Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Servant Leadership Learning dengan strategi Concept Mapping (SLL+CM) terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan berpikir kritis siswa kelas X SMA Kolese De Britto Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan eksperimen semu dengan desain nonequivalent subject, control group-pretest posttest design. Pendekatan ini menggunakan tiga kelas eksperimen, yaitu kelas SLL+CM, kelas SLL, kelas CM, dan satu kelas kontrol menggunakan pendekatan konvensional. Populasi infinite siswa kelas X yang terbagi dalam 7 kelas. Sampel menggunakan 4 kelas dengan penarikan sampling teknik samples of convenience. Sungai Gajah Wong digunakan sebagai objek pembelajaran. Untuk menguji pengaruh model pembelajaran digunakan uji Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) dengan asumsi dasar normalitas, homogenitas, dan regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran SLL+CM memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan berpikir kritis siswa. The Effect of the Servant Leadership Learning with Concept Mapping on the Concept Understanding and Critical Thinking Students AbstractThis study aimed to find out the effect of the Servant Leadership Learning model with the Concept Mapping strategy (SLL+CM) on the concept understanding and critical thinking skill of Grade X students of SMA Kolese De Britto Yogyakarta. This was a quasi-experimental study using the nonequivalent subject, control group-pretest posttest design. This approach involved three experimental classes, namely the SLL+CM class, SLL class, and CM class, and one control class using the convenience approach. Gajah Wong river was used as a learning object. Population infinite all Grade X students in seven classes. The research sample, consisting of four classes, was samples convenience. To test the effect of the learning models, the Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) with normality, homogenity, and regression asumptions. The results of the study was SLL+CM had significant effect on the concept understanding and critical thinking skill students.

Abstract

The study aims at developing the Thinking Actively in Social Contexts (TASC) and the fit manual book for improving the students’ creative thinking skills. Within the conduct of the study, the 4D (Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate) had been adopted. First, the Define stage consisted of curriculum analysis, students’ characteristics analysis, students’ activities analysis and learning objectives and materials analysis. Second, the Design stage consisted of media selection, manual book format design and preliminary product prototype manufacture. Third, the Develop stage consisted of manual book prototype development with expert judgment and development test (limited experiment and expanded experiment). Fourth, the Disseminate stage consisted of manual book distribution after the manual book had been revised by the given party. Then, the results of the study show that both the TASC learning model and the manual book have been fit for improving the students’ creative thinking skills. Based on the post-test results that have been analysed using the gain-score test and the t-test, it might be concluded that the students’ creative thinking skills have fallen into the “High” category. In other words, the TASC learning model provides learning opportunity for the students based on the social context of the farming problems.

Abstract

Self-regulated learning is a very important aspect of 21st-century learning. However, from the results of previous research and observations that have been made, it is known that the self-regulated learning of students is still in the low category. The purpose of this study was to analyze the self-regulated learning of students through the implementation of an e-module assisted by an integrated Liveworksheet to the local potential of Toraja in the interaction of living things with the environment. The type of research used is descriptive analysis, and the instrument used consists of a self-regulated learning questionnaire, interview guidelines, and observation sheets. The sample technique used was purposive sampling with 32 students of SMP Negeri 1 Rantepao as sample. The results showed that the aspect of don’t depend on other people had an average percentage is 62% (medium), an initiative is 65% (medium), discipline is 77% (high), the responsibility is 83% (high), self-confidence is 71% (high), setting study goals is 67% (medium), and evaluation is 71% (high). The overall average of students' self-regulated learning is in the high category, with a percentage is 70.85%. The use of learning media is very important in training students' self-regulated learning, so teachers are expected to be more innovative in using interactive learning resources

Abstract

This research is focused on the use of different instructional media in learning activities. The aims of this research were to determine the impacts of different instructional media on students learning achievements, to investigate the values of significant difference among the used instructional media, and to investigate the equity distribution of learning outcomes in each class, with experimental research class design. The data collected from class with photographs and with videos as the instructional media, each class consists of 30 students. Then, the data were compared with three classes that used real objects as the instructional media. These classes consist of 29, 39, and 46 students. The research instruments to measure students learning achievements were tested for their validity and reliability with Quest Program. Normality test was carried out using Shapiro-Wilk, and homogeneity test used ANOVA. Then the analysis data of learning outcomes was administered using Kruskal-Wallis. The results show that the three classes which used real objects lead to better learning outcomes and smaller standard deviation value which shows the evenness of students learning achievements. Therefore, real objects have positive effects on student learning achievements in the ecosystem succession learning materials. The implication of this research is biology learning outcomes will be better if you use biology objects directly.

Abstract

Outdoor Learning has been recognized as a learning strategy to be learned and applied in enhancing students science process skills and awareness. However, the problem of waste management is the biggest challenge because it has not been realized in vocational high schools. Students science process skills and awareness are needed to develop the student's potential insight, attitude, and employability skills. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between science process skills and awareness using the outdoor learning process. The research type is a quasi-experiment. Samples were obtained from students and used purposive sampling. The essay instrument consists of 10 items developed of science process skills. Awareness is measured using a test questionnaire consisting of 19 items. The collected data were analyzed through prerequisite, Independent Sample test T-Test, Gain Score, multivariate analysis of Variance (MANOVA), and Pearson correlation tests. The result showed that the outdoor learning application enables to increase between science process skills and awareness aspects. The test results of each class Showed that the difference significant. It means there was a positive relation, shown by a significant score of 0.042 with 0.05 standard. The results of the analysis show the Pearson correlation value of the two variables is 0.291, it can be interpreted that the relationship between the two variables has a low relationship, but the average response value of awareness after learning increased compared before learning in the two treatment groups.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan: (1) kelayakan dan (2) efektifitas LKPD IPA berbasis project based-learning (PjBL) terintegrasi potensi lokal Gunung Ijen dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep lapisan Bumi dan berpikir kreatif peserta didik. Penelitian ini mengacu pada model pengembangan 4D. Uji coba empiris dilakukan pada satu kelas eksperimen terdiri dari 28 siswa dan satu kelas kontrol terdiri dari 24 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKPD IPA berbasis PjBL terintegrasi potensi lokal Gunung Ijen layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan berpikir kreatif peserta didik dengan kategori sangat baik dengan skor sebesar 3,75 menurut validator ahli materi dan 3,68 menurut validator ahli media. LKPD IPA tersebut efektif meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan berpikir kreatif dengan signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (sig 0,05). Pemanfaatan produk dapat digunakan untuk sekolah-sekolah di sekitar kawasan Gunung Ijen. Sekolah yang jauh dari kawasan Gunung Ijen, dapat melakukan modifikasi tentang potensi lokal sesuai dengan daerah masing-masing. Mount Ijen's local potential to understanding concept and creative thinking of disaster risk reduction AbstractThis study aims to reveal: (1) the feasibility and (2) effectiveness of Project Based-Learning (PjBL)-based science student worksheet (LKPD) integrated to Mount Ijen’s local potential in improving the students’ understanding of Earth layer concept and creative thinking.This study refers to the the development model of 4D. The empirical trial was conducted to one experimental class consisting of 28 students and one control class consisting of 24 students. The results show that the developed PjBL-based science LKPD integrated to Mount Ijen’s local potential is worthy of being used as teaching materials by improving the concepts and creative thinking of student understanding with a very good category with the final score of 3.75 according to the material expert validator and 3.68 according to the media expert validator. The developed science LKPD is significantly effective in improving students' understanding of concepts and creative thinking at the significance level of 0.000 (sig 0.05). It can be used for schools around the area of Mount Ijen. For schools that are extremely far from Mount Ijen, the modifications can be made about the local potential according to their respective regions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan dan kelayakan web-LKS IPA terintegrasi lingkungan lahan gambut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model 4D (define, design, develop, dan disseminate) dan desain penelitian pretest posttest control group design. Penilaian kelayakan produk web-LKS IPA dilakukan oleh ahli materi, ahli media untuk kelayakan produk, guru IPA sebagai penilai kepraktisan dan respon siswa untuk mengetahui keterbacaan produk. Perolehan skor hasil penilaian kelayakan oleh ahli materi sebesar 53 (sangat baik) pada skor maksimal 56, oleh ahli media sebesar 38 (sangat baik) pada skor maksimal 40 dan penilaian kepraktisan oleh guru IPA dengan skor 53 (sangat baik) pada skor maksimal 56. Uji keterbacaan oleh siswa memperoleh persentase sebesar 95% dengan respon positif. Hasil skor gain ternormalisasi menunjukkan peningkatan dalam pembelajaran dengan perolehan skor rata-rata sebesar 0,51 pada kelas eksperimen dan tergolong pada kategori tinggi. Uji independent sample t test digunakan untuk mengetahui keefektifan dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 ( 0.05). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran IPA dengan menggunakan web-LKS IPA terintegrasi lingkungan lahan gambut efektif meningkatkan literasi lingkungan siswa SMP Negeri 1 Pelaihari. Web-LKS natural science integrated local potential of peatlands to increase student environmental literacy  AbstractThis study aims to determine the effectiveness and feasibility of an integrated IPA LKS web environment. This research is a development research with a 4D model (define, design, develop, and disseminate) and a pretest posttest control group design. Assessment of the feasibility of science-based LKS web products is carried out by material experts, media experts for product feasibility, science teachers as assessors of practicality and student responses to know the readability of the product. The score obtained by the feasibility assessment by material experts was 53 (very good) at a maximum score of 56, by media experts at 38 (very good) at a maximum score of 40 and practicality assessment by science teachers with a score of 53 (very good) at a maximum score of 56. Readability test by students gets a percentage of 95% with a positive response. The normalized gain score results showed an increase in learning with the acquisition of an average score of 0.51 in the experimental class and belonging to the high category. The independent sample t test was used to determine effectiveness with a significance value of 0,000 ( 0.05). The results showed that science learning by using an integrated science-based LKS web environment effectively improved peatland environmental literacy of Pelaihari 1 Junior High School students.

Abstract

The difference between agroforestry and monoculture planting system is the presence of organic materials input from the canopy tree or the roots. The study aimed to determine factors affecting micro-climate conditions, soil nutrients of C, N and to identify the influence of sengon plantation on snake fruits productivity. This research used the observation method and was conducted in Gadung village, Bangunkerto, Turi. The treatments were the location used pattern monoculture system (control), agroforestry with trees along borders (AFS), and full trees (AFT). The soil was sampled compositely one diagonal. Analyses descriptive and regressions were used to analyze data of the soil nutrient with the treatment and fruit productivity. The results showed that the presence of Sengon on salak plantation influenced micro-climates conditions due to canopy cover by sengon. A location AFT showed the highest value of C-org (1.7%), and N (0.1%) in all plots. Meanwhile, the productivity of fruits on the monoculture system showed the highest fruit production that was 1150 kg/ha. However, the results were not significantly different from AFS and AFT. Abstract

Conventional learning models that still dominate the science learning process have a negative impact on learning psychology and student learning outcomes, for example the lecture method. In addition, the integration of local knowledge in learning almost done because the teacher thought local knowledge of science content is not relevant to modern science. This study has the prospect to develop an integrated learning tools nested models based on local wisdom phinisi boat. Products developed focuses on improving communication skills and conceptual knowledge of students. Adapting product development methods development framework Dick and Carey to modify it in 5 stages. Stages of needs analysis, product design, product development, product implementation and evaluation, and the final product. The results of product development tested in a limited class of the class VII SMPN 32 Bulukumba the 15 students who have been selected by purposive sampling. The choice of subjects represented each of 5 students with low, medium, and high abilities. Primary data were obtained from the assessment of the product by 2 experts and through the assessment questionnaire. The feasibility of the product in the category "very high". The syllabus has a validity level of 94.00%, RPP 93.75%, LKPD 96.00%, and assessment instruments 95.00%. Response practitioners and learners in the category ratings "high" and "very high" throughout the assessment indicators. In the implementation phase, learning nested models based on local wisdom boat phinisi provide more space for students to express their knowledge and digging skills
