<![CDATA[A growing number of language teaching studies have started to consider the role of technology in teaching writing. Moreover, recent work in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) class has highlighted the importance of introducing visual media in an effort to help students improve their writing skills. The present study aims at investigating the effect of Canva on students’ writing skills. To this end, forty-four Indonesian EFL students were selected and assigned randomly to two writing classes, namely control and experimental groups. Before the treatment, both groups had a pre-test. During the sessions of instruction, both classes were taught by adopting Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) approach. However, in the experimental group, in order to help students to explore their writing ideas, they were asked to use Canva as media of writing. After the treatment, both groups had a post-test. Then, the number of writing errors made by students from both groups were compared using ANCOVA. The results showed that students in the experimental group had a significantly lower number of writing errors compared to the control group, which confirmed the positive effect of Canva in improving students’ writing skills.]]>

<![CDATA[Pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan tema Literasi Makanan Sehat bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kewaspadaan para guru hingga siswanya agar memperhatikan tidak hanya kebersihan makanan tetapi juga nutrisi yang terdapat dalam makanan sehingga nantinya pertumbuhan dan perkembangan para siswa tidak bermasalah. Kegiatan ini disampaikan melalui metode ceramah, demonstrasi dan permainan yang dilaksanakan selama 2 hari. Hasil dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah peningkatan dan pemahaman guru dan siswa SDN Bojong Nangka 1 Bogor terhadap pentingnya makanan sehat di lingkungan sekolah.]]>

<![CDATA[Mengetahui pengembangan kemampuan motorik halus melaluikegiatan meniru pada anak usia dini, merupakan tujuan darihasil penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) ini, melalui riset langsungdengan sampel kelompok B di PAUD Ar-Rohman JakartaTimur Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019. Metode yang digunakanadalah metode meniru tulisan, teknik pengumpulan data yaitudengan observasi dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakandalam 3 siklus dalam 3 hari penelitian terdiri dari 4 tahap, yaitu:perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Siklus pertamayaitu pertemuan. Teknik analisis komparatif untukmembandingkan kemampuan anak setiap siklusnya yaitudengan persentase keberhasilan. Hasil penelitian inimenunjukkan terjadi peningkatan 5% tiap siklus yaitu akhirhasil terdapat 37 peserta didik mengalami peningkatan menulisyang cukup signifikan, dibandingkan pada observasi awal hanya17 peserta didik dari 40 yang mampu menulis. Hal inimenunjukkan bahwa kemampuan motorik halus anakmengalami peningkatan melalui kegiatan meniru tulisan. Inidapat dilihat dari persentase hasil observasi kemampuanmotorik halus anak.]]>

<![CDATA[Critical thinking is regarded as a critical issue to solve. Students should be equipped by critical thinking due to its pivotal position in developing students’ language competence. However, this issue remains unsolved for many obstacles occurring at classroom learning. Explicit Direct Instruction (EDI) is claimed as one of the methods contributing to successful critical thinking development. The present research aimed at portraying how EDI directed students to enhance their critical thinking and EDI implementation in writing persuasive essay. The present research employed qualitative approach with case study method. The subjects involved in this research were 20 of 3rd-year students of a private college in East Jakarta. The instruments used to collect the data were observation, interview, and document analysis. The findings of the research indicated that: 1) EDI assisted the students with the promotion of their critical thinking in the argument analysis by the reinforcement provided by re-teaching and CFU with T-APPLE concept, and 2) EDI was implemented based on the seven components of its lesson design and in conjunction with a variety of learning strategies. To these extents, EDI implementation in writing class has specifically enlighten one of critical writing dimensions. Research on EDI effectiveness quantitatively is adjured.]]>

<![CDATA[Kita harus menyadari bahwa membaca mempunyai peranan sosial yang sangat penting dalam kehidupan manusia sepanjang masa. Mengapa demikian? Pertama, membaca itu merupakan suatu alat komunikasi yang sangat di perlukan dalam suatu masyarakat berbudaya. Kedua bahan bacaan yang dihasilkan dalam setiap kurun kurun zaman dalam sejarah sebagian besar dipengaruhi oleh latar belakang sosial tempatnya berkembang itu. Ketiga, sepanjang masa sejarah yang terekam, membaca telah membuahkan dua kutub yang amat berbeda. Kutub pertama adalah membaca merupakan suatu pemersatu yang baik, karena cenderung mempersatukan pengalaman umum yang seolah-olah dialami sendiri dan dengan menanamkan sikap-sikap, ide-ide, minat-minat, dan aspirasi-aspirasi umum. Kutub kedua, membaca itu telah bertindak sebagai suatu daya pemecah belah, yang senderung mempertajam perbedaan-perbedaan antar kelompok sosial dengan jalan merangsang serta mempertebal perbedaan pendapat-pendapat mereka. Demikianlah,membaca itu telah membuahkan kutub-kutub yang baik yang kontruktif maupun destruktif.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this research is to investigate the influence of trust and job satisfaction on teachers’ Organizational Citizenship Behavior in Junior High School of Private Districts Tangerang. The research used survey method applied in testing hypothesis. Technique of data collecting used questionnaire. There were 273 teachers used as samples and selected by simple random sampling. For data analysis Structural Equation Model (SEM) was used to get more detailed results related to trust, job satisfaction and Organizational Citizenship Behavior variables. The result of the research indicated that 1) there was a direct positive effect of trust to teachers’ Organizational Citizenship Behavior; 2) there was a direct positive effect of job satisfaction to teachers’ Organizational Citizenship Behavior; and 3) there was a direct positive effect of trust to job satisfaction.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the cohesion marker used in the Cinta Suci Zahrana novel especially in the last chapter titled Cinta Suci Zahrana. This research uses qualitative research method with content analysis technique. The data in this research is cohesion in Novel Cinta Suci Zahrana by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. The source of data is the novel of Cinta Suci Zahrana by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. The data on the cohesion in the novel of the Cinta Suci Zahrana by Habiburrahman El Shirazy is analyzed by steps in tracking the relationship of every two sentences in pairs, ie the relationship between a sentence with a preceding sentence characterized by the use of the cohesion marker. The results of research based on cohesion mechanisms between the sentences contained in the novel Cinta Suci Zahrana by Habiburrahman El Shirazy there is a grammatical cohesion which includes referring, replacing, and sequencing. <![CDATA[The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of managerial ability and creativity on headmaster’s decision making in Junior High School of Counties and Tangerang City.The research used survey method with path analysis applied in testing hypothesis. Technique of data collecting is using instrument from questionnaire. The number of 60 headmaster’s sample was selected by simple random sampling.The result of this research indicated that: 1) there is a direct positive effect of managerial ability to headmaster’s decision making, 2) there is a direct positive effect of creativity to headmaster’s decision making and 3) there is a direct positive effect of managerial ability to creativity. Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemampuan manajerial dan kreatifitas terhadap pengambilan keputusan kepala sekolah di SMP Negeri dan Kota Tangerang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan analisis jalur yang diterapkan dalam pengujian hipotesis. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen dari kuesioner. Jumlah sampel 60 kepala sekolah dipilih dengan simple random sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) ada pengaruh positif langsung dari kemampuan manajerial terhadap pengambilan keputusan kepala sekolah, 2) ada pengaruh positif langsung kreatifitas terhadap keputusan kepala sekolah. membuat dan 3) ada efek positif langsung dari kemampuan manajerial terhadap kreatifitas Kata Kunci: Pengambilan Keputusan, Kemampuan Manajerial dan Kreatifitas]]>

<![CDATA[Knowing the development of fine motoric skills through imitation activities in early childhood is the goal of the results of this classroom action research (PTK), through direct research with a sample of group B at PAUD ArRohman East Jakarta for the 2018/2019 academic year. The method used is the method of imitating writing, data collection techniques by observation and documentation. This research was conducted in 3 cycles in 3 days. The research consisted of 4 stages, namely: planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The first cycle is meeting. The comparative analysis technique is to compare the child's ability for each cycle, namely the percentage of success. The results of this study showed that there was an increase of 5% per cycle, namely the end of the results there were 37 students who experienced a significant increase in writing, compared to the initial observation, and only 17 students out of 40 were able to write. This shows that the fine motoric skills of children have increased through imitating writing activities. This can be seen from the percentage of the results of the observation of children's fine motoric skills. Keywords: Children's Fine Motoric, Writing Imitation Method, PTK.]]>
