Abstract

The distribution of refined sugar (RS) for small and medium industries (SMI) of the food has suffered a lot of misappropriation. To overcome it, the government will implement the auction system. The purposes of this research are 1) to identify conditions and problems the distribution of RS for SMI of food; 2) to know the readiness of SMI of food in facing RS auction system; and 3) to provide recommendations for improvement of the RS auction system. This research was conducted in Yogyakarta Province on November 2017. Research respondents are Industry and Trade Offices in DIY, food association, SMI of food and RS distributors. The problems in the distribution of RS are SMI didn’t know about the rules of RS distribution, the distribution of RS is not according to government regulations and the food association was unable to accommodate the trade of RS. SMI hasn’t been able to participate in the auction system so it needs 1) the government conducts of socialization and supervision of the RS trading system; 2) SMI establishes business units and obtain capital facilitations and 3) the government gives authorizes for BULOG to distribute RS.

Abstract

The main problems of the community in the Poncosari Village are they do not know how to optimally the local potentials and do not know the development of information technology. The aims of this activity are to optimize the potential of the garden in Poncosari Village for agricultural activities and the empowerment of farmer women groups in Poncosari Village in managing smart agriculture. This activity was carried out in Poncosari Village, Srandakan Subdistrict, Bantul Regency in March until August 2019. The method used was a Focus Group Discussion, counseling, training and assistance, demonstration plot, and evaluation and monitoring. The results of this activity show that most people have started to cultivate their gardens with vegetables. The Poncosari Village community also began to recognize and actively use the Desa Apps to consult farming and marketing issues.

Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 tidak hanya membawa permasalahan terkait persebaran virus saja tetapi juga fenomena infodemik yang mengiringinya. Infodemik menjadi lebih berbahaya dari virus itu sendiri karena dapat merusak respon kesehatan masyarakat dan mengurangi kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap otoritas pemerintah dan kesehatan. Hal ini terjadi akibat disinformasi yang dikonsumsi masyarakat. Informasi akurat menjadi suatu urgensi yang perlu diupayakan oleh pemerintah sebagai pemilik dan pembuat kebijakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji upaya Pemerintah Kabupaten Klaten dalam membangun informasi akurat untuk melawan infodemik. Metode penelitian ini merupakan studikualitatif dengan observasi dan wawancara mendalam pada Humas Pemerintah di Kabupaten Klaten yang memiliki tingkat fatalitas tertinggi selama kuartal awal PPKM Darurat Level 4. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat lima kriteria informasi akurat yaitu sumber, waktu, kaidah jurnalistik, berbasis wilayah, dan paraf pimpinan yang diterapkan sebagai salah satu upaya dalam membangun informasi akurat COVID-19. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam merumuskan implikasi kebijakan yang berpotensi berguna dalam penanganan infodemik di tingkat lokal dan nasional.

Abstract

When quality education is not always accessible for youth in rural areas, non-formal education has provided a key alternative for the character and career of youth in villages. This role of non-formal education has been enhanced recently by the distribution of government village funds. Non-formal education has had a key role in the development of youth in villages. This paper elaborates on the role of village funds (dana desa) and non-formal education in managing agribusiness supported by village youth in Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta. This paper is based on mixed research method that combined quantitative and qualitative methods of data collection. Samples were taken by proportionally in five villages in three sub-districts with a total sample of 60 village youth using simple random sampling. Quantitatively, the data is processed using multiple linear regression analysis, and qualitative data is analysed by simple descriptive. The results show that the dominant use of the fillage fund for infrastructure and lack of allocation for agriculture and youth empowerment activities. Nonetheless, the use of the village fund allocations to improve village roads has provided access and transportation of crops, and this can supports the sustainable management of organic zalacca agribusiness. Additionally, the improved management of the sustainable agribusiness made possible by the road construction. Ultimately, this paper points at the importance of youth attitude in the prospect of organic zalacca agribusiness.Keywords: Non-formal education; Organic zallaca; Sustainable agribusiness managemen; Village funds (dana desa); Village youth.
