Thepurpose of this study was to analyze the effect of a caring-based supportive educative intervention on selfcare management of hypertensive sufferers. This research design is quasi-experimental. The population was71 elderly people with hypertension with simple random sampling, 66 samples were divided into 2 groups, namely the treatment group as many as 33 people who were given caring-based supportive educativeintervention, and as many as 33 control groups were given leaflets about hypertension. The results of thestudy were based on the independent t-test score of self care management in the treatment and controlgroups after the intervention, namely p = 0.000. The difference in the delta score of self care managementscores in the treatment and control groups after the intervention is p = 0.000. The results of this studyindicate that caring-based supportive educative interventions are effective in improving self-caremanagement of hypertensive patients, this intervention can be a promotional effort to increase self-careindependence in hypertensive sufferers.

One of the risk factors for diabetes mellitus is the level of knowledge, support from health workers, and behavior to prevent gangrene. Purpose:  The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge, support from health workers and the behavior of preventing gangrene in patients with diabetes mellitus. Method:  This study uses a type of quantitative research in the form of correlation with a cross sectional research design. the population is teenagers to the elderly aged 20 to > 70 years at the Dasuk Health Center. A sample of 37 people at the Dasuk  Health Center, using a simple random sampling technique. Collecting data using a questionnaire on the level of knowledge, support from health workers and gangrene wound prevention behavior.  The variables studied were the level of knowledge and support of health workers as the dependent variable and the independent variable was gangrene wound prevention behavior. Analysis of the data used is statistical test Spearmen rho correlation. Result: The results showed that almost half of the diabetes mellitus patients at the Dasuk Health Center had 25 levels of knowledge with gangrene wound prevention behavior, while the support of health workers with gangrene wound prevention behavior was 21. The results of statistical test analysis using Spearman correlation showed p = 0.000 known that p < (0.05). Conclusion: there is a relationship between the level of knowledge, support from health workers and the behavior of preventing gangrene from diabetes mellitus patients. The researcher's suggestion should be for the puskesmas to further increase the provision of in-depth information to patients about the prevention of diabetes mellitus as one of the successes of diabetes mellitus therapy.

Abstract

Leprosy is still a health problem in endemic countries, one of which is Indonesia. It is caused by the lack of information about leprosy, which affects the self-care management of leprosy sufferers to increase the risk of leprosy severity. Leprosy is a chronic granular infection caused by the obligate intracellular organism M. leprae. These germs initially attack the peripheral nervous system, then the skin, mucosa, respiratory tract, retinal system, eyes, retina, bones, and tissues. This study aims to determine the relationship of information on self-care management in leprosy patients in the Sumenep Regency. This type of research was an observational analysis using a cross-sectional study approach. The population was 32 respondents, with a sample of 30 respondents. The sampling technique used simple random sampling. Data collection used a questionnaire, and data analysis used Rho Spearman with a significance level of p<0.005. The analysis result obtained significance, or the value of information availability (0.000) was much more standard significant than 0.05 or (p < a), then H0 was rejected, and H1 was accepted, which means that there is a relationship between information and self-care management in leprosy patients. Information can affect self-care management in leprosy patients. Self-care management has an important role in preventing the severity and transmission of leprosy. With enough information, leprosy patients can carry out good self-care- management and reduce the impact of leprosy effectively.

Abstract

Background: reproduction is an important aspect in health development, especially for adolescents who are in the transition period from childhood to adulthood. Adolescents in coastal areas often face unique challenges that impact their knowledge of reproductive health. These factors can be social, economic, cultural, as well as access to information and health services Methods: This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to teenagers in coastal areas. Respondents were randomly selected from several middle and high schools in the area. Data analysis was carried out using statistical software to identify factors that significantly influence adolescent reproductive health knowledge . Results: The results of the study show that factors such as parental education, access to information (0.000), the role of schools (0.037), and peer (0.000) influence significantly influence the level of reproductive health knowledge of adolescents in coastal areas. On the other hand , cultural and economic values of the family also play an important role, but their impact varies more depending on the specific context of each community Conclusion: Knowledge of adolescent reproductive health in coastal areas is influenced by various interrelated factors. Efforts to increase this knowledge must include a holistic approach, involving parental education, increasing access to information, strengthening the role of schools, and addressing cultural norms that hinder it. Intervention programs that focus on teacher training, health campaigns through the media, and improving health facilities in coastal areas can help increase knowledge of adolescent reproductive health.

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is breast milk given to babies from birth for 6 (six) months, without adding and/or replacing it with other foods or drinks. Breast milk contains many nutrients, including albumin, fat, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, growth factors, hormones, enzymes, immune substances, and white blood cells in the right and balanced portions. The composition of breast milk is specific to each mother, changes and differs from time to time according to the baby's needs at that time. One of the obstacles to exclusive breastfeeding is the mother's low level of knowledge. The method used to increase this knowledge is by providing counseling in the form of interactive lectures and showing videos, while implementing behavior is carried out through exercises or simulations. Before the counseling was carried out, a pretest was carried out on mothers of reproductive age who were participants in community service. After being given counseling, a post test was carried out to see the increase in mother's knowledge. From the pretest results it was found that 40% did not have a good understanding of exclusive breastfeeding. After being given counseling, there was a significant increase in participants' understanding, namely 80%. The conclusion of this community service is that after receiving counseling, there was an increase in understanding regarding exclusive breastfeeding among mothers of reproductive age in Aengdake village.
