Abstract

Proses pembelajaran di MAS Al Hakimiyah Paringgonan masih menggunakan metode ceramah dimana guru masih terlalu sering menjelaskan panjang lebar didalam kelas sampai peserta didik banyak yang kurang semangat untuk belajar. Metode tipe quiz team merupakan metode pembelajaran dengan sistem pembagian kelompok, setiap tim bertanggung jawab untuk menyiapkan kuis jawaban singkat dan tim lainnya menggunakan waktunya untuk memeriksa catatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Penggunaan Metode Tipe Quiz Team terhadap Minat dan Hasil Belajar Biologi Kelas XI MAS Al Hakimiyah Paringgonan Kab. Padang Lawas. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain Pretest dan Posttest. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah Random Sampling. Sampel pada penelitian terdiri dari 2 kelas, yakni kelas XI-A (Kelas Eksperimen) berjumlah 36 siswa dengan metode pembelajan Tipe Quiz Team dan kelas XI-B (Kelas Kontrol) berjumlah 36 siswa dengan model pembelajaran Direct Intruction. Instrument dalam penelitian ini dalam bentuk tes berupa soal pilihan ganda sebanyak 20 butir soal. Analisis data hasil belajar peserta didik menggunakan rumus uji ttest, juga dengan bantuan aplikasi pengelolahan data yaitu Spss 21. Data rata-rata minat pada kelas eskperimen adalah 78% dan kelas kontrol adalah 56%. Kemudian untuk pretest dan posttes hasil belajar pada kelas eksperimen adalah 43,055 dan 78,888 dan kelas kontrol adalah 34,861 dan 50,694. Berdasarkan nilai rata-rata minat dan hasil belajar peserta didik maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat Pengaruh Penggunaan Metode Tipe Quiz Team Terhadap Minat dan Hasil Belajar Biologi Kelas XI MAS Al Hakimiyah Paringgonan.

Abstract

The use of learning models that are less precise and do not vary the impact on learning outcomes for low learners. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the PJBL learning model on the learning outcomes of integrated environmental pollution Islamic material. The study was conducted at MAN Tebing Tinggi in July. This type of research is quantitative. This research used a quasi-experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample of two classes of PMIPA 1 and PMIPA 2 in Man Tebing Tinggi was collected using simple random sampling techniques and subject analysis with 72 students. Test instruments used in the form of test questions conducted at the beginning of learning (pretest) and the end of learning (posttest) include as many as 25 questions. Data analysis of student learning outcomes with the data processing software SPSS 21 using the formulas T-test and N-gain test Based on the hypothesis test obtained, the learning model of PjBL affects the learning outcomes of students' understanding of environmental pollution material in Man Tebing Tinggi with a t-test of 0.230. The N-Gain test results showed that the PjBL learning model was effective in improving the learning outcomes of students in the Islamic integrated environmental pollution material at MAN Tebing Tinggi, with an N-Gain of 0.72 in the high category.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui derajat infeksi telur cacing endoparasit pada feses kambing. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berjumlah sebanyak 30 feses kambing yang berbeda diambil langsung pada saat kambing mengeluarkan feses secara purpose sampling dan menggunakan dua metode yaitu metode sedimentasi dan metode MC. Master. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan 13 spesies jenis telur cacing yaitu Haemonchus sp., Oesophagustomum sp., Strongyloides sp., Ostertegia sp., Paramphistomum sp., Cooperia sp., Dicrocoelium sp., Moniezia sp., Trichostrongylus sp., Ascaris sp., Bunostomum sp., Fasciola sp., Trischuris sp. Derajat infeksi terdapat pada pola pemeliharaan intensif yang termasuk dalam katagori berat (Heavy) adalah telur cacing spesies Haemonchus sp dan dalam katagori ringan (Low) yaitu telur cacing spesies Trischuris sp.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Discovery Learning-based electronic student worksheet (e-LKPD) that is valid, practical, and effective in improving students' analytical skills on the topic of hormones in the human reproductive system. The method used in this study is research and development (R&D) by adapting the 4D model: define, design, develop, and disseminate. Research instruments included needs analysis, expert validation sheets, and teacher and student response questionnaires. The results show that the developed Discovery Learning-based e-LKPD meets the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. In conclusion, the e-LKPD is suitable to be used as a learning tool that facilitates the development of students' analytical skills.   Keywords: Discovery Learning, E-LKPD, Analytical Skills

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of Red Devil fish (Amphilophus sp.) as an alternative feed on the morphometric growth and body weight of catfish (Pangasius sp.). The method used was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of five feed treatments, each replicated four times, resulting in 20 experimental units. The treatments included: (a) P0: 100% commercial feed, (b) P1: 100% Red Devil feed, (c) P2: 75% commercial feed + 25% Red Devil feed, (d) P3: 50% commercial feed + 50% Red Devil feed, and (e) P4: 25% commercial feed + 75% Red Devil feed. Data were analyzed using ANOVA followed by Duncan’s test at a 5% significance level. The results showed that all five treatments significantly affected the morphometric growth and body weight of catfish. The highest performance was obtained in P1 (100% Red Devil feed), which produced a head length of 2.72 cm, tail length of 1.70 cm, total length of 10.25 cm, and an absolute length growth of 3.12 cm. The body weight reached 9.49 g with a specific growth rate (SGR) of 0.180.   Keywords: Alternative, Feed, Morphometric, Pangasius, Red Devil

Abstract

This study aimed to Develop an instructional medium in the form of a leaflet based on Socio-Scientific Issues (SSI) for the Human Circulatory System topic in Grade XI senior high school students. The Development process employed the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The Define stage involved a needs analysis through interviews and observations, revealing that learning remained textbook-centered and lacked connections to social issues. The Design stage produced a tri-fold leaflet featuring communicative language and supporting illustrations. The product was then validated by media and material experts during the Develop stage and subsequently tested on students. The results show that media and material validation scores were both 90% (categorized as highly feasible). Teacher responses reached 90.76%, and student responses reached 85%, indicating that the leaflet is attractive, easy to use, and supports conceptual understanding. Furthermore, students' learning interest increased, with an average score of 95.44% (very high category). In conclusion, the SSI-based leaflet is considered practical, effective, and feasible to be used as a teaching material that supports contextual and meaningful biology learning.   Keywords: Leaflet, Learning Interest, Learning Media, SSI (Socio-Scientific Issues)

Abstract

The addition of flour from kolang kaling in this research aims to act as a stabilizer and improve the quality of fermented drinks (yoghurt) made from coconut milk. This research aims to analyze the quality of coconut milk yogurt with the addition of kolang kaling flour by testing its physicochemical properties. Experimental research with coconut milk yogurt samples with the addition of 1% kolang kaling flour and without the addition was stored at 40C for 14 days and analyzed for pH, viscosity and total LAB, as well as testing the research samples for water content using the distillation method (thermovolumetric), protein using the method Kjeldahl, fat using Soxhlet extraction, carbohydrate (starch) content testing using the UV Visible spectrophotometric method, and total acid using the titration and organoleptic method with 9 hedonic scales. Research shows that the results of adding palm fruit flour have an effect on the analysis parameters and are in accordance with SNI, namely pH reaches 5-3.94, carbohydrates decrease during H14 fermentation by 20.1%, protein reaches 6.5%, fat around 3%, water content is very low, namely 49%, The viscosity is very low, namely 2.8cP, the acid number is sufficient according to SNI in H14, namely 2%, %, as well as the hedonic results during storage which show statistical test results which are significantly different (P<0.05) on day 7 and day 14. The research can be concluded based on physicochemical analysis and conformity with SNI that the quality of coconut milk yogurt with the addition of kolang kaling flour during storage is good and in accordance with food standards.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the types of ectoparasites and endoparasites infecting swamp eels (Monopterus albus). The research used a descriptive method with purposive sampling technique on 40 swamp eels collected from two different locations. Parasite examination was conducted microscopically using Semichen-Acetic Carmine staining. The results showed two types of ectoparasites, namely Ornithodorus sp. and Clinostomum sp., and three types of endoparasites, namely Diphyllobothrium sp., Ascaris lumbricoides, and Clinostomum sp. The prevalence and intensity of parasite infections varied among samples. This study concluded that environmental conditions and water sanitation influence parasite infections in swamp eels, therefore monitoring of eel consumption safety is necessary.

Abstract

Uji secara molekuler dilakukan dengan menentukan satu penanda yang tepat untuk menganalisis beberapa kajian dalam bidang molekuler. Uji secara molekuler tumbuhan dilakukan menggunakan penanda gen rbcL (Ribulose-1,5-biphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase large subunit gene). Tumbuhan pegagan (Centella asatica (L.) Urban) merupakan herba yang pada umumnya hidup secara liar di tempat terbuka seperti padang rumput, kebun, tepi jalan, dan tepi parit. Tempat tumbuh pegagan seperti dataran tinggi, dataran rendah, dan pesisir pantai sangat mempengaruhi perubahan dari segi molekuler. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana karakteristik molekuler, keragaman molekuler (keragaman genetik) dan hubungan filogenetik tumbuhan pegagan (Centella asiatica (L.) Urban) dengan menggunakan gen rbcL. Penelitian ini memiliki tahapan yaitu koleksi sampel, isolasi DNA, amplifikasi DNA dengan gen rbcL, elektroforesis, sekuensing, dan analisis data dengan MEGA 11. Hasil penelitian dari amplifikasi menggunakan gen rbcL pada DNA genom Centella asiatica (L.) Urban yang diteliti menghasilkan panjang amplikon kurang lebih 600 bp. Pada penyatuan sekuens yang konsesus pada sampel mendapatkan sekuens dengan panjang D1 567 bp dan D2 562 bp. Pembentukan pohon filogenetik menggunakan metode Neighbor-Joining dan model perhitungan Kimura-2-Parameter menunjukkan Centella asatica (L.) Urban termasuk dalam kelompok monofiletik. Hasil analisis keragaman molekuler Centella asatica (L.) Urban menunjukkan bahwa pada seluruh sampel yang dikoleksi dari Desa Pantai Labu Pekan Kabupaten Deli Serdang dan Jl. Air Bersih Ujung Kota Medan memiliki keragaman molekuler. Maka dari itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa gen rbcL menghasilkan barcode DNA dapat digunakan sebagai metode untuk mengidentifikasi Centella asatica (L.) Urban secara molekuler dan sangat efisien dalam menentukan hubungan kekerabatan dengan spesies yang lainnya.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop an interactive Biology module based on Discovery Learning on the Excretory System topic for eleventh-grade students and to evaluate its validity, practicality, and effectiveness in improving creative thinking skills. The method used was Research and Development (R&D) using the 4D model, involving 26 eleventh-grade students, expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and essay tests based on creative thinking indicators, with data analyzed using Likert scales, percentages, and N-Gain. The findings revealed that the developed module was highly valid, practical for classroom use, and capable of improving students' creative thinking skills. Conclusion, the Discovery Learning-based interactive module is feasible and effective as a learning resource for the excretory system topic and supports the development of creative thinking skills.
