Abstract

Qalb education (heart education) becomes one of the keys to cultivating and nurturing human characters. The focus of this research is to examine the concept of heart education from the perspective of KH. Sholeh Darat (1820-1903), the role of the heart in education, and the function of heart health in cultivating humans' characters. This research uses library research methods focusing on KH. Sholeh Darat’s Minhāju Al-Atqiyā'i fī Syarḥi Ma’rifati Al-Ażkiyā'i ilā Ṭarīqi Al-Auliyā'i using hermeneutic and historical approaches. The study found that the concept of heart education from KH. Sholeh Darat's perspective eliminates ignorance and seeks knowledge to make humans appreciate the understanding and implement it. Heart education is centered on two main things: mulāzamati al-Zikri (continuous dhikr) and mulāzamati tilāwati kitābullāh (continuous reading of the Qur'an). In addition, the physical transformation of education needs to be supported with humans' healthy and pure hearts. Heart therapies to support heart education include reading the Qur'an, emptying one's stomach, night prayers, tadharru' (pleading) at suhoor time, and mujālasah (gathering) with pious people. Lastly, noble teachers can accomplish heart education with perfect guidance (tarbiyatu al-shaykh al-mursyīd al-kāmil).

Abstract

Volunteering project is a social activity which has been done by youth in developing human resources in ‎their environment. It is a teaching activity that volunteers can teach  in school, that is Senior High School (SMA) ‎Theresiana Semarang. There are two kinds of class in this school, they are reular and imerci class which students in ‎imerci class understand and fluence in speaking English. This volunteering project uses teaching method such ‎conversation and public speaking. The aim of the activity is to help the students in developing their speaking ability ‎so that they can communicate using English. Hopefully, the students can speak fluently using English as their ‎provision in facing defiance of the globalization era whereas the competition of the human resources is increasingly ‎high.‎Keywords: Volunteers, Empowerment, Students, Local, Foreign

Abstract

Pengintegrasian nilai-nilai moderasi beragama ke dalam pengajaran Pancasila di sekolah dasar telah menjadi kebutuhan mendesak karena munculnya kecenderungan intoleransi dalam pergaulan siswa, sementara praktik pembelajaran di kelas seringkali tidak memberikan pengalaman yang cukup untuk menumbuhkan sikap moderat. Situasi ini menciptakan kesenjangan antara tuntutan kurikulum dan implementasi nyata di kelas, sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan implementasi nilai-nilai moderasi beragama, jenis nilai yang diintegrasikan, dan upaya guru dalam mengoptimalkan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif lapangan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi pada guru dan siswa di sekolah dasar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi nilai-nilai moderasi beragama terjadi melalui penguatan diskusi kelas, pembiasaan saling menghormati, dan mengaitkan materi Pancasila dengan situasi sosial yang dekat dengan pengalaman siswa. Guru mengimplementasikan nilai-nilai toleransi, keseimbangan, musyawarah, dan menghargai perbedaan melalui metode bercerita, kerja kelompok, dan pemanfaatan momen-momen insidental dalam dinamika kelas. Meskipun demikian, efektivitas implementasi masih dipengaruhi oleh keterbatasan pedoman, variasi kompetensi guru, dan kurangnya evaluasi berbasis karakter moderat. Temuan ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya pengembangan model pembelajaran yang lebih sistematis, pelatihan berkelanjutan bagi guru, dan dukungan kebijakan sekolah agar pembelajaran Pancasila dapat menjadi ruang strategis untuk menumbuhkan sikap moderasi beragama sejak dini.

Abstract

This study aims to uncover, analyze, and reflect on the application of religious moderation education management based on a behavioristic approach at the Fathimah Al-Amin Progressive Islamic Boarding School, Semarang. Using qualitative case study methods and triangulation techniques (in-depth interviews, participatory observations, documentation), this study identifies three main forms of the application of behavioristic habituation approaches through structured daily routines, positive reinforcement in the form of symbolic and material appreciation of moderate behavior, and modeling by authoritative figures (coaches) who consistently show tolerant and inclusive attitudes. The value of inclusivity was found to be internalized through three dimensions: curricular (integration of diversity themes in the yellow book and contemporary discussions), social (non-discriminatory policies in daily interactions), and participatory (students' deliberations in internal decision-making). However, its implementation faces three main challenges: cultural resistance from students and families who view inclusivity as a threat to the purity of faith, limited capacity of teachers to integrate behavioristic principles reflexively without being trapped in repressive disciplines, as well as external ideological pressures and epistemological shifts of the student generation that demand rational justification for habituation. Theoretically, this research makes an important contribution by showing that behavioristic approaches that are often criticized as rigid or technocratic can actually be an effective instrument in instilling religious moderation when contextualized in the Islamic value of rahmatan lil 'alamin and combined with a reflective-dialogical approach. In practical terms, these findings offer an alternative model for salaf Islamic boarding schools to reform their education systems without sacrificing traditional roots, while enriching the religious education literature based on empirical and contextual evidence.

Abstract

Manajemen strategi perlu dikelola secara optimal agar suatu lembaga pendidikan, khususnya pondok pesantren salaf, mampu beradaptasi dengan perkembangan zaman. Dengan pengelolaan yang tepat, pondok pesantren salaf dapat mempertahankan eksistensinya dan tetap diminati oleh masyarakat di era modern. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti mengambil focus permasalahan: 1) Bagaimana manajemen strategi dalam mempertahankan eksistensi Pondok Pesantren Salaf Al Fadllu Kaliwungu, Kendal di era modern, 2) Bagaimana hambatan dan peluang dalam menjaga eksistensi Pondok Pesantren Salaf Al Fadllu Kaliwungu, Kendal di era modern. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara, observasi lapangan, serta dokumentasi yang diperoleh dari sekolah. Untuk memastikan keabsahan data, digunakan teknik triangulasi dan bahan referensi sebagai pendukung. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan-tahapan berikut: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) strategi manajemen yang digunakan dalam mempertahankan eksistensi Pondok Pesantren Salaf Al Fadllu Kaliwungu, Kendal di era modern meliputi tiga tahapan yaitu dengan formulasi strategi seperti melakukan sosialisasi visi, misi, dan tujuan pesantren, mengadakan rapat awal tahun untuk menyusun program pondok pesantren. Implementasi strategi dengan merealisasikan program yang sudah dilaksanakan seperti penyusaian pesantren dengan mengadakan pengenalan dan pelatihan dasar computer untuk kelas atas. Evaluasi strategi dengan mengadakan rapat evaluasi bulanan untuk mengetahui efektivitas dari program yang sudah dirancang dan implementasikan. 2) Hambatan dan peluang dalam menjaga eksistensi Pondok Pesantren Salaf Al Fadllu Kaliwungu, Kendal mencakup kesiapan manajemen pesantren dalam menghadapi berbagai hambatan, seperti tantangan perubahan sosial global dan keterbatasan sumber daya manusia serta sarana prasarana. Selain itu, manajemen pondok juga siap memanfaatkan peluang yang ada, seperti melalui pengembangan kebijakan pendidikan dan penguatan jaringan sosial.Kata Kunci: Manajemen Strategi, Eksistensi Pondok Pesantren Salaf, Era Moder
