Abstract

Written batik artwork is a cultural heritage that has high value and reflects the local wisdom of an area. Batu City, as one of the cities in Indonesia which is rich in cultural diversity and tradition, has local wisdom which is reflected in its written batik artwork. This study aims to analyze the local wisdom of Batu City in written batik artwork, using an ethnoscience study approach.The research method used is this approach using qualitative descriptive research. The subject of this study was an Ethnoscience Study based on Local Wisdom on Written Batik Art in Anjani Batik. The results of the study show that written batik artworks in Batu City contain various local wisdom values. The process of making written batik involves traditional knowledge passed down from generation to generation, such as selecting motifs, using natural colors, and fabric processing techniques.Ethnoscientific studies provide a deeper understanding of the local wisdom of Batu City in written batik artwork. This research can be the basis for appreciating and preserving the cultural heritage of Batu City and encouraging the development of a sustainable written batik industry. In addition, this research can also provide insight for artists, craftsmen, and art observers in exploring local wisdom values ​​in written batik artworks in other areas.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of learning styles in differentiated learning in IPAS learning as an optimization of the Merdeka curriculum. The number of informants in this study was four, consisting of one fourth-grade teacher and three fourth-grade students. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative methods, data collection through interviews with grade IV teachers and three students with different learning styles, observation in learning, learning style questionnaires to grade IV students, and documentation. Data validity test using triangulation techniques and sources. Data analysis techniques follow the Miles and Huberman procedure, which has three methods: data reduction in the context of this study in the form of interview results, observations, and learning style questionnaire results, presentation of data from the reduction results presented in the form of descriptive tables and narratives, the last is concluding. The findings of the analysis show that learning styles have a significant effect on the achievement of learning objectives through a differentiated approach. Several learning styles were identified after being given a learning style questionnaire to class IV students. The results show that the majority of students have a visual learning style (58%), kinesthetic learning style (28%), and auditory learning style (18%). By applying the four aspects and steps of differentiated learning, learning is more focused and enjoyable for students. This can increase students' motivation and engagement in learning and help them achieve better academic results. This research contributes to developing more effective learning strategies in the independent curriculum. Differentiated learning serves as a bridge to create a learning experience that suits students' interests and needs by customizing methods based on learning styles. It also helps improve the effectiveness of the learning process by paying attention to each student's learning preferences.

Abstract

Science literacy is a crucial skill in the era of globalization that allows someone to understand and apply science concepts in everyday life. In the Indonesian School of Kuala Lumpur (SIKL) Malaysia. The urgency of this study is to improve students' science literacy is very much needed to support academic achievement and 21st century competencies. One of the effective media to achieve this goal is picture stories. This media is able to attract students' interest while increasing their understanding of science concepts in an interactive and fun way. Therefore, this study emphasizes the importance of developing picture stories based on science literacy of SIKL Malaysia students. The purpose of this study was to develop valid and interesting picture stories based on science literacy. The development model used is ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Data collection techniques used interview and questionnaire techniques. The research instruments include interview sheets, validation questionnaires, and student response questionnaires. Data analysis techniques include media validity analysis and media appeal analysis. The picture stories have been validated by material experts and media experts. The results of the validation of material experts obtained 91.6% with valid criteria. Furthermore, the results of the media expert validation obtained 78% with valid criteria with revision. After the revision of the picture story, a second media expert validation was carried out. The results of the media expert validation were 92% with valid criteria. After the validation was completed, the picture story product was implemented on students of the Indonesian School Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Based on the student response questionnaire, students obtained 91% with interesting criteria. The development of picture story media based on scientific literacy was declared valid and interesting to be used as learning for students of the Indonesian School Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Abstract

In the 21st century, the development of smartphone media is a tool for students to learn online. During the Covid-19 pandemic, SD Muhammadiyah 8 Dau found it difficult to do online learning. SD Muhammadiyah 8 Dau has used media with various learning methods for offline learning, but online learning media is still very limited. The results of the interviews also showed that in class IV there was no media for learning children's stories that were in accordance with the applicable curriculum. In addition, whether the learning media for children's stories based on strengthening character education has been effective and influential. In accordance with the government's recommendation, namely the cultivation of character education in elementary schools. The purpose of this study was to measure the effect of using android applications as a learning device based on strengthening character education on student learning outcomes. The design of this research is pretest-posttest-group design, with a simple random sampling method that is determined based on the results of the pretest. The results of the study were strengthened by the results of the analysis through the SPSS program which showed the results of the average pretest score of 79.38 and the posttest average value of 84.38. In addition, the T-test results in the Sig.(2-Tailed) table have a value of 0.150 where the value is > 0.05. So it can be stated that there is an effect of using the android application for children's stories on the learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 8 Dau. Keywords: Android Applications, Children's Stories, Strengthening Character Education, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Identitas gender adalah hal penting dalam proses membentuk karakter siswa sehingga penting untuk dikenalkan sejak dini. Salah satu cara efektif dalam proses belajar siswa, menggunakan cerita bergambar dianggap sebagai media yang efektif untuk menyampaikan pesan-pesan atau informasi mengenai konsep ini terhadap siswa dasar karena memiliki ilustrasi yang dan narasi yang menarik. Pelatihan ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru Sekolah Indonesia Kuala Lumpur (SIKL) Malaysia dalam menulis cerita bergambar berbasis Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Metode pelatihan ini dilakukan dalam satu kali tatap muka yang mencakup materi pengenalan identitas gender, dan struktur cerita, pengembangan karakter, dan yang dipadukan dengan nilai-nilai Pancasila. Setelah pelatihan, tim pengabdi dan guru-guru peserta pelatihan menghasilkan draf cerita bergambar yang mengangkat tema keberagaman dan inklusivitas. Cerita-cerita ini dirancang untuk mendukung pembelajaran siswa dalam memahami identitas gender dan meningkatkan literasi.Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta terhadap materi yang diajarkan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan serupa dapat diterapkan di berbagai institusi pendidikan untuk mendukung pembelajaran berbasis karakter dan inklusivitas.
