Abstract

This study aims to determine levels of nutrients N, P, K, C- organic and ratio of C/N on papaya fruit liquid organic fertilizer, knowing the effect of giving papaya fruit liquid organic fertilizer on growth and yield tomato plants (Solanum lycopersicum L) and find out the optimal concentration of liquid organic fertilizer of papaya waste on the growth anad yield of tomato plants (Solanum lycopersicum L). This research was conducted at the green house, Faculty of Science and Technology, North Sumatra State Islamic University in November to February 2020. The paraneters used are stem height, Number of leaves, Number of branches, number of flowers, and number of fruits. This study used a completely randomized design with four treatment and five replication as the trearment used is treatment 0 (0 %) , treatment 1 (10 %), treatment 2 (20 %), treatment 3 (30 %). The highest research results were found in treatment 3 concentrations of 300 %, while treatmen 2 concentrations of 200 % and treatment 1 concentrations of 100 % good growth, while the lowest growth was found in control. Keywords: Tomatoes, Liquid Organik Fertilizer, Papaya Waste.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat perbedaan hasil belajar dan keaktifan siswa pada pembelajaran Biologi dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Learning Start With A Question dan model pembelajaran konvensional seperti pembelajaran dengan metode ceramah yang umum dilakukan. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian kuantitatif, yaitu penelitian penelitian yang penyajian data-datanya berupa angka-angka dan menggunakan analisis statistik. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan mengadakan tes untuk melihat hasil belajar siswa, dan melakukan observasi dengan lembar observasi untuk melihat keaktifan siswa. Peneliti menggunakan 2 kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol.. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan adanya perbedaan keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa. Keaktifan siswa dikelas eksperimen sebesar 63% sedangkan dikelas kontrol hanya 50% saja. Kemudian untuk hasil belajar siswa dapat dilihat dari rata-rata hasil posttest kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Rata-rata nilai posttest kelas eksperimen adalah 73.06 sedangkan rata-rata kelas kontrol adalah 64,35. Nilai keaktifan siswa menunjukkan kelas Eksperimen > kelas Kontrol, sehingga Ha 1 diterima. Dan hasil uji t juga menunjukkan nilai Sig. (2-tailed)<0,05 sehingga Ha 2 diterima

Abstract

The reason for this exploration is to find out how results are impacted by utilizing the Disclosure Picking up learning model. Understudies in class VIII at SMP Negeri 17 Medan. By administering tests to determine the learning outcomes of students, information collection is completed. The trial class and the control class were the two classes used by experts. Considering the assessment shows that there are contrasts in student learning results. The typical post-test consequences of the exploratory and control classes uncover understudy learning results. The control class's average post-test score was 56.57, while the experimental class's average post-test score was 82.27. Abstract

This article aims to determine the effect of learning with strategiesBrain Based Learning with the help of snakes and ladders media on student learning outcomes at Al-Ulum Private Middle School Medan. This study uses a Quasi Experiment type of research. The population in this study were students of class VIII. The sample used in this study was class VIII 4 as the experimental class. And VIII 5 as the control class. Each class consists of 29 students. The instrument in this study was a multiple choice test consisting of 30 items. Data analysis of student learning outcomes using the test formulattest, also with the help of SPSS Version 22 data processing. Data analysis of student learning outcomes by calculating the average value obtained shows that the experimental class is higher than the control class. The prerequisite test proves that the data obtained is normally distributed and homogeneous. Test calculation resultsttest Sig value is obtained. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05. Testttest experimental class and control class have been obtainedtcount worth 14,855 andttableworth 1,697, so it showstcount > ttable. The conclusion in this study explains that there is an influence on student learning outcomes on the respiratory system material at Al-ulum Private Middle School, after implementing the learning strategyBrain Based Learning by means of snakes and ladders.

Abstract

Tanjungbalai salah satu kota yang dialiri oleh aliran sungai Asahan yang melintasi kawasan industri. Akibat limbah industri limbah dosmestik, kapal nelayan dan aktivitas masyarakat dapat mempengaruhi tercemarnya kualitas biota air sehingga masuk ke metabolisme tubuh manusia menyebabkan muntah, diare, demam, anemia, dan gangguan reproduksi menjadi masalah bagi manusia. Tujuannya untuk melihat tingkatan kadarlogamSeng (Zn) pada Air sungai dan Ikan tilan di sungai Asahan Kota Tanjungbalai. Penentuan stasiun menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Pengujian logam air sungai dan daging menggunakan alat AAS (Atomic Absobtion Spectrophotometer). Hasil kandungan logam berat seng (Zn) pada airsungai Asahan Kota Tanjungbalai seluruh stasiun sebesar 3,38 - 3,45 mg/L sudah melibihi batas baku mutu (PP RI No 22 Tahun 2021) dan kandungan logam berat Seng (Zn) pada daging ikan tilan (Mastacembelus armatus) stasiun I sebesar (15,4 mg/L), stasiun II sebesar (17,7 mg/L) dan stasiun III sebesar (14,9 mg/L), melebihi dari batas baku mutu yang sudah ditetapkan oleh Nomor 51 Tahun 2004 pada logam seng (Zn) sebesar 0.05 mg/L.

Abstract

The development of a Science Process Skills Based Module for class XI Madrasah Aliyah students has been carried out and implemented in class XI of Masrasah Aliyah Nurul Hakim Tembung. This research development aims to produce capital based on science process skills that meets the criteria of being valid, practical and effective. This type of research is Research & Development (R&D) using the Borg & Gall procedure modified by Sugiyono. The test subjects in this research were class XI students, small-scale trials were carried out with 10 students and usage trials were carried out with 27 students. The research has reached the final stage, namely ten stages in R & D research, namely (1) Potential and Problems (2) Data Collection (3) Product Design (4) Design Validation (5) Design Revision (6) Product Trial (7) Revision Product (8) Use Trial (9) Product Revision (10) Mass Production. Based on the results of product validation from several experts, the assessment from media experts was 77% with very feasible criteria, and the material expert assessment was 79% with the category very suitable for use. The assessment results from educators were 94.31% with very suitable criteria and student respondents got a percentage of 87% with very suitable criteria for use. This learning module has met the effective criteria based on the N-Gain test results, a score of 75.81%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hasil belajar dan sikap peduli lingkungan siswa di SMA Swasta Al-hikmah Medan dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Meaningful Instructional Design (MID) pada materi limbah dan daur ulang. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X, dengan sampel berjumlah 40 siswa dikelas eksperimen dan 49 siswa dikelas kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel berupa Non-Probability sampling (Pengambilan secara teratur) dengan tipe Purposive Sampling. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah Quasi-Eksperiment dengan model Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan tes pilihan ganda berupa pre-test dan juga post-test terhadap hasil belajar dan angket digunakan untuk mengukur sikap peduli lingkungan. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh pada hasil belajar yaitu, rata-rata nilai post-test pada kelas kontrol 74.53 sedangkan pada kelas eksperimen 84.1, untuk uji hipotesis dengan taraf signifikan 0.05 diperoleh nilai thitung 6.4090 dan ttabel 1.991. Pada sikap peduli lingkungan, semua indikator mengalami kenaikan di kelas eksperimen disbanding kelas kontrol, dengan rata-rata kenaikan sebesar 6,83%. Pembelajaran dengan model Meaningful Instructional Design (MID) ini dapat menjadi salah satu solusi bagi siswa untuk meningkatkan pemahaman terhadap materi yang dipelajari dan juga dapat meningkatkan sikap peduli lingkungan siswa.

Abstract

Consumption of ethylene glycol–containing drugs can cause liver damage. This study aimed to evaluate the hepatoprotective potential of Moringa leaf extract (Moringa oleifera L.) on AST and ALT levels, liver morphology, hepatosomatic index, and liver histology in ethylene glycol–induced white rats (Rattus norvegicus L.). A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was used with 20 male rats divided into five groups: normal control, ethylene glycol control, and three treatment groups (150, 300, and 450 mg/kg BW). Ethylene glycol was administered for 30 days, while the extract was given for 20 days. Blood samples were collected on day 31. Data were analyzed using One Way ANOVA and Duncan’s test. The results showed significant hepatoprotective effects (P = 0.000). AST and ALT levels in the treatment groups differed significantly from the normal control. Liver morphological changes were observed in both control and treatment groups. The hepatosomatic index, number of normal hepatocytes, and central vein diameter also showed significant differences. In conclusion, Moringa leaf extract demonstrates hepatoprotective potential by reducing AST and ALT levels, improving liver morphology, increasing normal hepatocytes, and decreasing central vein diameter, with the optimal dose at 450 mg/kg BW

Abstract

The study aims to identify and determine the characteristics of plants based on the key to determining Zingiberaceae plants in Mount Sibuatan, Nagalingga village, Brand district, Karo district, North Sumatra. The research was conducted from November 2020 to May 2021.The research method used a qualitative descriptive method by exploratory observations along the path starting from the jungle door up to altitude 1500 mdpl. The results showed 15 species of Zingiberaceae, namely Amomum lappaceum Ridl, Etlingera elatior (Jack) R.M. Sm, Etlingera sp.1, Etlingera sp.2, Etlingera sp.3, Geostachys decurvata (Baker) Ridl, Globba marantina L, Globba paniculata Valeton, Globba patens Miq, Globba pendula Roxb, Globba sp, Hedycium sp, Hornsteditia scyphifera (J . Koening) Steud, Zingber zerumbet (L.) Roscoe ex Sm, and Zingiber sp.
