Abstract

Effluent digester is potential to be composted by adding organic material (organic waste, etc.) and to accelerate maturity, inoculant effective Microorganism (EM) is required as bio decomposer in fermentation. Not only to break the chain of diseases, this organic fertilizer also economic value, sold as agricultural fertilizer. The purpose of this study is to use the effluent of biogas digester for making compost. This experimental research method using a randomized design consisting of 4 formulations each treatment replicated 3 times with 30 days maturation and the compost will be carried out physical and chemical assessment. The results showed that compost with biogas effluent material: charcoal secam: sequential organic waste with a ratio of formulas: 1 (4: 1: 1); 2 (3: 1: 1); 3 (2: 1: 1) and 4 (1: 1: 1). Physical assessment of the 4 formulas, namely temperature, pH, humidity, color, odor and texture meet the requirements of SNI 19-7030-2004. Measurement of the chemical content of formula 1 (content C: 14.36%; N: 0.98; P: 1.27; K: 1.11; C/N ratio: 14.78); 2 (content C: 17.85%; N: 2.06; P: 1.21; K: 0.88; C/N ratio: 16.91); 3 (content C: 16.14%; N: 0.84; P: 1.02; K: 1.10; C/N ratio: 14.78); 4 (content C: 16.42%; N: 0.89; P: 1.15; K: 0.88; C/N ratio: 18.52). The more use of biogas effluent produced compost with N, P, K the greater is followed by a decrease in C/N ratio and met the requirements of SNI 19-7030-2004. The results of this study can be implemented by, from and for the community, in making compost that is economically beneficial, can reduce the expenditure of chemical fertilizers. renewable energy substitutes for LPG easily and at relatively low costs. Abstract

Abstract

This research is a development of previous research (2018) on the manufacture of granulated organic fertilizer. The purpose of this research is to make compost into organic fertilizer granules. To speed up composting, MOL is used. This study applied a factorial design with a factor of type of adhesive and a factor of the percentage of adhesive added. The adhesive consisted of 3 types, namely clay and molasses, while the comparison factor for the percentage of adhesive consists of 3 levels, namely 5%; 7.5% and 10%. Each treatment variation was replicated 5 times. The results showed that the bulk density was 0.4-0.6 g/cm3, the percentage of granule size was 70%-85%, water absorption was 29%-36% and the dispersion time was 13-22 hours. The levels of N = 3.48%-8.53%, P = 1.30%-2.03%, K = 0.03%-6.73% and C/N ratio = 12.92-20.45. Furthermore, it was concluded that the C/N ratio, N, P and K granules of organic fertilizer produced had met the requirements of the Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia No. 70/Permentan/SR.140/10/2011. Abstract

Waste management in Magetan Regency still uses a conventional system. Meanwhile, the amount of generated waste transported to the landfill will continue to increase along with the population growth and cause the landfill land to decrease. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential ecobricks as a solution in reducing the generation of plastic waste in Kepolorejo Urban Village, Magetan Sub district, Magetan Regency.  Sampling was carried out in accordance with SNI 19-3694-1994 at each hamlet in Kepolorejo Urban Village. Based on the results of sampling conducted on 33 families or 98 people spread across 12 hamlet in Kepolorejo Urban Village, the total waste generation generated in Kepolorejo Urban Village is 253.4 kg. the total plastic waste generation in Kepolorejo Urban Village is 18.8 kg consisting of plastic waste that can be used as ecobrick raw material, which is 11.9 kg/day and plastic waste that cannot be used as ecobrick raw material, which 6.9 kg. the value of the potential for ecobrick in reducing the generation waste in Kepolorejo is 4.6%. the number of ecobrick that can be produced in 1 year is 99.631.

Abstract

Dengue haemorrhagic fever (DHF) is one of the infectious diseases transmitted through the mosquito vector Aedes sp. Dengue disease management is still aimed at controlling the vector (Aedes aegypti) using organophosphate insecticides malation and temefos. In Magetan District, there is no report on the resistance of Ae. aegypti to organophosphate insecticides or mapping of Ae. aegypti resistance to these insecticides. The results of this research are determine the resistance of Ae. aegypti to organophosphate insecticides. The resistance system was established by biochemical test based on the activity of non-specific esterase enzyme against organophosphate insecticides in Magetan District using Arc GIS tool. The results of this study showed that Ae. aegypti in four working areas of Candirejo Health Centre from 14 villages 10 villages (71.42%) have been resistant to organophosphate insecticides, while in Taji from 11 villages 7 villages (63.63%) are resistant, in Plaosan 100% are resistant and in Ngujung from 7 villages, 3 villages (42.28%) are resistant.  The use of insecticides for a long period of time is not effective in eliminating dengue fever vectors because it can cause resistance. Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to monitor and evaluate the use of insecticides in dengue vector control as a programme at the Magetan District Health Office, so that the right insecticide can be selected for Ae. aegypti control.
