Abstract

Pemberdayaan dan kesejahteraan keluarga (PKK) adalah gerakan nasional pembangunan masyarakat yang tumbuh dari bawah ke atas, menyelenggarakan pemerintahan di lingkungan masyarakat sekitar untuk kesejahteraan bersama. Penyelenggaraan PKK merupakan salah satu tugas pemerintah desa atau kelurahan. Setiap desa atau kelurahan memiliki kelompok PKK yang mendukung pemerintah desa atau kelurahan dalam pengelolaan kependudukan dan pembangunan wilayah. Salah satunya desa/kampung purworejo kecamatan kota gajah kabupaten lampung tengah. Kampung purworejo adalah desa yang memiliki peranan penting dalam memberdayakan wanita untuk berpartisipasi dalam pembangunan desa dengan organisasi PKK yang dicanangkan pemerintah. Organisasi PKK memiliki sebuah struktur organisasi. PKK juga mempunyai sebuah kelompok kerja (POKJA) dan setiap POKJA memegang peranan kegiatan yang berbeda. Selama kegiatan PKK saat ini rekap hasil kegiatan dilakukan secara manual di buku sekretaris. Dengan berkembangnya sistem informasi, proses pencatatan dan pendokumentasian kegiatan PKK harus terekap secara rapi dan terorganisir. Untuk memberikan solusi maka perlunya dikembangkan Sistem Informasi berbasis website. Hasil dari Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini adalah sistem informasi PKK berbasis website yang mencakup keseluruhan kegiatan PKK, termasuk diantaranya pendataan anggota, penyajian informasi dan dokumentasi kegiatan setiap POKJA yang akan membantu para petugas dalam menjalankan tugasnya dengan baik.

Abstract

This research was conducted to investigate the future English teachers’ perspective towards the implementation of e-learning in Covid-19 pandemic era. There were 60 respondents involved in this research. A survey method was carried out in this research. The data of this research was collected by distributing a questionnaire. The questionnaire was formulated based on the theories about the pros and cons of the e-learning implementation. Descriptive analysis was done to analyzed this research data. The data of this research was transformed into percentage. The result of this research showed that the future English teachers find e-learning is beneficial for them, but still have some lacks to overcome. Besides, the subjects of this research are aware of things they need to prepare before they conduct e-learning, and they also suggest the stakeholders in Indonesia to improve the technology development to support the e-learning implementation.

Abstract

The present study was focused on the teacher’s perceives on the implementation of genre-based approach (GBA) in teaching writing in one of senior high schools in Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia. The objectives of this study are to explain; 1) The teacher’s perceptions on the practice of the genre-based approach in teaching writing, 2) the matters faced by English teacher, 3) the solutions regarding the problems faced by the teacher. This research was qualitative. The data were collected by implementing questionnaire and interview. The sample of this study was one teacher in Surakarta by using purposive sampling technique. Writers used a model of triangulation process consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion to collect and analyze the data. The results showed that; 1) the teacher had positive perception using GBA in teaching writing, 2) there were problems faced by the teacher such as the ease of internet access so that the students could not show their own ideas, and 3) the teachers’ suggestion was that the teacher should be up to date with the newest topic and give motivation to the students to express their own ideas.

Abstract

The logical fallacies that emerged in the 2024 Indonesian vice-presidential candidate debates is interested. By analyzing debate through a descriptive qualitative approach and employing Damer's (2009) classification theory, the study evaluates the presence of unconvincing arguments in the discourse of the three vice-presidential candidates. Logical fallacies, which are errors in reasoning, can obscure listeners and impact comprehension and the quality of arguments in a debate. Data were collected by transcribing argumentative speeches from two YouTube videos of the debates. There were 120 utterances produced by the three vice-presidential candidates. From 120 utterances, 60 logical fallacies were found. The findings reveal that the most prevalent logical fallacies included red herrings (16.67%), where candidates diverted attention from relevant topics to irrelevant ones.  Ad hominem attacks (11.67%) were also common. Additionally, appeals to authority (11.67%) cited influential figures to support his argument on "ecological repentance," without strengthening the logical foundation of his argument. This research underscores the importance of recognizing cognitive biases that can undermine argument objectivity. The study highlights the need for heightened awareness of rhetorical manipulation among speakers and audiences to foster a more critical and informed debate culture. The study contributes to political communication studies by providing insights into the rhetorical strategies used in Indonesian political debates and their implications for democratic engagement. The prevalence of logical fallacies points to the necessity for improved debate standards to enhance rational political discourse, ultimately benefiting the democratic process by encouraging informed and constructive participation

Abstract

Indonesia is classified as a country vulnerable to natural disasters, including tsunamis. The information about pre-disaster knowledge and tsunami preparedness needs to be passed on to the public, especially children. Earthquakes and tsunamis can happen at any time and hit anyone, including children, so it's important to conduct disaster education in schools. But in the event of a disaster, schools in the area must be vacant and replaced by volunteers of hatred. So hatred volunteers like Muhammadiyah Disaster Management Center are the right institutions to give educational games for hatred education. The activities of dedication to this community are carried out in three stages: 1) Design and production of toys and educational games; 2) Design trials for partners; and 3) Analysis of the results of the SUS (System Usability Scale) of partners. The results of this activity are toy design and education games that are well designed and accepted by MDMC partners Lampung and have SUS scores quite good with design 2 (Category B, 74.8) and design 3 (Category B, 71.1). However, design 1 still has a score below the average standard and requires improvement before it can be used in the field as one of the alternative educational media for tsunami prevention.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui unsur motivasi yang terkandung di dalam novel Sang Pemanah karya Paolo Coelho beserta penjelasannya. Adapun masalah dalam penelitian ini untuk mengetahui analogi busur panah sebagai unsur motivasi yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai motivasi diri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik studi pustaka serta pendekatan sosiologi sastra dan interpretasi penulis, terdapat 4 unsur motivasi yaitu tujuan (goal), kegigihan (persistency), usaha (effort), dan intensitas (frequency). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa unsur motivasi hidup yang terdapat dalam novel Sang Pemanah yaitu kerja keras, kegigihan, usaha atau latihan secara terus-menerus dan tujuan yang jelas dapat dianalogikan dengan baik untuk menjadi motivasi dalam berjuang menggapai cita-cita yang diharapkan. Kemudian, unsur tujuan ditemukan secara dominan dalam data yang telah diolah dalam novel Sang Pemanah. Selain itu, terdapat penjelasan analogi berlatih menggunakan anak panah dan busurnya yang dijabarkan secara mendetail di dalam novel.
