Abstract

This study examines the influence of the quality of education and skills of prospective Indonesia Labor from West Sumatra on income. Wage income is expected equivalent to the level of wage labor which comes from other countries. Therefore, in order to obtain equal wage, prospective Indonesian labors sent abroad should be a good level of education, skill trained so that labor productivity increased. The method used in this study is Test Crosstab, and, Chi Square test to see the effect between the two variables used. It is shown that Indonesian labors do not able to compete in terms of quality of education and skills, compared to foreign labors, so that the income received by the Indonesian labor is lower. In addition, professional job that has been chosen by the Indonesian labor is the operator, profession which does not necessarily require a high level of educational and skills qualifications.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive study with the aim to produce a model of planning for therecruitment and training of the institution in creating a professional labor export. The methodologyused by the technique of collecting data through surveys, koesioner, and interviews, the sample isprospective migrants who apply through the recruitment agency in West Sumatra. The resultswere obtained that the model include the need to pay attention to the existence of recruitment, thecharacteristics of the workers, paperwork / documents TKI, giving skills / expertise of workers andthe provision of debriefing Final Departure (PAP) before workers dispatched. From the analysisconducted that models used give a significant effect of more than fifty percent. This means that thismodel should be applied against those involved in sending workers abroad, namely recruitmentand skills training institutes place. As for the government of this model can be used as a referencein making a policy in sending workers abroad in order to minimize problems abroad.

Abstract

Nagari menjadi salah satu unit wilayah terkecil yang ada di pemerintahan yang secara mandiri melakukan pengelolaan dalam mengembangkan pemberdayaan ekonomi khususnya pengelolaan usaha nagari. Usaha ini sudah mulai berkembang secara pesat dan menjadi salah satu daya tarik. Dengan adanya potensi usaha yang dimiliki oleh nagari, maka perlu manajemen pengelolaan yang baik agar setiap pengelolaan usaha nagari berdampak terhadap perekonomian nagari itu sendiri. Nagari Talang Babungo memiliki potensi usaha yang memiliki nilai yang tinggi, tetapi masih belum maksimal dan utuh melakukan kegiatan manajemen pengelolaan usaha nagari. Untuk itu, perlu daya kreativitas dan motivasi yang tinggi dari semua aspek dan pihak yang ada di dalam nagari untuk bersama-sama menggerakkan manajemen pengelolaan usaha nagari agar setiap kegiatan yang dilaksanakan dapat memperbaiki kondisi perekonomian masyarakat yang ada di lingkungan sekitar masyarakat nagari. Tentunya hal ini dapat tercapai apabila didukung oleh pengembangan keterampilan dari sumberdaya manusia yang ada agar menambah pengetahuannya dalam mengelola usaha nagari demi menciptakan manfaat bagi semua masyarakat di dalam nagari. Abstract

The company always expects good performance for employees, because employees are the key to success for the company. In order to get qualified employees, it is necessary to pay attention to the procedures for recruitment and selection. The purpose of the study was to find out how much the impact of recruitment and selection on increasing the work productivity of employees of the Settlement Development Unit of West Sumatra Province. The research method used is quantitative research methods. The population in this study were all employees of the Settlement Development Unit of West Sumatra Province totaling 48 employees. The sampling technique is the total sampling method that is using the entire population as the study sample. The data analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the research obtained explain that recruitment and selection have a significant impact on the productivity of employees of the Settlement Development Unit of West Sumatra Province.
