) analyze factors that corrrelated with the capacity of cocoa farmers ex-coalmining in Sawahlunto. This research used survey method and was conducted in Sawahlunto City, West Sumatera on Desember 2014-February 2015. Numbers of sample this research are 70 respondents and used descriptive and correlational rank Spearman analysis. The results of this research showed that: (1) capacity of cocoa farmers ex-coalmining in production, marketing, farming management, problem solving and enviromental adaptation process was low, and (2) low capacity of cocoa farmer ex-coalmining in Sawahlunto correlated with formal education of farmers that only until elementary school, farming experience of farmers is still limited so their knowledge and skill to farm is low , extension support to give information for farmer is not maximal, the role of farmer groups to help farmers seeking farming information is still low and local goverment support to facilitating the needs of farmers is not optimal.Keywords: capacity, coalmining, cocoa farmer, extension support

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis: 1) persepsi mahasiswa terhadap kesadaran gender; 2) hubungan antara sosialisasi primer (jenis kelamin, agama, suku bangsa, tingkat pendidikan orang tua, orang tua pekerjaan, dan tingkat gaji orang tua),) dengan persepsi mahasiswa terhadap kesadaran gender; 3) hubungan antara sosialisasi sekunder (daerah tempat tinggal, aktivitas organisasi, interaksi media massa, hubungan dengan teman, kelas gender dan kuliah pengembangan, dan indeks prestasi kumulatif) dengan persepsi mahasiswa terhadap kesadaran gender. Sampel dari penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa dari Fakultas Ekologi Manusia, Departemen Sains Komunikasi dan Pengembangan Masyarakat. Penelitian ini dimulai pada Mei sampai Juni 2009 menggunakan jumlah sampel 70 responden. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan SPSS 14. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Persepsi mahasiswa terhadap kesadaran gender yang tinggi (39 responden) dan lain-lain (31 responden) memiliki tingkat persepsi media mahasiswa pada kesadaran gender; 2) Sosialisasi primer yang memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan persepsi mahasiswa terhadap kesadaran gender hanya seks dan yang lain tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan persepsi mahasiswa terhadap kesadaran gender; 3) semua sosialisasi sekunder (ruang tamu, aktivitas organisasi, interaksi media massa, hubungan dengan teman, kelas gender dan kuliah pengembangan, dan prestasi indeks kumulatif) tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan persepsi mahasiswa pada kesadaran gender Kata kunci: Persepsi, kesadaran jender, sosialisasi primer, sosialisasi sekunder, tingkat intelektual

Abstract

Industri rumahan selama ini kurang memiliki kemampuan untuk bersaing di pasar, disebabkan karena rendahnya tingkat pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan kapabilitas terhadap penguasaan  tekonologi serta akses permodalan, padahal keberadaannya memiliki posisi penting dalam perekonomian nasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui peran modal sosial mikro dan meso serta permasalahannya terhadap kemandirian perempuan perdesaan pelaku industri rumahan emping melinjo.  Penelitian dilakukan di Provinsi Banten,  dengan sampel sebanyak 453 orang,  terdiri dari; 154 orang di zona industri, 147 orang di zona pertanian dan 152 orang di zona pariwisata dari 6.857 orang perempuan perdesaan pelaku industri rumahan emping melinjo.  Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif, one way anova, dan Struktural Equation Modeling (SEM).  Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kemandirian, tingkat kapasitas, modal sosial meso dan modal sosial mikro perempuan persdesaan berada pada kategori sedang.  Model hibryd menunjukkan bahwa kemandirian perempuan perdesaan 43,0 % dipengaruhi secara langsung maupun oleh modal sosial meso, dan tingkat kapasitas, sedangkan modal sosial mikro berpengaruh melalui bekerjanya tingkat kapasitas. Tingkat kemandirian perempuan perdesaan ditentukan melalaui aspek  pengambilan keputusan, kerjasama, kedinamisan usaha dan akses permodalan.  Strategi peningkatan kemandirian dilakukan melalui penguatan modal sosial meso, terutama dukungan infrastruktur dan materi penyuluhan, yang memiliki pengaruh tidak langsung  pada penguatan modal sosial mikro dan  tingkat kapasitas perempuan perdesaan.Kata kunci :  Industri rumahan emping melinjo, Modal sosial mikro, Modal sosial meso, tingkat kapasitas dan tingkat kemandirian perempuan perdesaan

Abstract

Sektor pertanian memegang peranan yang sangat penting dalam pembangunan. Adanya kultur masyarakat yang menempatkan perempuan dengan perspektif tertentu mengakibatkan terjadinya bias gender dalam kegiatan usahatani. Partisipasi petani sangat diperlukan untuk mewujudkan ketahanan pangan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis tingkat partisipasi petani Pajale perspektif gender dan  menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat partisipasi petani dalam usahatani padi, jagung, dan kedelai perspektif gender. Penelitian dilakukan mulai bulan April sampai Juni 2017. Lokasi Penelitian di Kabupaten Pandeglang dan Kabupaten Lebak Provinsi Banten. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah suami istri petani padi, jagung, dan kedelai sebanyak 216 keluarga petani. Data yang dikumpulkan dan diolah dengan statistik inferensi yaitu Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) LISREL 8.72 dan Mann Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: ciri  kepribadian petani, intensitas pemberdayaan, ketersediaan informasi pertanian, dan dukungan terhadap lingkungan fisik dan sosio-ekonom mempengaruhi partisipasi petani persprktif gender. Dengan demikian model partisipasi petani perspektif gender dapat tercapai dengan cara meningkatkan kepribadian petani, meningkatkan  intensitas pemberdayaan, ketersediaan informasi pertanian yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan petani, serta dukungan lingkungan fisik dan sosial ekonomi.

Abstract

Extension agents can make social media learning media without having to rely on conventional media and the support of relevant institutions. The purpose of this research was analyze the effect of institutional support and social media utilization on increasing the competency of agricultural extension agents. The unit of research analysis is agricultural extension agents. The research was determined by the census method that all agricultural extension agents in Riau Islands Province were 90 people. Data collection was carried out through questionnaire interviews, in-depth interviews, and observations. Analysis of the data in the study included: (1) Descriptive analysis in the form of frequency distribution, percentage and average score with the help of Microsoft Excel and Statistical Package for The Social Science (SPSS) version 20.0. and (2) Inferential analysis with Partial Least Square (PLS) through the help of the SmartPLS 3.0 application. The results showed that institutional support, use of social media, and competency of agricultural extension agents were in the low category. Institutional support and the use of social media have a direct and very real effect on the competency of agricultural extension agents.     Keywords: competency of extension agents, institutional support, social media ABSTRAKPenyuluh dapat menjadikan media sosial sebagai media belajar tanpa harus bergantung pada media konvensional dan dukungan lembaga terkait. Penelitian bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh dukungan lembaga dan pemanfaaatan media sosial terhadap kompetensi penyuluh pertanian. Penelitian dilakukan pada Juni sampai Oktober 2019 di Provinsi Kepulauan Riau. Unit analisis penelitian adalah penyuluh pertanian. Unit analisis penelitian adalah penyuluh pertanian di Provinsi Kepulauan Riau yang berjumlah 90 orang. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara terstruktur dan didukung pengamatan langsung terhadap 90 orang penyuluh dengan menggunakan alat bantu kuesioner. Analisis data dalam penelitian mencakup: (1) analisis deskriptif berupa distribusi frekuensi, persentase dan rataan skor dengan Statistical Package for The Social Science (SPSS) versi 20.0 dan (2) analisis inferensial dengan Partial Least Square (PLS) menggunakan SmartPLS 3.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dukungan lembaga dan pemanfaatan media sosial berpengaruh secara langsung dan sangat nyata terhadap kompetensi penyuluh pertanian. Dukungan lembaga berada pada kategori rendah, sedangkan media sosial dalam kategori sedang namun belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal oleh penyuluh pertanian.Kata kunci: dukungan lembaga, kompetensi penyuluh, media sosial

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to analyze the key success factors of the yogurt business and recommend strategies to increase brand loyalty and customer satisfaction at PT Yummy Food Utama. The method used in this research was descriptive analysis method with case study approach at PT Yummy Food Utama with descriptive analysis, PESTEL framework, and Porter’s five forces. The result of descriptive analysis shows that the key success factors of yogurt business at PT Yummy Food Utama in terms of the behavior of the importance of consuming yogurt, accessibility products, and acceptability of the products are understanding the benefits of consuming yogurt, brand loyalty and product quality while the result of PESTEL framework and Porter’s five forces shows the strategies that has to be done by PT Yummy Food Utama on brand loyalty and customer satisfaction are retaining and maintaining the quality of products, educating the public and delivering the benefits of the importance of consuming yogurt, increasing the popularity of the product through the promotion by using electronic media (television advertising), establishing communication with consumers, opening up a free hotline "24 hours 7 days" and reproducing the flavors of products.Keywords: yoghurt, key success factor, brand loyalty, customer satisfaction, PESTEL framework, Porter’s Five ForcesABSTRAKPenelitian in bertujuan menganalisis faktor kunci keberhasilan dari bisnis yogurt dan merumuskan strategi untuk meningkatkan brand loyalty dan customer satisfaction pada PT Yummy Food Utama. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dalam bentuk studi kasus pada PT Yummy Food Utama dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif, kerangka PESTEL dan Porter’s five forces. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan faktor-faktor kunci keberhasilan bisnis yogurt PT Yummy Food Utama ditinjau dari perilaku pentingnya mengkonsumsi yogurt, aksessibilitas produk dan akseptabilitas produk adalah pemahaman manfaat mengkonsumsi yogurt, brand loyalty dan kualitas produk. Sedangkan dari hasil analisis PESTEL dan Porter’s Five Forces menunjukkan strategi yang harus dilakukan oleh PT Yummy Food Utama dalam meningkatkan brand loyalty dan customer satisfaction antara lain: mempertahankan dan menjaga kualitas produk, mengedukasi masyarakat dan menyampaikan manfaat akan pentingnya mengkonsumsi yogurt, meningkatkan popularitas produk melalui media promosi elektronik (iklan di televisi), membangun komunikasi dengan konsumen, membuka hotline gratis “24 jam 7 hari” dan memperbanyak varian rasa produk.Kata kunci: yogurt, faktor kunci keberhasilan, brand loyalty, customer satisfaction, PESTEL, Porter’s five forces.
