Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 24 Poleang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 30 siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 24 Poleang Tahun Pembelajaran 2020/2021. Teknik yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah tes, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data/display data dan kesimpulan/verifikasi.   Hasil penelitian diperoleh dari tes soal bentuk uraian menunjukkan bahwa dari 30 responden terdapat 1 responden dengan kemampuan koneksi matematis kategori sangat  baik, 1 responden dengan kemampuan koneksi matematis kategori baik, 1 responden dengan kemampuan koneksi matematis kategori cukup, 1 responden dengan kemampuan koneksi matematis kategori kurang, dan 26 responden dengan kemampuan koneksi matematis kategori sangat kurang . Berdasarkan hasil tes kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa perindikator diperoleh: (1) Mencari hubungan berbagai representasi konsep dan prosedur matematika dengan rata-rata 43,048; (2) Mampu mengkoneksikan hubungan antar topik matematika dengan rata-rata 29,286; (3) Mampu menggunakan matematika dalam bidang studi lain dengan rata-rata 15,238; (4) Mampu mengkoneksikan matematika dalam dunia nyata atau kehidupan sehari-hari dengan rata-rata 14,286. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa berada pada kategori sangat kurang dengan nilai rata-rata 25,464.

Abstract

The specific objectives and targets planned in the activity of community service include four things as follows: (1) Identification of essential mathematical concepts that can be taught more easily using ICT-based mathematics learning media. As a criterion, at least 50% of mathematics material in SMP / MTs can be taught with ICT-based learning media. (2) The establishment of a Mathematics Teacher Working Group (KKG) with adequate ability and knowledge in the use of ICT-based learning media. As a criterion, at least 75% of partner teachers have good knowledge in the use of ICT-based learning media in the process of learning mathematics. (3) The existence of innovative and explorative mathematics learning media products with a target of at least 90% of partner teachers mastering the material contained in the instruction module for applying ICT-based learning media. (4) There is an opportunity to develop an entrepreneurial spirit, by producing innovative ICT-based mathematics learning media that has a sale value. The methods used in achieving these objectives are (1) Teachers Working Group (KKG) mathematics with the emphasis of coaching that is mastery of ICT-based learning media that is adequate, is expected to overcome the problems of learning mathematics and be able to be a vehicle in facilitating the development of professionalism of teachers. (2) Provide training to teachers to design ICT-based mathematics learning media and implement them in learning activities.

Abstract

This experimental study aims to determine the effect of the application of the TTW learning model on the critical thinking skills of seventh grade students of MTs. Al Ikhlas Mowewe. The population in this study were all students of class VII MTs. Al Ikhlas Mowewe Academic Year 2020/2021. Sampling using a saturated sample technique. Learning outcomes data on students' mathematics were collected by using the test instrument given at the posttest. The results showed that the average value of critical thinking skills of student in class VIIA (31 students) and class VIIB (31 students) were 75 and 65. So, it’s indicates that the critical thinking ability of students who were taught using TTW learning was higher than using conventional learning. Furthermore, the results of inferential statistics analysis on hypothesis testing using the t-test have obtained the value of , indicating that   is rejected and  is accepted, it means, there is a significant difference of critical thinking skills of students by TTW learning and conventional learning. So, the conclusion of this study is that the critical thinking ability of students who are taught with TTW learning has a more positive effect than the critical thinking ability of students who are taught by conventional learning in class VII MTs. Abstract

This research aims to develop a learning device based on a guided inquiry model with Edmodo on the subject of earth structure and disasters which is appropriate to practice critical thinking skills of junior high school students. The research subjects were learning devices and class IX students of SMP Negeri 17 Kendari. This research is a development research using the Dick and Carey model. Testing the results of the development of the device in classroom learning using a one group pretest-posttest design. The data analysis technique used quantitative descriptive and qualitative descriptive. The findings from the results of this research are: The validity of learning tools is in good category, the implementation of lesson plans is in good category; the most dominant student activity during learning is making observations; student response to guided inquiry learning model with Edmodo is considered good; completeness of students' concept understanding learning outcomes, the average pretest was 16.47 and posttest was 87.06. While the students' critical thinking skills learning outcomes, the average pretest was 20.53 and posttest was 85.67. The obstacle encountered during learning is the time required to carry out learning activities beyond the specified time. Based on the discussion of the results and findings, it is concluded that the guided inquiry model learning with Edmodo tool that has been developed on the earth structure and disaster material is appropriate to be used to train the critical thinking skills of junior high school students.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes by using a learning model based on Information and Communicaton Technologies (ICT). This research is a Classroom action research qualitative research. This research method consists of: (1) planning (planning); (2) the implementation of the action (action); (3) observation and evaluation (observation and evaluation); (4) reflection (reflection). This research uses descriptive statistical data analysis involving 20 students, including 7 boys and 13 girls and using instruments in the form of student worksheets and interview guidelines for teachers and students. Based on the results of initial observations, it shows that the low learning outcomes obtained by students. This is because teachers have less ability to vary learning models/strategies, where teachers only explain the material to students and then ask questions, but only a few students have an active understanding of concepts/knowledge in learning. Based on the daily test results, before the first cycle of action, only 40% of students with an average score of 60.1 scored 70 from the KKM (Minimum Graduation Criteria), which was 75%. In the first cycle, there was an increase from the initial test which was 40% to 55% of students with an average score of 65.98 who obtained a score of 70, while in the second cycle the test also increased to 85% with an average score of 80.56 who obtained a score 70. The final result of this research is that it can improve Mathematics Learning Outcomes by Applying the ICT-based Creative Problem Solving (CPS) Learning Model.

Abstract

Tujuan serta target khusus yang direncanakan dalam kegitan pengabdian masyarakat ini meliputi empat hal sebagai berikut: (1) Teridentifikasinya konsep-konsep matematika yang esensial yang bisa diajarkan dengan lebih mudah yaitu menggunakan media pembelajaran matematika berbasis ICT. Sebagai kriterianya adalah minimal 50% materi matematika SMP/MTs dapat diajarkan dengan media pembelajaran berbaisis ICT. (2) Terbentuknya Kelompok Kerja Guru (KKG) matematika dengan kemampuan dan pengetahuan yang memadai dalam pemanfaatan media pembelajaran berbaisis ICT. Sebagai kriterianya adalah minimal 75% dari guru mitra memiliki pengetahuan yang baik dalam pemanfaatan media pembelajaran berbaisis ICT dalam proses pembelajaran matematika. (3) Adanya produk media pembelajaran matematika yang inovatif dan eksploratif dengan target minimal 90% dari guru mitra menguasai materi yang ada dalam modul petunjuk pengaplikasian media pembelajaran berbaisis ICT. (4) Adanya peluang untuk mengembangkan jiwa kewirahusahaan, dengan memproduksi media pembelajaran matematika inovatif berbasis ICT yang memiliki nilai jual. Metode yang digunakan dalam mencapai tujuan tersebut adalah (1) Pembinaan Kelompok Kerja Guru (KKG) matematika dengan penekanan pembinaan yaitu penguasaan terhadap media pembelajaran berbaisis ICT yang memadai, diharapkan dapat mengatasi permasalahan pembelajaran matematika dan mampu menjadi wahana dalam memfasilitasi pengembangan profesionalisme para guru. (2) Memberikan pelatihan kepada para guru untuk merancang media pembelajaran matematika berbasis ICT dan mengimplementasikannya dalam kegiatan pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research explores the implications of social change in the development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) within Asian countries through a comprehensive analysis of academic literature. Utilizing a bibliometric approach and thematic analysis, the study examines 980 papers published between 1922 and 2023. The thematic analysis reveals recurring terms, with "Social Change" emerging as the central focus, emphasizing the transformative impact of ICT on diverse aspects of society. Other prominent themes include "Communication," "Economic Growth," and "Social Transformation." Notably, the less occurring themes, such as "Information Society" and "Sustainable Development," signify a conceptual depth in understanding the broader societal implications of ICT. The interconnections between themes highlight the complex dynamics shaping the technological landscape in Asia. The findings provide valuable insights for researchers, policymakers, and practitioners navigating the intersection of technology and society, informing future investigations and interventions.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of integrative curriculum implementation and character education on the academic success of students in Islamic boarding schools in East Java. Utilizing a quantitative research design, the study gathered data from a sample of 150 students, employing a Likert scale ranging from 1 to 5 to measure responses. The analysis was conducted using SPSS version 25 to determine the relationship between the variables. Findings reveal a significant positive effect of both integrative curriculum and character education on academic performance. Integrative curriculum implementation (r = 0.64, p < 0.01) and character education (r = 0.58, p < 0.01) were both positively correlated with academic success. Multiple regression analysis showed that these variables together explained 52% of the variance in academic success. The results underscore the importance of a holistic educational approach that combines academic and character development to enhance student outcomes. These insights offer valuable implications for educators and policymakers aiming to improve educational strategies in Islamic boarding schools.
