Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of security and order policies in suppressing criminal acts in the Anak Air Padang Class IIB Correctional Institution. The research is based on the fact that various violations and criminal acts are still found in prisons even though regulations and operational standards have been implemented. The research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach through interview, observation, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out using George C's policy implementation theory. Edwards III which includes communication, resources, executive disposition, and bureaucratic structure. The research results show that the security and order policy has been implemented in accordance with the applicable provisions, but it is not optimal due to limited human resources, overcrowding conditions, and limited security facilities. The main contribution of this study lies in strengthening the analysis of the implementation of security policies in correctional institutions as a total institution, as well as the provision of policy recommendations that are applicable in nature for improving the correctional security system.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of digital technology has significantly transformed communication, learning, and social interaction, while simultaneously generating ethical challenges among young people, including misinformation, cyberbullying, hate speech, privacy violations, and irresponsible online behavior. Despite the growing importance of digital ethics, existing Islamic Religious Education practices tend to emphasize cognitive and doctrinal aspects of religion while providing limited guidance for navigating ethical challenges in digital environments. This study aims to examine the Qur'anic foundations of digital adab through thematic exegesis (tafsir maudhu'i) and to analyze their implications for Islamic Religious Education in the digital age. Employing a qualitative library research design, the study analyzes selected Qur'anic verses and contemporary literature on digital ethics, digital citizenship, and Islamic education using thematic content analysis. The findings identify five interconnected dimensions of Qur'anic digital adab: tabayyun (information verification), qaulan sadidan (truthful communication), qaulan layyinan (respectful and compassionate interaction), protection of human dignity and privacy, and digital responsibility and ethical accountability. The study reveals that these values provide a comprehensive ethical framework capable of addressing contemporary digital challenges while fostering responsible online participation and moral character development. The findings further demonstrate that the influence of these Qur'anic principles extends beyond personal morality and offers practical guidance for cultivating ethical digital citizenship among Muslim learners. The novelty of this study lies in the development of an integrated conceptual framework of Qur'anic digital adab that synthesizes classical Islamic ethical teachings with contemporary digital ethics and character education. This study contributes theoretically by enriching the emerging discourse on Islamic digital ethics and contributes practically by providing a framework for integrating digital adab into Islamic Religious Education curricula, digital literacy programs, and character education initiatives aimed at preparing ethically responsible Muslim digital citizens in the twenty-first century.

Abstract

The dependence of the office load at PT XYZ on Diesel Power Plants (DPPs) in a mini-grid electricity system creates the need for an alternative energy supply that is more efficient, reliable, and compatible with local solar potential. The present study aims to design and analyze the performance of a battery-based off-grid Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant (SPP) to independently supply office electricity demand by considering the load profile, photovoltaic module configuration, controller/MPPT converter, battery capacity, module orientation, and system losses. The method consists of daily load profile analysis, the use of Meteonorm meteorological data for the Sungailimau site, fixed module orientation with a tilt angle of 5° and an azimuth of 0°, and stand-alone system simulation using PVsyst V8.1.2. The proposed system consists of 200 Longi Solar modules rated at 560 Wp, with a total installed capacity of 112 kWp, The solar power system is designed in a modular configuration consisting of 4 PV blocks. Each block consists of 5 strings connected in parallel, with each string comprising 10 PV modules connected in series. The total system configuration consists of 20 strings., an MPPT converter-based controller, and a BYD Box Premium HVM 22.1 lithium-ion LFP battery storage system with 368,6 kWh of stored energy. The simulation results show 105.989 kWh/year of useful solar energy, 151.191 kWh/year of available solar energy, 49.213 kWh/year of unused energy, a performance ratio of 56,64%, a solar fraction of approximately 92,33%, and 1.856 kWh/year missing energy.
