Abstract

Quality Function Deployment (QFD) merupakan suatu metodologi yang digunakan oleh perusahaan untuk mengantisipasi dan menentukan prioritas kebutuhan dan keinginan konsumen, serta menggabungkan kebutuhan dan keinginan konsumen tersebut dalam produk dan jasa yang disediakan bagikonsumen. Berdasarkan definisinya, QFD merupakan praktek untuk merancang suatu proses sebagai tanggapan terhadap kebutuhan pelanggan. Penerapan metodologi QFD dalam proses perancangan produk diawali dengan pembentukan matrik atau sering disebut sebagai House Of Quality(Rumah Kualitas) yang mampu menggambarkan tingkat kualitas produk/jasa yangdihasilkan perusahaan saat ini dan tingkat kualitas yang sebenarnya diinginkan pelanggan, yang meliputi karakteristik keinginan konsumen, karakteristik kualitas yang diberikan kompetitor.Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah: menentukan atribut-atribut sebagai landasan upaya perancangan alat press biji melinjo, mengetahui pendapat konsumen tentang alat press biji melinjo. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Quality Function Deployment(QFD).Hasil yang dicapai adalah: terdapat 9 (sembilan) atribut yang dianggap penting oleh konsumen dan dapat digunakan untuk mengukur kualitas alat press biji melinjo, yaitu: bentuk gagang panjang, bentuk pegangan oval, bentuk tempat tekan bulat, panjang gagang 40 cm, tinggi alat 50 cm, warna hitam, bahan rangka besi, bahan pegangan karet, fungsi utama untuk pembuatan emping. Tampilan produk  sudah sangat memuaskan, Prioritas upaya yang dilakukan perusahaan dalam upaya peningkatan kualitas alat press biji melinjo bedasarkan House of Quality adalah: Menjamin bahwa alat press tersebut benar-benar dirancang semenarik mungkin

Abstract

Tartrazine is a yellow synthetic dye with aromatic and chromo groups. It is widely used in food colouring products and cosmetics, and prolonged consumption can cause kidney damage. Andaliman (Zanthoxylum acanthopodium DC.) is a North Sumatra-native spice plant which reported as antioxidant to repair kidney damage. This study was conducted to determine the effect of ethanol extract of andaliman fruit on the morphology, ureum levels, histology, and glomerular diameter of tartrazine-induced rats. This study employed a completely randomised design (CRD). The ethanol extract of andaliman fruit was dissolved in CMC-Na 1%. Twenty-five rats were divided into 5 groups: negative control (KN), positive control (tartrazine indcution/PN), and treated groups (P1, P2, and P3 induced tartazine and treated with andaliman extract at dose 150 mg/kg BW, 300 mg/kg BW, and 450 mg/kg BW, respectively). After 30 days treatment, kidney damage was observed based on colour and surface of kidneys, kidney index, ureum level, kidney damage score, and glomerular diameter. There are no significant different in the kidney index among groups (p > 0.05). Tartrazin at a dose of 15 mg/kg BW was able to induce the kidney damage as indicated by the increase ureum levels, kidney damage score, and the decrease of glomerular diameter in the negative control. The treatment of andaliman fruit ethanol extract was able to repair the tartazine-induced kidney damage as indicated by the decrease of ureum level and kidney damage score and incread the glomerular diameter.

Abstract

The village, as a legal construct, comprises both a governing body and its community members. However, development initiatives in these rural areas often fail to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities. This neglect leads to the marginalization of persons with disabilities, forcing them to live in isolation within rural environments. In response, the Government of Indonesia has enacted Law No. 8 of 2016 concerning Persons with Disabilities. This legislation aims to elevate the status of persons with disabilities to that of equal citizens, ensuring fair rights and opportunities for their active participation in village development. This study employs a normative juridical methodology by analyzing data from legal documents and literature, complemented by an empirical approach through interviews with relevant stakeholders. The research seeks to elucidate the rights of persons with disabilities within the framework of village development and to explore village government perspectives on their inclusion. Development efforts must shift toward a community-centered model that integrates the interests of the disabled population. Accordingly, the welfare of persons with disabilities in Lheu Eu Village, Darul Imarah District, Aceh Besar, must be grounded in humanitarian principles. Collaborative efforts among village government, the business sector, academia, and disability advocates are essential to realizing the legal mandate and regulatory framework that govern the inclusion of persons with disabilities in rural development.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Ektoparasit merupakan parasit yang menempel pada permukaan tubuh dan bergantung pada inangnya. Ektoparasit berperan sebagai penyebar vektor penyakit seperti diare, tifus, disentri, miasis, malaria dan demam berdarah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis ektoparasit pada sapi, tingkat prevalensi, dan intensitas serangan ektoparasit di Medan Estate Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Objek penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu 25 ekor sapi yang dipelihara secara intensif dan 25 ekor sapi secara ekstensif yang dilaksanakan pada bulan September sampai Oktober 2021. Pengambilan sampel secara manual dan dengan sweeping net (tangguk serangga). Sampel ektoparasit yang telah didapatkan kemudian diidentifikasi dan dideterminasi. Hasil penelitian didapatkan 4 jenis ektoparasit, yaitu Rhipicephalus microplus, Calliphora vomitoria, Aedes triseriatus, dan Musca domestica. Persentase prevalensi tertinggi terdapat pada sapi yang dipelihara secara ekstensif yaitu, Rhipicephalus microplus dengan nilai 100% (Always: selalu), sedangkan prevalensi terendah pada sapi yang dipelihara intensif yaitu, Calliphora vomitoria dengan nilai 42% (Commonly: umumnya). Intensitas ektoparasit paling tinggi terdapat pada Rhipicephalus microplus dengan nilai 9,3 (Heavy: parah) yang dipelihara secara ekstensif. Intensitas serangan ektoparasit paling rendah pada spesies Calliphora vomitoria dengan nilai 2,6 (Light: ringan) pada pemeliharaan intensif. Abstract

Penggunaan aspirin dengan dosis berlebihan dapat menimbulkan kerusakan pada ginjal dan disfungsi kerja organ ginjal. Daun kenikir (Cosmos caudatus Kunth.) mengandung senyawa yang berperan sebagai antiiflamsi dan antioksidan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran morfohistologi ginjal tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) jantan setelah diinduksi aspirin dan ekstrak daun kenikir (Cosmos caudatus Kunth.). Penelitian ini menggunakan 25 ekor tikus putih jantan yang dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok, yaitu KN (tanpa perlakuan aspirin + ekstrak daun kenikir), KP(Aspirin 200mg/kgBB selama 10 hari), dan kelompok perlakuan ekstrak daun kenikir dengan dosis bertingkat yaitu P1 (700 mg/kgBB), P2 (800 mg/kgBB), P3 (900 mg/kgBB) selama 14 hari. Data dianalisis dengan Uji One Way ANOVA dan uji Duncan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak daun kenikir (Cosmos caudatus Kunth.) mampu memperbaiki gambaran morfologi dan histopatologi ginjal tikus yang diinduksi aspirin. Ekstrak daun kenikir (Cosmos caudatus Kunth.) dengan dosis 900 mg/kgBB adalah dosis yang paling efektif dalam memperbaiki kondisi ginjal.

Abstract

The Belumai River is used for various societal activities as well as a disposal site for residual waste from domestic and industrial activities. One of the fishes in the Belumai River is tinfoil barb (Barbonymus schwanenfeldii). The purpose of this study is to analyze the content of iron (Fe) metals in river water and fish meat. Sampling points or stations for river water and tinfoil barb (Barbonymus schwanenfeldii) used a purposive sampling method. The content of Fe at stations I, II, and III in water also meat of tinfoil barb (Barbonymus schwanenfeldii) was 1,99 mg/L, 2,65 mg/L and 1,99 mg/L while in fish meat it was 27,02 mg/kg, 43,57 mg/kg and 88,42 mg/kg. The results of testing for Fe metal in river water and tinfoil barb’s meat (Barbonymus schwanenfeldii) have passed the water quality standard limits according to PP RI No. 22 of 2021 (0.03 mg/L) and JECFA 2020 (0.8 mg/kg). The BCF grade at station I is 13,57 L/kg, station II is 16,44 L/kg, and III is 44,37 L/kg.

Abstract

Sodium benzoate contains dangerous substances including the chemicals benzene, benzoic acid and sodium hydroxide. As a result of these dangerous contents, it can affect blood components such as erythrocytes, hemoglobin, leukocytes and platelets. The effects caused by food preservatives can be prevented by living a healthy lifestyle and using herbal plants as medicinal therapy. One of them is by using natural ingredients, namely keji shard leaves. This study aims to determine keji beling leaf extract on the number of erythrocytes, hemoglobin, leukocytes and platelets due to food preservatives. The stages in this research include phytochemical screening, observing the number of erythrocytes, hemoglobin, leukocytes and platelets. Data analysis used one way ANOVA and Duncan's test. The results of the study showed that administration of sodium benzoate had an effect on increasing the number of erythrocytes 24.35 ± 0.62, hemoglobin 68.0 ± 2.5, leukocytes 21.80 ± 1.68 and platelets 591.7.8 ± 10.5. Meanwhile, administration of keji beling leaf extract can reduce the number of erythrocytes by 13.00 ± 0.18b, hemoglobin by 26.2 ± 2.2b, leukocytes by 13.00 ± 0.74b and platelets by 353.0 ± 09.4b. The optimal dose of keji beling leaf extract to reduce the number of erythrocytes, hemoglobin, leukocytes and platelets is a dose of 500 mg/kg BW

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disease characterized by impaired insulin secretion in the target organs, especially hepar. Diabetes mellitus can be treated by giving traditional medicine extract of ethanol karanda leaves (Carissa carandas). The purpose of the study was to find out the effectiveness of karanda leaf ethanol extract on the morphology and histopathology of hepar white mouse diabetes mellitus. The study used a Complete Random Design (RAL) with 6 treatments and 4 repeats. The treatment consists of normal control (feed and drink), negative control (120mg/kgBB), positive control (120mg/kgBB+glibenklamid 0.45mg/kgBB, and treatment of karanda leaf ethanol extract at graded doses of 500mg/kgBB, 750mg/kgBB, and 1000mg/kgBB. The manufacture of hepar histology uses the paraffin method with hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining. The data was analyzed using the ANOVA test at a 5% confidence level. The results showed significant differences (p0.05) in normal cells, parenkimatous degeneration, hydropic degeneration, and necrosis and had an effect on improving the diameter of the centralist vein. Administration of ethanol extract of karanda leaves dose of 750mg / kgBB has the potential as a hepatoprotector in white rats with diabetes mellitus. Further testing is needed regarding the optimum limit of the dose of karanda leaf ethanol extract (Carissa carandas) and the toxicity test of karanda leaves.

Abstract

Animal health is an absolute requirement to produce optimum productivity. One of the problems faced by cattle farmers is endoparasite attacks that can cause cows to become thin, have no appetite, and lower selling prices. This study aims to determine the types of worm and protozoa endoparasites, the degree of infection, the prevalence and intensity of endoparasitic attacks on cow feces that are raised extensively and intensively in Setia Janji District, Asahan Regency. The methods used for the identification of the type of endoparasite are sedimentation and flotation. While the method used for the calculation of eggs / oocysts per gram of feces uses Mc. Master. From 60 fecal samples examined, 12 species of worms were found, namely Paramphistomum sp., Fasciola sp., Dicrocoelium sp., Oesophagostomum sp., Trichostrongylus sp., Capillaria sp., Haemonchus sp., Cooperia sp., Ascaris sp., Bunostomum sp., Trichuris sp., Strongyloides sp., and 2 protozoa namely Buxtonella sp., and Eimeria sp.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Rokok dapat menyebabkan berbagai gangguan kesehatan terhadap perokok dan perokok pasif. Asap rokok memiliki kandungan yang menimbulkan ancaman, termasuk karbonmonoksida, tar, nikotin, radikal bebas, dan eugenol. Akibat dari kandungan berbahaya tersebut, dapat mempengaruhi komponen-komponen darah seperti, eritrosit dan trombosit. Efek yang disebabkan oleh paparan asap rokok dapat dicegah dengan pola hidup sehat atau menggunakan tanaman herbal untuk perawatan obat. Menggunakan bahan alami seperti daun salam adalah salah satunya. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk memastikan bagaimana ekstrak daun salam mempengaruhi jumlah eritrosit, trombosit, dan masa perdarahan akibat paparan asap rokok.Metode: 20 tikus putih jantan digunakan dalam penelitian ini, dengan memakai rancangan acak lengkap dan 5 perlakuan kelompok. Kelompok negatif tanpa perlakuan selama 30 hari. kontrol positif diberikan 3 batang paparan asap rokok selama 30 hari, kelompok perlakuan 1,2, & 3 dipaparkan asap rokok (3 batang) dan ekstrak daun salam selama 30 hari (P1=62,5; P2=125; P3=250mg/kg BB). Tahapan dalam penelitian ini meliputi skrining fitokimia, pengamatan jumlah eritrosit, trombosit dan masa perdarahan. Pengamatan eritrosit dan trombosit menggunakan hematology analyzer sedangkan pengamatan masa perdarahan menggunakan metode tail bleeding. Uji Duncan dan Anova satu arah digunakan untuk menganalisis data.Hasil: Ekstrak daun salam memiliki efek pada jumlah eritrosit dengan nilai p=0,046. Ekstrak daun salam berpengaruh terhadap jumlah trombosit dengan nilai p=0,002. Ekstrak daun salam berpengaruh terhadap waktu masa perdarahan dengan nilai p=0,005.Kesimpulan: Dosis ekstrak daun salam yang optimal memperbaiki jumlah eritrosit, trombosit dan masa perdarahan adalah pada kelompok perlakuan 3 (P3) dosis 250 mg/kg BB.
