Abstract

Nurul Jadid University (UNUJA) at Probolinggo, Indonesia, is one of the universities located in Karanganyar, Paiton District, Probolinggo Regency, which is based in Pesantren, as a place for students who want to gain knowledge not only in the religious field- but also technology and health. Administrative data monitoring activities from 17 Student Activity Units owned by Nurul Jadid University are still run manually or face-to-face directly between the student affairs section and the head of the student affairs section starts monitoring from submission of decision letters, budgets, work programs, proposals, and activity reports of each student activity units. Several problems arise in this way; the busyness of students with a tight lecture schedule causes a slow process of depositing files and others, impacting the predetermined time- Therefore, an application is needed to monitor administrative data at Nurul Jadid University. The RAD method was chosen in this study to achieve the expected goals. An Android-based student activity unit (SAU) of Nurul Jadid University of administration data monitoring application has been produced.

Abstract

Addressing the gap between school education and industry needs is a recurring concern, as many graduates struggle to enter the workforce due to lacking practical skills. Industry Classes aim to bridge this gap by preparing students with relevant skills and knowledge aligned with real-world industry demands. This study focuses on the application of Constrained K-Means Clustering to categorize students in the software engineering competency classes at SMKN 2 Kraksaan. This algorithm modifies traditional K-Means by utilizing Linear Programming Algorithm (LPA), ensuring each cluster meets predefined subject requirements. The research involves analyzing academic proficiency test data (TKDA) from 96 X-grade students, evaluating their abilities in analogy, series, figural, mathematical, and recall skills. Using a 3-cluster approach, each with 32 to 60 student capacity constraints, the study aims to optimize student distribution for effective learning outcomes. Evaluation through silhouette method yielded a score of 0.3199, indicating satisfactory separation between clusters with overlap to address. Cluster analysis revealed Cluster 2 as the most proficient, showcasing strengths in recall and series attributes critical for software engineering. These findings suggest that Constrained K-Means Clustering is effective in classifying students, highlighting Cluster 2 as optimal for software engineering competencies at SMKN 2 Kraksaan. Future research should focus on enhancing data quality, expanding sample size, and refining algorithms for improved clustering accuracy and effectiveness.

Abstract

Kata kunci: Security Smart Home, Internet of Things, Arduino

Abstract

This community service program (PkM) strengthened the competitiveness of Kampoenk Snack MSME (Probolinggo) by raising partner empowerment in management (income generating) and marketing (revenue generating). Baseline conditions showed manual operations: inconsistent transaction and cashflow records, low traceability, and limited digital penetration (online sales <20%, rating 4.3 with <30 reviews). The program applied Participatory Action Research (PAR) in five stages: socialization, training, technology deployment, mentoring–evaluation, and sustainability. Interventions were grouped into (1) management–finance digitalization via a simple accounting/recording app, standardized workflows, and monthly profit–loss reporting; and (2) digital marketing automation through marketplace restructuring, improved content, and notification-based e-commerce (WhatsApp Fonnte, Telegram Bot, email marketing, auto-responder), with WhatsApp direct messages as the primary conversion channel. Performance measures included a management regularity checklist, marketplace dashboards for rating and reviews, notification logs, and content insights. Measurement windows were two weeks for content reach and two months for online revenue. Data were triangulated by cross-checking app records, marketplace recaps, transaction evidence, interviews, and observations. Results show management regularity improved to 85%, promotions reached >300 customers, 15 photos and 5 videos reached ~5,000 accounts in two weeks, online revenue rose ~30% (IDR 2.75 million to ~IDR 3.5–4 million/month), and marketplace reputation increased (reviews 28→53; rating 4.3→4.7).
