Abstract

Terdapat pemahaman konsep yang rendah pada salah satu SMP Negeri di Kota Singkawang, yang ditandai dengan nilai yang jauh dari standar KKN. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) untuk menggambarkan penggunaan self-efficacy terhadap pengambilan keputusan siswa SMP dalam menyelesaikan masalah konseptual; 2) untuk menggambarkan korelasi antara self-efficacy terhadap penyelesaian masalah konseptual siswa. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII di salah satu SMP di Kota Singkawang. Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengambilan sampel adalah purposive sampling. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah self-efficacy dan pemahaman konsep. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) bahwa self-efficacy dapat menggambarkan siswa ditandai pada tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep. Implikasi ini dapat dijelaskan dalam beberapa kategori. Kategori self-efficacy yang positif: dua siswa, nilai yang lebih tinggi dan self-efficacy yang lebih tinggi. Kategori self-efficacy yang positif: 1 siswa, nilai yang lebih rendah dan self-efficacy yang lebih rendah. Kategori self-efficacy yang negatif: 1 siswa, nilai lebih rendah tetapi self-efficacy lebih tinggi. Kategori self-efficacy negatif: 3 siswa, nilai lebih tinggi tetapi self-efficacy lebih rendah; 2) hubungan antara self-efficacy terhadap pemahaman konsep masuk pada tingkat hubungan yang sangat erat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran mengenai peningkatan aspek pemahaman konsep siswa setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) pada materi suhu dan kalor. Penelitian menggunakan metode weak-experiment design dengan desain penelitian one group pretest-posttest design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII disalah satu MTS Singkawang dengan teknik pengambilan sampel berupa teknik cluster sampling. Penelitian dilakukan di kelas VII H yang berjumlah 23 orang siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes pemahaman konsep objektif 18 pilihan ganda. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa pemahaman konsep siswa mengalami peningkatan disemua aspek. Peningkatan nilai tertinggi terdapat pada aspek pemahaman konsep menafsirkan yang nilai N-gain-nya sebesar 0,7 dengan kategori tinggi. Pada aspek mencontohkan sebesar 0,5 dengan kategori sedang, aspek mengklasifikasikan sebesar 0,4 dengan kategori sedang, aspek menyimpulkan sebesar 0,6 dengan kategori sedang, aspek membandingkan sebesar 0,3 dengan kategori sedang, dan nilai terendah terdapat pada aspek menjelaskan  yang nilai N-gain-nya sebesar 0,2 dengan kategori rendah. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi suhu dan kalor.

Abstract

The lack of residents’ awareness to advance their study to University in the border area of Jagoi Babang District, West Kalimantan, Indonesia made the pupils around the border area almost less educate or stagnant both in the numbers and quality of their education. There are many residents of the high school age was drop out or did not advance their school to university level. But ironically, almost all resident has android cellphone but it functional as calling and messaging only.This program offers an alternate solution for local resident to get access of higher education information by using their cellphones. This program called ad SMART e-Cons. This was private service that provide by our team for facilitate the local residents’ curiosity about process in higher education. Most of the local pupils has working as farmer, as cotter so it has been most difficulties for us to gather all of them in one time. Therefore, from 138 families only there are 34 family’s members had been volunteer for this program. And this was reasoning why our team has decided to deliver the SMART e-Cons sheets to their house (all of residents) include volunteer that present in main session.This program was implemented by using the method of coordination, implementation to reporting. These activities can also contribute to increase information about the importance of education in university which certainly has many entry channels including through scholarships.This program’s result that 53% resident able to access the link and able to give feedback for the team, 50% able to access the link only, and 100% resident able to give feedback only (doesn’t know to click the link).Finally, our purpose to give a brief explanation for local residents of Gersik Village about entrances university both in country and overseas university without worries about tuitions fee and sort of kinds.

Abstract

The purpose of service programs was designed for water filter by using kerubung sand. The method of designing the water purification was literature study on the specifics articles that related to the simple water purification process with the slow water filter method. The development of the filter method by the service team using the kerubung sand. The service teams’ considerations in choosing local materials as the main component as water purification because it was easy to get, less price event some things can be obtained for free because they were available in the wild, or it can be made easily. The results of the water purification design by using the slow water method with kerubung sand had been proportion of 15: 4: 4: 1 with the types of materials were kerubung sand, zeolite sand, the palm fiber, and activated carbon, respectively. It is hoped that the successful creation of the water purification design composition of the slow water method using kerubung sand will make the quality of water produced from the filter process better than before. The addition output of this service program was the publication of copyright certificate of the manual book for slow water purification method. The conclusion that can be concluded from this design process was that the use of kerubung sand as a filter media is alleged to be a solution for filtering well water at the location of PKM partners

Abstract

This program was carried out in the Indonesia-Malaysia border area, precisely in Jagoi Babang District, Gersik Village. The purpose of holding this service is to attract the interest of elementary school students, especially in border areas in learning science. The method used in this program was in the form of scientific demonstrations using household materials (daily utensils and food ingredients) by official team to 22 elementary students at State Elementary School 04 PAUM, Paum Hamlet, Gersik Village, Jagoi Babang District, Bengkayang Regency. The projects that were demonstrated included: 1) Anti-shatter magic balloons, 2) Anti-nail magic balloons, 3) Magic Plastics, 4) Automatic balloon blowers, 5) The bending rays and, 6) Magic Glass. The results of the program shown that the students’ interest of science at State Elementary School 04 PAUM were quite positive where 90% (20 students) gave positive statements about the activity, students 5% (1 student) did not give a response, and 5% (1 student) gave a negative response to the activity of this program sequences. These results provide an early description that science lessons for elementary school age children are quite requested if they are delivered using interesting methods

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Untuk mendapatkan gambaran penurunan kuantitas siswa yang miskonsepsi pada materi kalor dan perpindahannya setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran LOI berbantuan media simulasi virtual; 2) Untuk mendapatkan gambaran respon  siswa setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran LOI berbantuan media simulasi virtual terhadap penurunan kuantitas siswa yang miskonsepsi pada materi kalor dan perpindahannya. Miskonsepsi  terjadi karena pembelajaran yang bersifat informatif dan berfukos pada hapalan dan rumus, sehingga penguasaan konsep siswa rendah.  Penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode weak -experimental design menggunakan desain one group posttes pretest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XII IPA 2 SMA Negeri 7 Singkawang. Teknik dalam pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah purposive sampling dengan jumlah 28 orang siswa. materi ajar yang dibahas adalah kalor dan perpindahannya menggunakan media simulasi virtual yaitu PheT Simulation yang dikembangkan oleh University of Colorado USA. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Four Tier-Test (FTT). Data yang diperoleh di analisis menggunakan rumus penurunan kuantitas siswa yang miskonsepsi (DQM). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran LOI berbantuan media simulasi virtual dapat menurunkan kuantitas siswa yang miskonsepsi terbesar yaitu sebesar 61% dengan kategori sedang pada bentuk miskonsepsi “ Kalor adalah suhu yang memindahkan partikel ke benda” sedangkan penurunan kuantitas siswa yang miskonsepsi terkecil sebesar 36% dengan kategori rendah pada konsep “ Massa benda/ukuran benda berbanding terbalik terhadap suhu benda”. Rata-rata tes skala sikap siswa sebesar 62,45% dengan kategori positif. Untuk penelitian selanjutnya, diharapkan peneliti menggunakan model pembelajaran LOI menggunakan eksperimen nyata dan menggunakan media simulasi virtual sebagai penguatan agar penurunan kuantitas siswa yang miskonsepsi lebih optimal.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to provide a comprehensive overview of the concepts of elasticity and vibration, based on research variables, educational levels, and teaching strategies. The article is organized based on queries conducted in reputable international databases, such as Scopus and Web of Science, using content analysis techniques, such as analyzing article identities, educational information, synthesis of used approaches, and measured variables. In the topics of elasticity and oscillation, qualitative, quantitative, and hybrid methods can be used to investigate a variety of variables, as indicated by the research findings. Among these variables are conceptual comprehension, academic achievement, and student interest. In addition, the educational level being investigated determines how elasticity and oscillation concepts are taught in the classroom. These findings highlight the significance of utilizing a variety of instructional strategies to effectively convey the concept of elasticity and oscillation to measure various variables with practical consideration on educational settings. In addition, our review provides a comprehensive list of common variables research that can serve as a valuable resource for educators and researchers seeking to enhance their elasticity and oscillation research. This systematic review highlights the need for additional research on effective teaching methods for oscillation and provides educators and researchers with useful insights.
