Abstract

In Islam the term economic development is the process of allaviating poverty and provision of ease, comfort and decency in life (A process that has the effect of reducing the level of poverty and creating peace, comfort and moral system in life). One approach is to reduce poverty with the existence of Islamic Financial Institutions where capital springs for micro, small and medium enterprises are flowed from there. Islamic microfinance institutions in their activities will offer products and services by applying Islamic values, which will provide benefits to the community. This research uses library research with efforts to search for literature references related to those related to the subject matter discussed descriptively. Then of course there is a big gamble if Islamic Financial Institutions do not carry out their main role or only profit-oriented, the Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector, which is very important for the nation's economy, will be hampered and constrained, and Islamic economic development is only on the horizon of hope.

Abstract

This study analyzes the dynamics of digital geopolitics in the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) payment system as a form of Indonesia's resistance against the United States' global financial hegemony. Using descriptive qualitative research methods with a library research approach, this study examines the United States' criticism of QRIS in the National Trade Estimate 2025 report and Indonesia's response. The research findings indicate that QRIS represents Indonesia's digital sovereignty strategy that challenges the dominance of US-based global payment systems. US criticism of QRIS, which is considered to limit foreign companies' access, actually strengthens Indonesia's digital nationalism narrative. QRIS implementation has reached 56.3 million users with 38.1 million MSMEs in the first quarter of 2025, demonstrating the success of digital financial inclusion. The expansion of QRIS to Japan, China, and other Asian countries starting in August 2025 proves that Indonesia has successfully built an alternative payment system that does not depend on Western financial infrastructure. Indonesia's resistance to US pressure through QRIS marks a transformation from object to subject in the global financial architecture, while strengthening Indonesia's position as a regional digital power.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of zakat literacy and trust on zakat payment intention, with digital literacy serving as a moderating variable. The research employs a quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS analysis. Data were collected from 35 respondents through a structured questionnaire using a 5-point Likert scale. The study variables include zakat literacy (LZ), trust (KP), zakat payment intention (MZ), and digital literacy (LD) as moderating variable. The measurement model evaluation shows satisfactory construct validity and reliability with all factor loadings exceeding 0.7, composite reliability values above 0.8, and AVE values above 0.5. The structural model reveals that zakat literacy significantly influences zakat payment intention (β = 0.342, p < 0.05), while trust demonstrates an even stronger effect (β = 0.458, p < 0.01). Digital literacy significantly moderates both relationships, strengthening the zakat literacy-intention relationship from 0.342 to 0.598 for high digital literacy individuals, and enhancing the trust-intention relationship from 0.458 to 0.647. The model explains 67.3% of variance in zakat payment intention. The findings contribute to understanding factors that enhance zakat collection effectiveness in the digital era, providing practical implications for zakat institutions to develop digital-based strategies for improving zakat collection and management. Keywords: zakat literacy, trust, payment intention, digital literacy, moderation effect, SmartPLS

Abstract

The emergence of financial technology has fundamentally transformed the traditional lending landscape, challenging centuries-old banking paradigms and creating new competitive dynamics within the financial services sector. This qualitative descriptive study examines how fintech lending platforms are reshaping financial institutions across global markets, analyzing the multidimensional impact on traditional banks, credit unions, and other financial intermediaries. Through systematic analysis of industry developments, regulatory changes, and institutional responses from 2015 to 2025, this research explores the comprehensive transformation occurring within the financial services ecosystem. The study reveals that fintech lending has catalyzed significant changes in operational models, customer engagement strategies, risk assessment methodologies, and competitive positioning of traditional financial institutions. The research demonstrates that rather than merely displacing traditional banks, fintech lending has forced a fundamental reimagining of how financial services are conceived, delivered, and regulated. Key findings indicate that successful financial institutions are those that have embraced hybrid approaches, combining traditional banking strengths with fintech innovations to create enhanced value propositions for their customers. The study also reveals significant variations in adaptation strategies across different geographic regions and institutional sizes, with larger banks generally having more resources to invest in transformation initiatives while smaller institutions often pursue partnership strategies. The research concludes that the future of financial services will be characterized by ecosystem-based approaches where traditional boundaries between banks and technology companies become increasingly blurred, requiring new regulatory frameworks and business models to address emerging challenges and opportunities in the digital financial landscape.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of Influencer Marketing, Fear of Missing Out (FOMO), and Trust on crypto asset purchase decisions among Generation Z participants in the Discord Miracle Class community. The research employed quantitative methodology and applied Partial Least Squares (PLS) analysis using SmartPLS software version 4.1.0.9. Data were collected from 94 respondents who are active members of the Discord Miracle Class community through online questionnaires. The results demonstrated that Influencer Marketing had a positive and significant effect on crypto asset purchase decisions among Generation Z (path coefficient = 0.421, p < 0.05). FOMO also exhibited a positive and significant effect on crypto asset purchase decisions (path coefficient = 0.312, p < 0.05). Similarly, Trust showed a positive and significant influence on crypto asset purchase decisions in the same demographic (path coefficient = 0.389, p < 0.05). The combined effect of these three variables explained 72% of the variance in purchase decisions (R² = 0.720). This study contributes to the development of literature in digital consumer behavior and financial technology adoption, particularly in the context of crypto asset investment among Generation Z. The findings provide valuable insights for marketers, financial institutions, and policymakers in understanding the psychological and social factors that drive cryptocurrency investment decisions among young digital natives.
