Abstract

Abstract: The Analysis of Motivational Factors of High School Students in Attending Course Institutions at Malang City. The purpose of this research is to find new factors, to know the contribution level of each factor, and to find the most dominant factor of high school students in attending course institutions at Malang City. This research uses quantitative approach with descriptive exploratory research design. The research found that there were 9 new factors that is: (a) assessment factor, (b) recognition factor, (c) punishment factor, (d) ability factor, (e) success factor, (f) ridicule factor, (g) social needs factor, (h) appreciation factor, and (i) competition factor. Keywords: motivation of high school students, attending course institutions at Malang CityAbstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menemukan faktor-faktor baru, mengetahui tingkat kontribusi masing-masing faktor, dan menemukan faktor yang paling dominan pada peserta didik SMA dalam mengikuti bimbingan belajar di luar sekolah Se-Kota Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan rancangan penelitian bersifat deskriptif eksploratori. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa terdapat 9 faktor baru yaitu: (a) faktor penilaian, (b) faktor pengakuan, (c) faktor hukuman, (d) faktor kemampuan, (e) faktor keberhasilan, (f) faktor ejekan, (g) faktor kebutuhan sosial, (h) faktor penghargaan, dan (i) faktor persaingan. Kata kunci: motivasi peserta didik SMA, mengikuti bimbingan belajar di luar sekolah

Abstract

This study aims to determine the efforts of principals in improving the quality of primary schools through the development of quality teachers in elementary schools. This research was conducted using qualitative methods with interview techniques. The subject of this study was the principal of the elementary school in Malang Regency. The results of the study showed that the efforts of principals in developing the quality of elementary school teachers have three indicators including (1) teacher motivation, (2) teacher personality, and (3) teacher skills. All indicators have been implemented except that in the implementation of the teacher quality development program there are still some obstacles and the result are less than expected. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui upaya kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu sekolah dasar melalui pengembangan kualitas guru di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Malang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa upaya kepala sekolah dalam mengembangkan kualitas guru sekolah dasar terkait dengan tiga indikator, antara lain (1) motivasi guru, (2) kepribadian guru, dan (3) keterampilan guru. Semua indikator sudah dilaksanakan, hanya saja dalam pelaksanaan program pengembangan kualitas guru masih terdapat beberapa hambatan dan hasilnya kurang maksimal.
